Chapter 344 – Extremely Suspicious

According to Auntie Ren, even though Xu JinSheng had an eighth degree black belt, he was still extremely courteous towards her. He kept saying it was his failure as a parent and eventually Auntie Ren wasn’t angry anymore and accepted his apology.

Since Xu JinSheng called him Tian Ming, I assumed young master Xu’s full name was Xu TianMing. He walked closer but was unwilling to shake my hand.

“Okay.” I could even imagine my dad lowering his head, “We’re old neighbors, so you don’t need to return it.”

“I already said I won’t tell him…”

“I’ll take care of him. You can rest in peace.”

I quickly backed away as I heard them walk out.

I don’t even remember how we parted ways with Xu JinSheng. My dad decided to head home tonight with me instead of returning to the hotel.

Once we got home, my dad went to the fridge to get some beer. I blocked his way and put on an interrogative pose and asked:

“Dad, are you hiding something from me?”

“Eh, Xiao Lin, where did you hear that from?” My dad shifted his glasses with unnatural movements.

“Auntie Ren, she…”

“Xiao Lin, don’t misunderstand, nothing happened between us.”

My dad denied it as he timidly touched his neck.

What, are you afraid of being turned into a headless corpse?

“What did I misunderstand? I didn’t say anything yet, but you clearly have a guilty conscience…”

My dad turned serious and asked: “Xiao Lin, what do you think about Auntie Ren?”

“She’s okay.” I replied, “She might be easily irritable and fussy, but she has a soft heart…”

My dad immediately made a vulgar smile: “She is pretty soft-hearted…”

What the hell happened, did you peek at her in the shower or something?

“No, the people above us… started making love…”

I was seething with anger and grabbed my dad’s collar, “Don’t scare me like that. Hurry up and get to the main point.”

“Ah, I’m thirsty. Can I have a can of beer first?”

My dad gulped down half the bottle and wiped his mouth with regret, then said:

“The hotel wasn’t soundproofed well, and the people above us were really loud when making love. Both Auntie Ren and I couldn’t sleep, so we got up…”
