Chapter 23

The next week everything was back to normal. Darby and I were back in our apartment, I was back to working twenty-four seven and Kade was as busy as ever. So far I haven't received anything else and Jules hasn't been a problem. A few days after Kade told us who left the box he had lunch with Jules. I wasn't too happy about it but whatever he said to her must have worked. He didn't really go into detail with me even though I questioned him about it several times. He just kept telling me not to worry about her it was taken care of, which annoyed me.

I was stressed out with everything going on at work. We had two big weddings coming up on the same weekend and the girls were working overtime to get everything done. I was about to pull my hair out trying to oversee everything that was going on. I was sitting at my desk fixing a seating chart for the second time because the girls just couldn't seem to meet the bride's instructions on who should seat where, when Kade strolled into my office.

"Hey, babe." He smiled warmly at me. I looked up at him and grinned. Even in my most stressed moments, Kade was a welcomed distraction. He looked amazing in his gray dress slack and white button-down shirt. His sleeves were rolled up and the top button was undone.

"What are you doing here?"

"I came to rescue you. You've been working too much. We both have. I've decided we are going away for a few days." A grin forms on his face as he walks around my desk and stops in front of me.

"Oh, you decided huh? I don't get a say in the matter?" I smirked at him as he held out his hands for me to take them. I quickly placed my hands in his and he pulled me up from my chair immediately wrapping his arms around me pulling me to him.

"No, I don't think you'll argue once you hear what I have in mind."

"And what would that be Mr. Jacobs?" I smiled up at him taking in his features. I still don't know how I got so lucky with him. He looks incredibly sexy looking down at me with a five o'clock shadow on his face as his sky blue eyes shine with excitement.

"The jets fueled up and ready to leave. Darby is packing you a bag and James will pick it up."

"But where are we going?" I question.

"I'm not telling you I've decided to keep it a secret." He smirks.

"But you just said when I hear I won't argue! Now tell me where Kade!"

"Nope, I changed my mind. It will be more fun for you if it's a surprise." He kisses my forehead and lets go of me.

"But that's not fair you know I like having control."

"Yes, I do that's why it's more fun this way babe." He winks at me pulling out his phone, turning away from me so I can't see the screen.

"What are you doing?" I ask as I try to move around him and see what he is typing.

"Just making sure Darby doesn't tell you where we are going." He laughs. "You can finish what you were working on babe James won't be here for another twenty minutes."

"Like I can concentrate now Kade!" I whine. Kade takes a seat in front of my desk.

"Sure you can I won't bother you until it's time to go." I look down at the seating chart completely forgetting where I was before Kade showed up. There's no way I'm going to be able to finish this now. Where could he be taking me? A million possibilities run through my mind. There really is no telling with him though. I finally give up trying to figure it out. I look up at Kade who is staring intently at his phone. His white shirt is clingy tightly to his broad form. I love the way he has his sleeves rolled up showing off the strong muscles of his forearms it's a really big turn-on for me. He might work in an office but he is in incredible shape like someone who works out all the time. I know he has a gym in his penthouse but he only uses it a few times a week. The longer I stare at him the more turned on I become. I suddenly get up and go around my desk. Kade looks up at me raising an eyebrow. Before he can question me I take his phone placing it on my desk and slowly climb into his lap straddling him. A smile spreads across his face before I take his face in my hands and kiss him. He moans into my mouth deepening our kiss as his hands roam over my backside. A few minutes later we spring apart when Kade's phone begins ringing.

"Should you get that?"

"No, it's probably just James saying he is out front waiting for us." He replies running his hands down my sides.

"Oh well, we should go then." I move to get off of him but he holds me in place.

"We don't have to." He whispers as he stands up taking me with him and I automatically wrap my legs around his waist. He reaches around me moving stuff on my desk and then sits me on the edge of it. I grin at him giving him a knowing look. He runs his hands down my thighs under my skirt.

"Kade what if someone comes in?" I question as his hand glides against me and he moves my panties to the side.

"They won't." He whispers in my ear.

Forty-five minutes later the jet ascends into the air. Kade is sitting beside me typing on his phone again for the third time in the last ten minutes. I reach over and grab his phone. I glance at the screen seeing he is texting with someone before I turn it off.

"What's so important Kade?" I ask handing him back his now turned off phone.

"Nothing, just work. I promise no more work, the next few days are all about you." He takes my hand and kisses it, which makes me blush.

"So your really not going to tell me where we are going?" I question as I run my hand up to his leg. He laughs shaking his head.

"No why? What are you planning to do? Seduce me into telling you?"

I ran my hand up higher and his breath hitches. "Maybe." I grin at him.

He takes my hand in his holding it. "Although I would thoroughly enjoy it, babe. It's not going to work. I want to surprise you just let me ok?"

I undo my seat belt and climb over him grinning. "Are you sure baby?" I whisper as I undo the top button of his pants and I lightly kiss down his neck.

"Addison.." He breaths. As I suck on his neck gently. I slide my hand down into his pants and he takes a deep breath. "Addi..."

"Yes?" I whisper in his ear as my hand slides lower.

He stops my hand and grins at me. "I'm not telling you no matter what you do but your welcome to try."

I climb off of him, taking my seat. "Fine." I huff at him and he laughs.

"Why can't you just let me surprise you? You are so stubborn sometimes."

"I said fine I won't ask anymore. But for future reference, I'd like to know where we are going beforehand from now on and I pack my own stuff. There's no telling what Dar packed me. Hope I don't actually need clothes because she probably only packed bikinis and lingerie." I roll my eyes.

"Bikinis and lingerie huh? I'm perfectly happy with that. In fact, I think Darby should be in charge of your packing from now on." He grins.

"I'm sure you think so but I might actually need clothes if you plan on taking me out anywhere Kade."

"I plan on keeping you all to myself but if you need anything I'll buy it, don't worry. You should get some rest your going to need it." He winks at me.

"Ok, I'll try." I yawn and stretch. I lay my head on his shoulder and before too long I drift off to sleep.   Hours later I wake up and look around.  Kade is sleeping beside me and we are still in the air.  The jet is surrounded by the darkness outside.  I reach for my phone and see that it's after midnight.  We've already been in the air for five hours.  Where the hell are we going? Shouldn't we be there by now?  My stomach growls loudly and I remember that I didn't have dinner.  I didn't want to wake Kade but no one else is around and I don't remember seeing Allison on this flight.

"Kade?"  I whisper as I gently tug on his arm.

"Mmm."  He mumbles up doesn't open his eyes.

"Kade,"  I say a little louder shaking his arm.

"What is it?  Are you ok?"  He asks as he opens his eyes.

"I didn't have dinner and I'm hungry.  When are we getting there?  We've been on this damn plane forever already?"

"Going to be a few more hours.  Allison will get you something to eat."  He reached up pressing the button to call her.

"I didn't know she was here I haven't seen her."

"That's because I told her not to disturb us unless she was called.  Never know what she might walk in on."  He smirked and I playfully smacked his arm.

After a platter of pancakes and eggs.  We both eventually went back to sleep.  When I woke up again it was daylight and the plane wasn't moving.

"Babe come on we are here."  Kade unbuckled my seat belt and helped me up.

"Where is here exactly?"  I yawned as I stood.

"You'll see soon enough.  Come on the car is waiting."  Kade lead me off the jet to a private car.  The car had weird tags on it and was in a language I didn't recognize.  Kade smiled at the driver.

"Bonjour Mr. Jacobs."  The man spoke in a thick accent.

Did he just say Bonjour?  Wait are we in France?!  I looked around realizing pretty quickly we weren't in the US.

"Kade!  Are we in France?  Did you seriously bring me to the other side of the world without me knowing it?"  I smiled brightly at him.

"Yes, I did."  He grins at me.

"Bienvenue à Paris Madam."  The driver smiled at me.

"What does that mean?"

"It means welcome to Paris." He whispered to me as he kissed my cheek.

"Paris?! Oh my god really?!  Kade you are so amazing I love you."  I threw myself into his arms and he smiled down at me laughing.

"I love you too Addi.  I'm glad you like your surprise."

"Like it? I love it!  Best surprise ever I take back all of my previous statements it was worth the wait.  Thank you so much for planning this for me."  I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him.

"You are welcome.  But I'm just getting started with surprises."

We got inside the car and the driver took off down a side street.  I was in awe of how beautiful everything was.  I've always dreamed of visiting Paris and now I couldn't believe I was actually here.  I stare out the window in a trance as we pass by all of the places I want to visit.  Soon the Eiffel Tower comes into view and I can't take my eyes off it.  I've been fascinated by the structure since I was a little girl.  It is so massive in size.  I never realized how big it actually is.  Soon the car comes to a stop and Kade takes my hand.  The driver opens my door and I climb out staring at a huge castle-like hotel in front of me.   It's a massive 18th-century looking castle.  Kade leads me toward the entrance.  I'm speechless as I stare trying to take in every detail.  The inside looks like it's out of an 18th-century book also but it has some modern twists.  The lobby is a round-shaped room with white marble floors and high arcs, there is a grand staircase that wraps around the room.  Which I assume is more for looks because there are elevators underneath it.  I'm too engrossed in the room to pay attention to Kade's conversation with the front desk all I hear is the end of it.

"Profitez de votre séjour Mr. Jacobs."  The lady at the front desk says to Kade as he turns to me.

"Ready babe?"  He holds out his hand and I take it.

"What did she say?"

"Enjoy your stay.  Come on I had breakfast delivered to our room."

"I didn't know you spoke French."  Kade leads us to the elevators.

"I understand enough to get me by.  Maybe I can teach you a few phases."  The elevator door opened and we climbed in.

"Like what kind of phases?" I question.

"Je veux que vous nu dans mon lit."  He whispered in my ear and sent my pulse through the roof.  His husky voice speaking French is the sexiest thing I've ever heard.

I grin at him.  "What did you say?"

"I want you naked in my bed."  He smirks at me.

"Kade!" I roll my eyes at him.

"What?  It's the truth."  He laughs.  "Je vous aime belles."

"And that means what?  Or do I even want to know?"  I laugh.

"It means I love you beautiful."  He whispers as he kisses my cheek.
