Frozen Patties
Skinny Dipping At Dusk
Once again, this is not edited, only because school has just begun and my editors are really busy. I totally inderstand, I have been just as busy, so there will be mistakes here and there. I looked it over twice, so hopefully I caught some of them.
Anyway, enjoy.

âAre you kidding me!â Landon huffed, standing up and walking over to the door.
He pushed against the metal in frustration. Like that would do any help. âWhat are you going to turn into the incredible hulk and bust open the door? No, I didnât think so.â
He shot me a glare just before giving another push to the door. âWhy donât you do something productive and help the broken girl up,â I said sarcastically referring to myself.
âYou look fine to me,â he replied.
I watched as he slammed his fist into the door a few times. Each time his hand connected with the metal, a loud bang echoed through the room. It was no use though, Owen was getting supplies. He should be getting back soon though.
âOh just give up, Owen shouldnât be gone too long,â I said pulling myself up and wrapping my arms around my body.
The chilly air tickled my nose as I looked around the small room. Wow, I had made quite a mess. Packages of patties were scattered everywhere, and a few other boxes of frozen food were spilt. I must have knocked them on my way down.
Landon snickered when he realized I was taking in the mess. âHow did you manage to do all that?â
âThey heard you coming and tried to run away,â I said trying to be funny.
âOh really, because I came after I heard the bang. Maybe they were just running from you.â
Rolling my eyes, I let out a heavy sigh. My breath danced in the air, swirling around in circles. Okay, Owen needed to hurry. It was freezing in here!
Landon lowered himself onto the floor and let his legs spread out. Shrugging my shoulders I joined him on the ground. âSo, what now?â I asked awkwardly
He looked up from his hands with a grin. âPATTY FIGHT!â he screamed tearing open a package and hurling it over to where I sat.
I ducked just in time to hear the patty slam against the wall behind me. âLandon!â I scolded looking back at him.
He was already ripping open another package.
A smile spread across my face as I grabbed one for my own and tossed it at him without taking off the package. The frozen food hit his hand sending the patty he held flying away. Smiling in victory, I took this time to open a package myself and chuck it at him.
The cold processed meat hit him square in the jaw. He let out a grunt and slapped a hand to his face. âOkay, I lied; patty fight is not a good idea!â
Snickering, I thrust me fist into the air. âAnd thatâs why you donât mess with Mia!â
I was surprised when he didnât send a glare my way or laugh. Instead he was busy clutching his face where the patty had hit him. Oh God, did I really hurt him?
Scrambling to my feet, I ran to his side. âOh my God Landon are you okay?â I asked looking down at him.
He looked up at me with a serious face before a smile played with his lips. Before I could react, he had me pinned to the ground under his arms. âAnd that is why you donât mess with Landon!â he shouted with glee, grabbing the unpackaged patties and shoving them down the cleavage in my shirt.
When the cold patties made contact with my bare skin, I let out a little scream. âOh no, thatâs, tha-, thatâs so cold!â
This only made him laugh harder as he stuffed the frozen patties down my shirt. One by one, they stuck against my skin sending shivers down my back. âI give up!â I chocked out between heavy breaths and laughter.
Just as he pulled away from me, the metal door swung open and Owen peered in at us. âWhat the hell is going on?â he asked, looking around the little freezer.
âHe did it!â
âShe did it!â
Landon and I both called out the cliché he did it, she did it statement.
I looked down at myself and blushed. My shirt was pushed to the side and my bright pink bra was showing. The patties in my bra left funny little lumps all over my chest.
Owen glared down at us both. âWhy the heck does she have frozen chicken in her shirt?â
Landon let out a low chuckle as he stared down at us. Although the situation was quite funny, I could tell that Owen was annoyed.
âWell you see, we go locked in here, and Iâm just so hot, and the heat that literally radiates off my body got Mia a little hot, so she stuffed her shirt with the frozen food,â Landon lied with a grin on his face.
Obviously Owen couldnât believe that. âReally, is that what happened Mia? Because if Landon is lying, than Iâm going to have to ban him from the movie night tonight. Which means heâll have to stay in his cabin while the rest of us watch a movie on the over projector.â
âNo, actually thatâs not what happened. You see, Landon can be quite the liar,â I replied.
Pay backs a bitch ainât it?

Sitting on the cushiony couches in the âgameâ room, I picked at my nails. Although the room filled with a couple pool tables, a lot of big couches and a small basketball hope was crowded, I was sitting by myself hoping to sneak off to my cabin and read a book.
After the kitchen incident, Owen had given me the cold shoulder. I guess he was ashamed of my foolish actions. The upside was that Landon was stuck in his cabin all night when the rest of the guys were watching a movie.
âHow about Rudy, thatâs always a good movie?â Julie asked everyone.
A sea of groans echoed through the room. âOh come on, canât we watch something entertaining like American Pie or Animal House?â a red head boy said earning him a few laughs.
Julie glared in his direction. âNow we know that those are inappropriate, now letâs just go with Rudy!â
âBut we watch that every Sunday night!â A familiar voice called out.
I looked in the direction to see Gavin sitting with a few friends. As if he could feel my stare, he turned his head my way. With a little smile he waved for me to join them on their couch. Slowly rising from my seat, I weaved my way through the couches filled with boys until I reached him.
He patted the seat next to him and I lowered myself down. âYou have some explaining to do.â
âAh, yeah, About last night. The whole tradition is true, I just didnât think you would really go through with it. And when Landon took your clothes, I tried to get them back be he wouldnât give them up. So I went to my cabin and grabbed some clothes for you. When I got back you were gone,â he blabbed on, a little blush rising to his cheeks.
Awh, how cute, he felt bad. âShh, itâs okay. Thatâs all I needed to hear.â
Gavin gave me a little grin. âSo, what did you end up doing?â
I could tell his little flirt act was back and smiled. âThatâs for me to know. Only me.â
âOh, I heard you and Landon had some fun in your cabin.â
Anger rising in me, I peered over Gavin to see a light haired boy smirking in my direction. What did he say? âAh, who told you that?â
âItâs a secret,â he said with a wink.
Putting my hand on Gavinâs chest, I pushed him back so I could get a better look at the boy. He was skinny, with a cute smile and gorgeous eyes. He almost reminded me of Nathan. âWell,â
âNick.â
âWell Nick, Iâm pretty sure secrets are supposed to be kept to oneâs self, especially ones that arenât true,â I said scowling at him.
Gavin let out a little chuckle as I sweetly smiled at the boy. Sitting back in my seat, I looked forwards into the dark room. Suddenly a picture popped up on the big screen and the boring football movie started.
âIâm so glad I came to this,â I mumbled sarcastically.
Gavin must have heard because he said, âWant to get out of here? Julie seems really into the movie, she wonât see us going.â
I thought about his plan, liking the sound of it. Although I already was on Owenâs bad side, if Julie caught us she probably wouldnât be too mad. Shrugging my shoulders, I turned back to the dark haired cutie. âSherâ
Quickly, he grabbed my hand and pulled me from the couches and towards the back doors. Looking over our shoulders, we crouched down low until we were far enough back in the room so now one could see. Gavin reached up for the handle and quietly pushed the door open. Once there was a space big enough to fit one body, we slipped outside unnoticed.
âWow, that was easy,â I whispered standing from up my crouch position and facing Gavin.
Without a reply, he grabbed my hand once again and ran towards the lake. Although I struggled to keep my footing, the running was quite easy for me. In almost a minute we were down by the edge of the lake peering into the dark water.
âWant to go for a swim,â Gavin asked as we walked to the edge of the dock side by side.
I thought about the water, about last night and sighed. âNo, I think tonight I should stay away from swimming.â
He laughed. âItâs not like you have to go skinny dipping. Hey, maybe you could even go with your clothes on!â
I thought he was joking until he reached over and in one swift motion shoved me towards the lake. The only thing I could do was scream while I plummeted towards the black water. Slapping the surface, I sunk downwards until I had enough strength to swim back up.
Coughing up the nasty tasting liquid, I opened my eyes to see the dock empty beside for shirt. A splashing noise caught my attention and I turned to the left. Gavin smiled at me as he wadded the water.
âYou jerk!â I yelled, splashing in his direction.
He responded with a chuckle because pushing a wave of water my way. âThere was no way I was going to get you in. So, I decided to make you.â
Rolling my eyes, I swam closer to the dock. Once I had a good hold on the wood leg, I let my body float in the water. In other circumstances I would have been mad, but it was summer camp, and he was Gavin.
I mean, I could never be mad at the boy, even though I had just met him. Suddenly, I remembered my best friend Nathan. Jesh, when was the last time I had talked to him?
âWhat are you thinking about Fray?â Gavin asked breaking the comfortable silence.
âMy best friend,â I answered truthfully.
âIs she hot?â
I let out a little chuckle. âSheâs a he.â
âIs he hot?â
Looking over to where he floated in the water I smiled. âIs there something you want to tell me?â I asked sarcastically.
He pushed out his lower lip and scratched his head as if he were actually pondering the question. âYes there is.â
I waited for a reply that came soon. âI think you are beautiful. And I hope that answers your question.â
Blush crept to my cheeks but was easily hidden by the dark night. Although the moon was out and shining bright, he wouldnât be able to see.
âYouâre not bad yourself,â I replied truthfully. Gavin was very attractive, and truthfully I didnât mind.
I mean, who wouldnât mind being surrounded by attractive men the whole summer. Yeah, Landon was a jerk but he was a pretty piece of eye candy. Owen was older than me, but he was still hot. And Gavin was so cute and adorable, everything he said brought a smile to my face.
âI want you to meet him. Nathan. Heâll visit soon. Youâll like each other, I can tell,â I said almost thinking out loud. Gavin was definitely the type of guy Nathan would hang with.
Pushing off the dock, I floated closer to Gavin, waiting for a reply. Suddenly, there was a loud splash and water rained over me. Although it was surprising, what came next was even worse. Something grabbed my waist and pulled my under the water. I struggled against the grip for a little bit until it released me and I was able to resurface.
Breaking through the top of the water I breathed in a huge gulp or air. After rubbing my eyes, I looked around to see a laughing Landon floating just a few feet away.
âPay back!â he said before his brilliant laugh echoed off the nearby trees once more.
I splashed a handful of water in his direction. The small wave weakly crashed into his chest. âOuch, that hurt,â he mocked me.
âHey whoâs out there?â
Landon, Gavin and I all snapped our heads in the direction of the voice.
It was Owen.
So, hope you enjoyed this one:D
