Chapter 294 – Friends Are For Betraying

“Isn’t justice always victorious in this world?”

The class leader looked at herself who was ‘broken’ in the game. She read out the lines of her character written by Eunuch Cao in a monotonous tone. For every character she said, it felt like a bullet shooting into the hearts of Eunuch Cao and his accomplices.

The class leader had her arms crossed in front of her chest and was staring at the small-eyed male student like a hawk. He was too afraid to move, cold sweat came pouring out like a flood which drenched his white shirt.

“Where did you get my portrait? Who wrote these lines, do they think they understand me?”

The computer teacher was a notorious ‘free-spirit’, we had no idea where he was after handing out the self-study assignment for our class. Without the teacher, the class leader was the undisputed king of class 2-3.

“Only a little girl who knows nothing about how the world works will say justice is always victorious.” The class leader raised the corners of her mouth and smirked, “Justice is not something you say casually, it requires strength, determination, wisdom, and sacrifice to achieve. Those who understand the true meaning of justice will never easily give up and lower their heads in the face of evil.”

The class leader looked around the room as if she wanted to educate all those who had childish minds. All the boys who were affiliated with this event were all pressured by the Justice Devil’s enormous aura. Their bodies turned stiff, they couldn’t breathe properly, and they kept licking their dry lips.

The class leader’s sights finally landed on me and her penetrating gaze caused 999 damage to my soul. She seemed to have been waiting for me to confess.

It has nothing to do with me, I’m innocent. I was tricked by Eunuch Cao to edit those pictures to improve my skills, but I had no idea what they used them for.

Please don’t glare at me simply because I was the patron who broke you in the game. I’m not that demonic, I’m actually very gentle. I might even cook noodles for you next time. My noodle is delicious and you’ll love eating my noodle.

The small-eyed classmate (can’t remember his name, so I’ll call him squinty eyes for the time being) felt tremendous psychological pressure. He quickly closed the game with “Alt+F4”, turned around while shivering and stammered:

“Class leader, I…”

“I what…?” the class leader looked down on him like she was staring at a pile of old junk.

Squinty eyes looked at the boys in the class. His accomplices all turned their heads to cut off their relationship. All the boys who weren’t involved stood on the class leader’s side. Niu ShiLi cracked his knuckles loudly.

I glanced at the girls and most of them knew what was going on thanks to Loud Mouth and Little Smart. Over half the girls stood up angrily as if to declare class 2-3 is now under girls’ rule and they will conduct a public trial against the guilty males.

Only Xiong YaoYue was simple-mindedly playing ‘Puzzle Bobble‘ while Xiao Qin was still drawing her squares and circles.

Squinty eyes then looked at Eunuch Cao. Eunuch Cao quietly got up from beside me and planned to secretly sneak away.

“What else do you have to say.” The class leader said coldly towards squinty eyes, “If you don’t tell me the mastermind, then I’ll hand you off to Niu ShiLi or Geng YuHong… justice is not always benevolent.”

You guys might have forgotten that Geng YuHong is Loud Mouth’s real name. She had a strong body and was adept at pinching people, that’s why she had a nickname called ‘lobster alien’.

Niu ShiLi was even more of a visitor from Krypton. He had extraordinary strength with bulging muscles. He walked slowly behind the class leader and seemed excited to be able to extort a confession with torture.

Squinty eyes’ legs went limp, he kneeled in front of the class leader and wailed:

“Class leader, I was wrong. It was Eunuch Cao who forced me to play this game.”

Wow, he’s amazing at selling out his comrades. It’s not like you’re a video game tester, who would force you to play the game? Also, you’ve been with Eunuch Cao for so long, but you only learned how to kneel whenever you meet problems?

The class leader caught Eunuch Cao by his collar and dragged him back before he was able to even reach the door.

“Spare me, please spare me.” Eunuch Cao squealed like a pig who was about to be butchered.

As the truth was revealed, Eunuch Cao could only kneel alongside squinty eyes.

“Class leader, I’m innocent. It was a bunch of bad people who forced me to make this game. If you give me a bit of time to remember, I’ll write out a list of names for you tonight.”

Why does it sound like he’s sending a message to his accomplices, something along the lines of ‘I’ll give you all up if you don’t save me’.

Eunuch Cao even had the guts to try and peek under the class leader’s skirt while he kneeled in front of her. The class leader took a step back in anticipation and foiled his plans.

“The boys cannot leave when class ends.” The class leader ordered, “All of you have to hand in a list of names. Write the names of the ones you know are Cao JingShen’s accomplices. If you’re included then write yourself, if you’re not included then write others. If you’re completely innocent then you can hand in a blank sheet.”

“… But if someone else exposed you and we proved you weren’t innocent, then I will report to teacher Yu, the headteacher, and tell the school to tell your parents.”

After she finished speaking, the class leader Niu ShiLi and Loud Mouth to act as the proctors who made sure everyone handed in a sheet when the bell rang.

A bunch of people began to whisper:

“Don’t betray me, we’re all on the same boat.”

“The same goes for you. Can you guarantee you never wrote my name, show me your list.”

“I’m not showing you, it’s private.”

“Damn, so you did write my name. Just you wait…”

As the class leader said, a lot of times evil fails because evil is stupid and not working as a collective. It’s not really because ‘justice’ had powers, but it was the side with more wisdom who takes the victory.

The five criminals who worked with Eunuch Cao were uncovered. After they guaranteed they would destroy the packages, they had to write a confession and stamp it with their fingerprints. Their punishment was to be the hall monitors until the final exams. Also, when it was class 2-3’s time to clean the bathrooms, that duty would fall to them.

In addition, everyone one of them had to apologize to each girl they put in the game. If they weren’t satisfied with their apology, the confession letters with their fingerprints will be sent to the headteacher or their parents.

Rumors say Loud Mouth punished them herself, especially Eunuch Cao who gave her the ‘dinosaur’ label. She gave him a good beating, good thing she didn’t break any ribs.

“You’re the dinosaur, your whole family is composed of dinosaurs! Don’t you know my body type is considered to be plentiful! You better go and buy me some lychee or I’ll beat you to death.”

Xiong YaoYue was finally able to understand what had happened with Little Smart’s thorough explanation. She then choked their necks and yelled:

“Why does the class leader have the big breasts label, but I don’t? Are you discriminating against me? If you don’t treat me to ice cream, then I’ll end the chances of any of you having descendants!”

So that’s what bothered her? It’s not like big breasts is a good word. In a lot of legit websites, you have to put an apostrophe in the middle of big breasts so it would show up. (TN: Apostrophe is used to prevent censorship of certain words)

Little Smart wasn’t really dissatisfied with her ‘sick and frail’ label.

“Your rotten corpses will suffer from the burning pains of hell….”

She drifted away with a cough after she spoke and only left behind a bone-chilling atmosphere.

Gong CaiCai was easy to talk to. As the game’s lead girl who received numerous customers and an endless amount of money, she easily forgave them.

She only said quietly: “Please don’t do this anymore…”

As the only girl who wasn’t edited into the game, Xiao Qin became the center of everyone’s discussions, until Eunuch Cao yelled: “She’s my master’s wife, I still need to depend on her later!”

“So it’s because of Ye Lin.” The girls came to a realization.

“Eunuch Cao and Ye Lin are two peas in a pod. We can’t even be sure Ye Lin didn’t participate this time, or the others are too afraid to write his name…”

“That’s right. I saw Ye Lin editing the class leader’s picture in computer class before, it was the one used in this disgusting game….”

It seems the class leader’s impression of me dropped again.

The class leader still didn’t ride her bike home today, it was probably because her butt was still swollen.

It’s probably normal to be resented.

I became absent-minded when thinking about the class leader again. I was called on to answer a question by old man Zhang in language class. Fortunately Xiao Qin helped me out so I didn’t embarrass myself.

I quietly asked Xiao Qin for her opinion on the pictures.

Xiao Qin tilted her head with a smile: “Eunuch Cao may look like a fat pig, but he’s not dumb.”

“Why?” I asked.

“I don’t mind even if Ye Lin classmate visits me 1 million times as a customer, but if I was forced to receive other people….”

Xiao Qin’s eyes were covered by her bangs and the corners of her mouth rose up into a sneer, but it quickly vanished.

“(*^__^*) Hehe… since he never added me into the game, I’ll let Eunuch Cao keep living.”
