Chapter 427 – Let’s Go Together

There are a lot of extra rusted steel cabinets on the third floor. I heard it was moved out of the building that the clothing factory in order to make some more space. The only reason the class leader could find Xiong YaoYue among that many cabinets is because I led the way.

I unlocked the door to the cabinet and showed the class leader Xiong YaoYue who was standing as straight as a pencil inside. A layer of frost instantly covered the class leader’s face.

“Xiong YaoYue, did you think I wouldn’t scold you just because you hid here?”

Xiong YaoYue stood straight and unmoving like a Buckingham Palace soldier inside the narrow steel cabinet. Tiny beads of sweat had formed on her forehead since it was hot and stuffy inside. Also, it was evident the class leader was angry when she called out Xiong YaoYue’s full name.

“Class leader, I was wrong… I’m currently punishing myself.”

At the same time, she made a disgruntled face at me. It looks like she considered it a betrayal when I brought the class leader to her.

“What’s the point closing yourself inside? It’s not like you have claustrophobia.”

Xiong YaoYue remained standing still and asked with concern: “Did I really… not cure Gong CaiCai’s claustrophobia?”

“Cure your granny’s bear!” (TN: What.) The class leader said a seldom vulgar line as she almost exploded in anger, “She didn’t have and issues before, but now she does have issues because you tried to cure her.”

Xiong YaoYue mumbled: “My grandmother never raised a bear.”

After thinking for a bit, she exclaimed: “Class leader… when you said my granny’s bear, are you talking about me? But my grandmother calls me Yue Yue, not Xiong Xiong.” (TN: Xiong = Bear)

The class leader didn’t laugh even a bit at Xiong YaoYue’s cold joke. She crossed her arms over her chest and said coldly:

“Come out and go to the infirmary to apologize to Gong CaiCai. It’s not a small issue this time, it could almost be considered an offence of assault causing bodily harm.”

The class leader who was standing in front of Xiong YaoYue made me think of a strange scene. It was the scene of a female police officer about to arrest a pharaoh in a sarcophagus.

“I’m sorry.” Xiong YaoYue lowered her head, “It’s all because of my poor memory, it would have been better if I didn’t take the call. I… I will take responsibility.”

I closed the door with a bang and locked Xiong YaoYue inside the cabinet.

I quickly went down the stairs and stopped listening to her words.

I played an hour of basketball outside. Right as I went to take a break, I received a text from Xiong YaoYue:

“Help me bring up a bottle of vitamin water. Remember, it has to be vitamin water.”

She must be thirsty and starving after standing inside for an hour. She was also too embarrassed to ask for food, so she only asked for a drink… I might as well be a good person and also bring some lunch.

I bought a red bean bun and ham sausage bun at the school store and the vitamin water and carried it up to the third floor.

I opened the cabinet door and found Xiong YaoYue wasn’t standing as straight as before. She had her thighs clenched and she was trembling a bit.

“You must be starving. Even if you don’t want to leave the cabinet, you should at least eat something.”

Xiong YaoYue wasn’t as happy as I expected when she saw the food. She looked at me with resent as if I purposely came here to torment her.

“I said I had to punish myself, so I’m not going to eat or drink anything.”

“Huh, then why did you ask me to bring you the drink?”

“Ye Lin…. you finish the drink, then give me the empty bottle.”
