CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN

Paisley Redmond P.O.V

The very next day as I woke up, and saw Kyle sleeping next to me peacefully. A wide smile found its way to my lips as I remembered his proposal last night, and gave him a kiss to which he responded.

As Kyle woke up, he decided to take a quick shower and skip breakfast as he was running late for office.

Once he left, I called mom to give her the last nights news .

"Hey, my princess! You seem to be too busy to call up your mom...." Mom taunted with a chuckle, which I understood.

"No, mom, nothing as such. I have been just real busy settling in this new life, plus the work load. Anyways, there are many things I have to share with you." I sighed feeling gulity as I couldn't talk to mom for the past couple of days.

"Go ahead! Tell me everything thing, Paisley." Mom softly instructed.

It took me good half an hour to explain to her everything about the work load and the busy schedule at the firm and home. And lastly the most awaited news that gave me goosebumps was Kyle and I re-marrying.

She listened to me patiently and advised me with every news. But when I told her about the last news, she was surprised, shocked, over-joyed, crying, all those reactions with just one news.

"Honey, are you serious that you and Kyle are finally going to be together?" Mom said while I could feel her tears of joy.

"Yes, mom! Just last night Kyle proposed and I of course said yes." I said my cheeks flaming.

"Oh baby, I can't tell you how happy I am! Seems like all your the hardships and struggles have come to an end. You deserve the best, darling. I'm so overjoyed!" Mom rasped out emotionally.

"Yes, mum. I'm happy too." I said with a smile.

I chatted with mom for some more time and she promised she would fly here as soon as possible. We hung up the line after our goodbye's.

As Noah and Ryder were at Mel's place, I called her up and told her I was coming up to pick the kids where I would tell her the news too.

I headed towards my room from the gym and took a nice relaxing shower. I changed into something comfy, I decided to wear denim shorts along with black v-neck t-shirt, and white vans. After I was done getting ready, I drove over to Melissa's house.

I reached Mel's place in half an hour and punched in the bell. The moment Mel opened the door I saw the Noah and Ryder in a restless state, but that was gone as soon as they saw me.

The rushed towards me in at an incredible speed and lunched on me, hugging me extremely tight which sent me almost rolling on the door.

Melissa gushed over the sight and snapped some pictures of us. As the three of us got up from the ground, Melissa guided us inside.

After talking for with the boys, I asked all the three of them to go and play in Brandon's room, as Mel and I had to talk.

The moment kids went away from our sight. I began telling everything to her.

"So last night, Kyle proposed to me again." I told her waiting for her reaction.

"You better would have said yes, else I'm going to beat you to death." Melissa gave her dramatic comment and I rolled my eyes.

"Of course I said yes." I laughed.

"Wohoo! Finally somebody is getting married after so many years." She yelled, almost making me deaf.

I grimaced, "You're acting as if I'm getting married for the first time."

"Shut up! I'm excited we'll be attending a close persons wedding again. Let me tell you Paisley, I'm going to be the maid of honour, you are going to follow all my commands without being a bitch. From the wedding dress to the cuisine, I'll look after everything." She said with sheer excitement.

"Of course, yes. You're doing to all the things, while I'll be getting pampered by the rest of you, just like a to-be-bride should." I joked.

"Since last time you're wore an absolutely charming, classy and stunning dress. This time, you're going to opt for a sexy gown, that looks elegant and beautiful at the same time." Melissa suggested.

"Absolutely, I want the look to change this time." I agreed with her.

Later as we were talking, the topic drifted away to Luke. Melissa always guides me without bias. So, I told her the situation going in my mind about, how will I tell Luke about this, and how would her react?

She heard me patiently, advising me to tell him about everything without any delay.

After an hour or so, Mel and I along with the kids went out for lunch.

I came back home with the boys in the evening, expecting Kyle to be there, but he wasn't. So, I decided to call and check up on him, but my mobile was dead. I immediately plugged in the charger and called him.

"Hey, my love! Where have you been? I have been calling you for the past couple of hours, but your number was switched off." He said his voice laced with concern.

"I am sorry, babe, my phone was out of battery. I had gone to Mel's place to pick up the kids, and after that we went away for lunch." I told him.

"You had me worried, Paisley!" Kyle said.

"Sorry. Where are you, weren't you suppose to be home a bit early today?" I asked.

"That's what I wanted to tell you about. I have to work late tonight. I have an important meeting to attend, I'll be late. Please don't wait up for me." Kyle said and disappointment crept over me. It's really been like this with both of us. We have been incredibly occupied with work.

"Fine. But don't miss your dinner and all the best for the meeting." I told with a small sigh.

"I won't, baby, and thank you. I gotta go now, love you." He said.

"Love you too!" I said and up the call.

I woke up the next morning to only to see Kyle being missing. I checked the whole house but couldn't find him, so I decide to call him. As I was about to pick up my mobile from the nightstand, I saw a note lying there for me from Kyle.

"Good morning, beautiful. By the time you wake up and find this note, I'll already be in office. Last night when I came home late, I saw you sleeping soundly and didn't have the heart to disturb you. I will call you once I am done with the meeting. Wish me luck, take care. I love you, Mrs.Redmond!" This is what the note read. The last line though, made me blush slightly with a ghost of a smile playing on my lips.

I went to the twin's room and saw them sleeping soundly and decided to leave them undisturbed till I make them breakfast.

I went down to the kitchen to see Rose already present there.

"Good morning Rose!" I greeted giving her a full blown smile.

"Good morning honey! Did you sleep good? I come this morning and knocked on your door several times, but you didn't open." She said.

"Yes, I did. I was really tired last night and that's why I had such a heavy sleep. Sorry." I told her.

"Oh! There is no need to say sorry, sweetheart. I glad you had a good sleep. By the way, where are those two monkey's of the house?" Rose said pouring me a glass of milk.

"Still in bed sleeping. I was planning to make them some breakfast." I told her.

"That's lovely! Let me know if you need my help, dear." Rose said.

"Will do!" I said and got up to make breakfast for the boys.

I made the boys fresh fruit salad, waffles, pancakes and chocolate milkshake.

I took me 30 minutes to make all these things. When I was done I took off my apron and went up to their room.

They were still sleeping, placing a small kiss on their forehead, I woke them up and took them to the breakfast table. They ate happily as they had all their favourites.

It was around 5 in the evening when I mustered up the courage to call Luke. I called up waiting for him to pick up.

"Hey Luke!" I greeted happily.

"Hey Tiger! How are you and my monkey's?" He said.

"I am great and so are those two. What about you, how are you doing?" I asked him.

"I am great too. Loving it here, Greek food is my new favourite!" He said with a laugh.

"Always a foodie!" I said laughing.

"How's everybody?" He asked.

"Doing well. Aren't you in touch with anybody?" I asked slightly worried. I don't want Luke to distance himself from everybody as he left because of me.

"I am don't worry. I talked to Melissa last week. It's good to see her adjusting with the past events and trying to move on." He said.

"Luke, I um..... uh... have to tell you something." I said nerverously.

"Just tell me." Luke said.

"Kyle and I are getting..... married again." I too him biting my bottom lip hard drawing out blood.

"Oh well...that's really great news. I am happy for you!" He said but I could sense the sadness in this tone.

"Luke, I know this is very hard for you and really insensitive of me. But you have supported me in very step I have taken, I am alive because of you and so are the kids. My kids are yours too as you are their guardian. We don't want to lose you in any circumstances. I know I have hurt you and please forgive me to it, I am sure sorry is not good enough. But, Luke, will you please give me the gift by gracing me with your presence on my wedding? If you don't want to, I will completely understand." I said.

"Tiger, you don't need to be so formal with me, please. This makes me feel as if things will always be akward between us. I will of course be present, I would be even if you didn't tell me. Just tell me the date, venue and other details and I'll be there. And please do let me know if there is anything I can help you guys with." Luke said.

"Oh, Luke! I can't tell you how greatful I am to you. You are seriously amazing. Thank you so much!" I said tears glistening in my eyes.

"There is no need to thank me, Paisley!" Luke replied.

We talked to each other for some more time about random stuff and bid goodbye after a while.

After talking to Luke I felt as I a huge burden was off my chest.

Late in the evening Kyle came back home tired but happy, this was enough for me to know that the meeting was successful.

The next month went being busy with wedding perperations. Shopping, buying the wedding dress, cake tasting all the other important stuff. With all these things going on, me and Kyle still found time to spend with each other.

Now I was eagerly waiting for the next month when I would marry the love of my life again.
