[Chapter 19]

♥︎Married and Blessed♥︎

Lumira

We were supposed to meet the next day to shop for our wedding rings and grab the last bit of stuff left, but Samantha had clear instructions we can't meet the rest of the days left till our wedding.

Which is only the day after tomorrow. But it feels like a lifetime. We already had 3 days apart and now again we were pulled away from each other.

But it also is exciting, heightening the level of our anticipation.

After a terrible and long wait, tomorrow is finally the D-Day.

"How are you feeling?" Ayan asks over the phone.

I stayed at my parents' for the last night of being unmarried. Currently, I am standing on the balcony with a hot cup of tea and enjoying the cool breeze blowing past me.

I look up at the glowing moon and smile, "I really don't know. I feel giddy, happy, nervous and excited. All at once."

He chuckles, "Same here. But I really can't wait for you to become mine. We have waited so long."

I blush and take a sip from my cup. "Me too. By the way, where are we going for honeymoon?" I ask.

"Mmm, where do you wanna go?"

I take a moment to think before answering. "How about France? I've always wanted to see the Eiffel tower."

"France it is then. Wherever my bride wants."

I roll my eyes even though he can't see me. "Get some rest now. We have a long day tomorrow."

He sighs and I know he doesn't want to hang up but we need the rest if we want to look good for the photos.

"Okay, goodbye then."

"I love you, Ayan." I press a kiss to the phone and hear him groaning which makes me laugh.

"Love you too, babe."

We hang up and I get back to my bed. Huddling under the blanket, I giggle in glee and get cozy.

My whole body trembles as we stand just behind the gates. Dad pats my arm and kisses my head with a smile. I can see tears glistening in his eyes as he watches me with admiration.

"Dad, I'll always be your little girl." I peck his cheek, not wanting to cry too.

"I know. I love you, sweetie."

"I love you too, dad."

Finally the doors open and the music starts. A violin version of 'I can't help falling in love with you'. We chose it as our song since we actually couldn't help but fall for each other.

I am wearing our family's traditional white gown. It belongs to my great grandma but still is in a good shape.

We had it altered with my body measure maintaining the original design. I must say it looks perfect on me. As I walk down the aisle and meet my fiancé's eyes, he looks at me like I've ascended from the heavens or something.

Ayan looks breathtaking in a black tux and bow tie, hair gelled backwards and eyes shining with unshed tears. My breath hitches and blush dusts over my cheeks as he walks down to take my hand.

"Take care of her." Dad says while putting my hand on his and pats his back.

"With my life." He promises with determination and my heart melts.

We step back up at the alter in front of the flowery wedding gate.

"Everyone, please be seated." The priest orders and the ceremony begins.

We don't hear anything except the time we have to say 'I do', our eyes never once leaving each other's and hands clasped together.

"Now I pronounce you husband and wife. You may the kiss the bride."

Ayan doesn't need to be told twice as he kisses like sweeping me off my feet and my whole body warms.

Everyone applauds around us but we are too lost in each other's embrace to even take a notice of the world.

"Hey, Mrs. Quill." He whispers when we part.

I smile shyly, hands on his shoulders and my eyes dancing with desires.

"Hi, Mr. Quill." We giggle at each other.

It's the happiest I've ever been.

After the dance and dinner, we change in the green room and head directly for the airport. Our families bid us goodbye at the airport and congratulate us again and again.

We hug them all and then board the plane. Ready for honeymoon.

"It feels amazing to be your husband." Ayan says as the plane takes off.

I link our arms and rest my head on his shoulder, watching out of the window and admiring the fluffy clouds.

"Same here. Hey, are we gonna live with your parents?" I ask.

We haven't really talked about our living arrangements after marriage. I know Ayan lives with his parents and it's normal for him, but I don't know how I feel about this.

"Only for a week. Some of our relatives are gonna visit to meet the new bride. I hope you'll be okay with it." He pleas softly.

I nod, "I understand. But what about after?"

He grins cheekily and kisses my cheek.

"I've already bought a house for us. Near the lake you like so much."

My eyes glint as I tackle his face with several butterfly kisses, he laughs loudly.

"Then maybe I should put my condo up for sale." I say, feeling a bit sad since so much of my life was spent there.

He cups my chin and kisses my lips with all the emotions pouring into it.

"To build new and precious memories, we gotta let go of our past."

I nod and rest my head back on his shoulder.

A new start awaits us, an adventure full of love.
