CHAPTER ELEVEN
She Was Broken Beyond Repair
Kyle Redmond P.O.V
Last night sleep seemed like an alien expression.
I was excited to meet my son's for the second time! I had planned on visiting them at their school, now that I know where they attend their pre-school. I'll make sure to visit them everyday and establish a father son bond with them, since I'll be here for a long time, I would like to familiarise with my children.
Meeting them yesterday made me feel proud of being a father to such adorable and well mannered kids. Paisley surely has raised them with love, care and attention. It does not come as a surprise to me, because she herself is very well mannered, patient and loving. Anyone who knows her whether in a personal capacity or not is aware of this fact.
Right now it was 7:30 in the morning and I was ready to leave.
I took the elevator and went down to the lobby of the hotel, reaching I hurriedly took the car and drove off to my children's school.
In next 20 minutes, I reached the building that read "Blooming Flowers".
As I entered the building, my gaze fell on the parents droping off their kids. I felt a longing in my heart, even I could come and drop Noah and Ryder like this. Setting my thoughts aside I tried to locate the school office. After a couple of mintues of useless walking I decided to ask for help. I saw the back of a woman and walked in her direction.
"Excuse me, madam?" I said causing her to turn around.
"Yes? How can help you, sir? She asked politely.
"Well could you please tell me the way to the main office? I can't seem to find it." I told her.
"Sure! Just walk straight and take the second left. It's right there." She guided me.
"Thank you, Madam." I said.
"No problem!" She replied.
I just smiled politely at her and followed her directions.
I reached the office and saw an old lady sitting behind the desk busy reading a file. I knocked on the door to catch her attention, she looked up from what she was reading and asked me to come in.
"Goodmorning Ma'am." I said.
"Morning! What can I help you with?" She asked.
"I am Kyle Redmond, I am here to meet Ryder and Noah Redmond. Could I please?" I asked her, as the excitement to meet my children heighten to it's highest notch.
"Just let me check. There are alot if kids, it's difficult to remember each one by name." She said pushing the glasses up her nose.
After going through her records on the computer she looked up at me confused.
"There are no Ryder and Noah Redmond in this school. Instead we have Ryder and Noah Smith." She said looking at me with suspicion.
To say I was shocked would be an understatement. She even changed my children's lastname. Paisley has gone way too far!
First she keeps me and my kids away from each other, then she keeps my existance a secret to them and now this. It's just too f*cking much!
"Well ma'am, I am sure this a result of a misunderstanding. I would like me meet the boys. I am my their father." I told her with irritation.
"Well sir, you cannot meet the kids just like that. You aren't even registered here as their father. I can't allow you to, it's against our security rules." She said in an annoyed tone. The sudden change in her attitude showed she wanted me to leave right away.
"Not registered? Then who is registered as their father?" I demanded.
"Nobody. Miss.Paisley Smith is registered as their mother and Mr.Luke Dawson as their guardian." She answered.
"Luke Dawson?" I repeated unable to believe my ears.
"Yes." She said curtly.
"But I need to meet them ma'am. I am their father." I said again.
"Can you give me an assurance, young man?" She asked.
"Of course! See this." I showed her mine and Paisley's marriage registration certificate picture on my mobile. I made sure to carry it with me to the States to prove things to her.
After studying it carefully she looked up.
"I cannot fully believe it. These things can be made, but at the moment I don't have a choice. After you leave I'll have to ensure it....." She was saying something, but I cut her off.
"You can do whatever you want after I leave. I want to meet my children now." I growled.
"You can't I am sorry! Yesterday we got a call saying they would not attend school this whole week." She said.
"Who made this call may I know?" I asked clenching my fits.
"Their guardian Mr.Dawson." She said.
The moment I heard his name, I hastily walked out of the office without another word and went to the car.
I sat in the car and immediately drove to Paisley's place.
I reached her place and got out of the car slamming the door behind me.
I reached the main door and harshly pounded on the door.
The door was open by a very agitated Luke Dawson.
"Why are you here Redmond?" He spat.
I just ignored him, shoved him aside and entered the house. I looked around and couldn't see Paisely anywhere. So I yelled out loudfor the whole neighbourhood to hear.
"PAISLEY GET HERE THIS INSTANT!!" I yelled.
Luke came to my side "Why do you want to see her Redmond? And stop shouting the kids are sleeping." He hissed roughly pushing me backwards.
"I will do whatever the hell I want! I don't care if the kids are sleeping, they are my concern not yours!" I spat with venom.
Even after fives minutes Paisley Redmond decided not to come down and grace us with her presence.
At this moment I was so furious, I feared I would do something I'd deeply regret.
"PAISLEY REDMOND COME DOWN BEFORE I COME AND GET YOU!" I yelled again.
She hurriedly came down looking angry.
"What is wrong with you? Why are you shouting? You'll wake up my boys. Keep your voice low in my house." Paisley said.
"STOP! I want to know why is this man" I said pointing towards Dawson "is registered as a guardian at my children's school and why is my name not there as their father?"
"You wanna know right?" She asked and I nodded folding my arms over my chest.
"Well, I don't owe you an explanation. And don't you dare come to my house without my permission and shout here." She said and my anger reached to the brink. Taking a deep breath I made an attempt to calm myself.
I slowly walked close to her till there was only a little space betwee us.
"You very well owe me an explnation about everything wife. I want the answer to my question!" I persisted.
"No, I don't! I will not be your wife for long. And do not use that tone with me again. Why did you visit my son's school anyways?"She asked.
"I can visit them whenever and wherever I want, Paisley! I will do that and even you cannot stop me. I as a father have absolute right on my children. Now answer my question!" I ordered.
"I will not answer any of your questions...." Paisley was saying something when Dawson cut her off.
"She will not answer. She is not liable to you in anyway! Leave right now Redmond!" Luke said.
"You seem to have no manners, Mr.Dawson! You are not suppose to interrupt when two people are already talking. I guess you should go to the school with the kids, so that you can learn basic etiquettes!" I mocked him shouting at the end.
"I do not need any advise from you. I am capable of deciding....." He was saying, but now he was cut off by my son's.
"Good morning mommy!" My son's greetred Paisley while coming downstairs.
They are very adorable and well-mannered but are terrible with timings. But they are kids, my kids and I can never be annoyed at anything they do.
"Good morning sweethearts! Why are you both up so early?" Paisley asked softly as she bent down to their level, placing a kiss on their foreheads.
"We couldn't sleep. Somebody was shouting." Ryder complained pouting while rubbing his eyes.
"Uncle Luke, Uncle Kyle Good morning!" Greeted Noah.
I walked to the boys and ruffled their hair.
"Good morning, young man!" I smiled at him.
"Good morning mommy's friend!" Ryder chirped coming to me.
"Good morning buddy!" I replied.
"Did you ask daddy to come and meet us Uncle Kyle?" Noah asked while they pulled away from me.
I looked at Paisley and saw she was about to say something but I beat her to it.
"I did, Noah." I told him.
"Then is he comming to meet us?" Noah asked.
"Of course! He is right here. Do you want to go out with him have an ice cream?" I asked.
"Yes-yes!" Both of them said excitedly.
"Noah, Ryder go back to your room! I don't want to see you out here." Paisley ordered them.
"Why Paisley? Why should they go inside? They have complete right to know about me." I said in a voice challenging her to do otherwise.
"Don't Redmond! Stop playing with the boys. You should know what to say infront of such small, innocent kids." Dawson said again.
"Oh! The kids are mine! They are suppose to know about me." Without waiting any further I turned around and bent down to the boys level.
"Noah, Ryder you both want to meet your daddy right?" I asked my children.
"No Kyle! Please don't do this. Please!" I heard Paisley but ignored her and continued.
"I am your daddy! And I am right here with you both." I told my son's, my voice thick with emotions.
"You are our daddy!?" They both asked shocked.
"Yes, boys! I am your father." I confirmed.
"Is that right mommy?" "Is he our daddy mommy?" Both of them asked Paisley looking in her direction. I looked at her too daring her to deny it any of it.
"Yes, he is your father." Paisley said averting her gaze from mine.
Their face immediately broke into a huge grin their eyes sparkled with happiness and they tackled me in a big hug which sent me on ground.
They sat on me while I was on the ground and hugged me tight.
"Thwank you daddy! Thwank you for coming and meeting us. We are good boys daddy plewese don't go away!" Noah said still hugging me.
"Yes daddy! We are good boys. Plewese don't leave us now. We love you!" Ryder said pulling away from me and directly looking at me with hope in his eyes.
"Of course! I am not going to leave you boys. I love you too boys! I love you both!" I said to them.
"Do you both wanna go out with me and have some ice-cream, and probably after that we can go to the park and play?" I asked.
"Can we mom?" Noah asked his mother.
"Darling I am afraid you can't....." Paisley tried to refuse but I cut her off.
"Yes you can boys. Mommy will let you go out with your father. You both go get changed, we'll leave after you both are ready." I told them.
"Okay daddy!" They said in unison and ran off to change.
"Kyle, please don't do this. They are too young. Don't confuse them. I would have told them about you, but when the time would be right. Try and understand Kyle....." Paisley was saying but I beat her to it again.
"Why, Paisley? Do I as a father, don't have any right on them? You had four long years to tell them about me, their father, but you didn't. I have no intention of turning them against you, love, but I want to bond with them. I have missed a major part of their life, now when I have the chance to make up for the missing years, why shouldn't I? You tell me, Paisley, is it wrong to want to know and spend time with my son's?" I asked her.
"He's trying to manipulate you Paisley! Don't fall for his sweet words. It's another one of his of his webs!" Dawson said trying to influence Pasiley.
"I don't know, Luke. I think I should let the kids go with him. After all they will spend time with him after the divorce, I don't want things to be awkward between them later on. Let him take the boys for a couple of hours." She was talking about me to that Dawson as if I wasn't even standing there, turning around and told me, "Kyle, I want the boys back by lunchtime. And do not give them any false hope! You are going with them to bond stick to that nothing else."
"Thank you, baby! I will bring them back to you by 1." I said. Ignoring the fact that she mentioned our divorce.
"Lets go daddy! We are ready!" I looked up and saw both of them racing down the stairs.
"Stop running!" Me and Paisley both said at the same time, we looked at each other and I gave her a smile.
"Be good boys and don't trouble daddy. And remember not to have more than one scoop of the ice-cream and do not ask daddy for something I don't get you. Okay?" Paisley instructed them softly.
They both nodded happily.
"Lets go kids!" I said
"Bye mommy!" They said hugging and kissing her cheeks.
"Bye!" She said hugging them.
They turned around and went to Luke.
"Bye Uncle Luke!" They said and kissed his cheeks also when he bent down to their level.
"Bye young men. Take care and do as mommy says." He said to them.
"Okay so now let's get going." I said.
I walked towards the door and they immediately followed me.
We went out and sat inside the car. Once inside the car I had Noah and Ryder settled into their car seats I had asked my driver to pick after knowing about them. I went and sat in the driver's seat.
"So boys it's too early for any ice-cream parlour to be open at the moment, till then do you want to go where daddy is living and watch some cartoons?" I asked.
"But I want ice-cream dad!" Noah complained pouting.
"Even I want ice-cream!" Ryder said giving me a puppy dig expression.
"Okay then. We'll go where daddy is staying and you can have ice-cream there while watching cartoons. What say?" I asked.
They both nodded excitedly.
After 15 minutes we reached the hotel and I took the boys straight up to my suite.
I scanned the card and let them in.
"This so bootiful daddy!" Ryder exclaimed looking around the suite.
Till that time Noah ran to the bedroom.
"Rywder! Rywder come here! We can jump on the bed!" Noah shouted while jumping on the bed. I and Ryder followed his voice and went to the bedroom.
"Really??" Ryder asked in disbelief.
"Yes! Mom is not here, we can jump. Now come on!" Noah said while motion Ryder to come up.
"Wait, what do you mean by "mom is not her and we can jump?" I asked puzzled.
"One day mom was down in the kiwthen making us choco milk. Then Rywder started jumping on the bed. We were having fun, Rywder fell of the bed screaming and his nose started blweeding. Mom came up and saw this, she also started crying seeing Rywder. From then we not allowed to jump on the bed." Noah explained and I was surprised at how much he could talk.
"So, if mom does not allow you to jump, even I can't. Sorry boys." I told them.
"But dad plewese. I will be carefull this time." Pleaded Ryder.
"No, means no! I cannot allow you to do that. Why don't you boys watch cartoons or some movies?" I suggested.
"Movie." Noah said.
I looked at Ryder and he nodded in approval.
"Okay. So which movie do you wanna watch?"
"Air buddies!" Noah said and Ryder again nodded.
"Okay. Wait for sometime then." I said and walked away.
I went to my laptop downloaded the movie and transferred it into a pen drive. I connected the pen drive to the T.V in my bedroom and started the movie.
Once they movie started I settled them into the bed.
20 mintues into the movie I asked them "Would you both like to have some ice-cream?"
Hearing my question their faces glowed with happiness.
"I want chocolate ice-cream!" Ryder said.
"And I want dwough ice-cream!" Noah said and I laughed.
"You mean you want cookie dough ice cream?" I asked him, and he nodded his head eagerly. Chucking I ruffled his hair.
"Okay. It'll be here in a few mintues." I said and turned to place an order to the room service.
Exactly after 15 minutes the ice-creams came and the boys ate it happily.
By the time the movie ended the boys already had three scoops of ice-cream. I didn't want them to eat too much because they could have sore throats, but their puppy dog faces are hard to say no to. Eventually I had to get them what they wanted.
..........................
It was 11 am and the kids were playing in the park.
Noah is the most energized out of the two. He just never sits at one place! Like his mom. While Ryder is a bit lazy, just like me.
"Okay! Let's go back to the hotel boys. You both seem tired." I told them.
They immediately held both my hands in their and started walking to the car. Seems like they really are exhausted.
I fixed them in their car seats and drove back to the hotel.
By the time we reached the hotel they were fast asleep and seemed too peaceful to be woken up.
I carried them both in my arms to the suite. I thought it would be easy but hell they were not too light to carry. And them sleeping did not help at all.
After alot of efforts I managed to open the door.
I went inside the bedroom and made them lay down on the bed and fixed the blanket.
I was already 12:40 I had to take them back by 1. They were sleeping so I decided to call Paisely to inform her that we would be late. I know I am their father and I don't need her permisson, but in the current situation I could not risk things with her.
I called her and she picked up after a few rings.
"Hello?" Paisley said.
"Hey! I just wanted to inform you that we will be a little late in coming back." I said.
"Why? Are the kids alright? What happened to...." She asked and I cut her off.
"Relax! They are fine. They are just too tired and sleeping soundly. I don't want to wake them up. I'll bring them as soon as they are awake." I assured.
"Fine! But what....."
"Paisely!!! Come here Melissa wants to speak to you. And get me another soda please!" My wife was cut off by that Dawson interrupting her.
"I have to go. Bring them home as soon as you can. And don't not feed them with any kind of false hope!" She hung up without waiting for my reply.
All this time when I was busy with the kids, I forgot Paisley was with him.
I felt jealous! The thought of her being with him being was not acceptable to me.
Something had to be done. It had to be done soon!
...............................
It was 2 pm when the boys woke up from their slumber.
"Slept well, lads?" I asked them while they were sleeply opening their eyes.
"Yes dad! But I am hunwrgry." Ryder said.
"Okay. What do you guys want to eat?" I asked.
"I want chicken nuggets!" Noah replied.
"I want fish fingers!" Ryder said.
"Fine. But they aren't really meals. You don't want anything else with it?" I told them.
They both just shook their head negatively.
"I'll order it! And after you both are done we'll go back to mom." I said.
"But I want to stay here! Please ask mom to come here." Noah said.
"Yes daddy! We had fun today! I want mommy to come here with us and stay. I don't want to go back." Ryder said.
"Mommy cannot come here boys. You both have to go back." I said.
"But we don't want to!" Ryder strongly said.
"Please try and I understand, champ. It's not possible...." I was saying.
"No!" Noah said cutting me off.
"Look boys, you both are too young to understand somethings. But when everything is fine, all of us with mommy will be together, okay?" I said softly yet firmly.
"We are big boys! Tell us, we will understand." Noah said.
"It's grown up stuff Noah. I am telling you both to wait. After sometime all of us will be together. Fine?" I asked.
"Daddy why not now? You know....." Ryder tried to say something but I cut him off.
"Don't argue boys! I am telling you something, be good boys and understand. This way you are troubling daddy. Mommy told you not to trouble daddy, right?" I said.
They both nodded looking at me intently.
"So, please don't ask so many question. I am getting you food after that we'll go back to mom okay?" I asked and they nodded again.
I gave them a smile and ordered do for them.
............................
After eating food and everything we left the hotel at 3:30.
On the way I saw a toy shop and stopped.
"Come on boys! Let's get my chapmion's some toys!" I announced.
They immediately cheered and waited for me to get them out of their seats.
We went inside the store and I asked the boys to take whatever they like.
Six toys and 1 hour later we left the store.
I know Paisley will not like me buying them such expensive toys, but I can't help it I want to get them everything I could have all these years back.
It was 5pm when we reached the house.
I took the boys with me and rang the bell ready to hear an earful from my wife.

Hey Babies!
This chapter might be boring but I wanted the kids to know about their father and show the sense of comfort between Kyle and his children.
