Shiko looks at Aiko, confused, she slowly nods. Aiko gets closer and stands in front of Shiko while looking at the side instead of in her eyes. She crosses her arms.
Aiko: H-Hmph! As you may or may not have noticed; I bullied you before!~ she says with pride yet unsure of herself, Shiko looks at her, confused.
Shiko: Hm? You mean with cutting my hair? Aiko looks at her, annoyed
Aiko: N-No! Well... yea after. Gah! I put that gum in your hair on purpose! I was helping Nagisa, Erika and Lucy with their master plan!~ S-So you seemed less... girly..? She says again, unsure of herself. Shiko rubs the back of her neck, not knowing what to say for a bit
Shiko: U-Umm... okay... I mean I liked the way you styled my hair instead of ruining it purposely... You seem very talented at cutting hair and so on... I mean I wish you hadn't joined the bullies... but still... she averts her eyes, smiling very slightly, a lil uncomfortable. Aiko looks surprised
Aiko: E-Eh?! What's with that response!? I bullied you! Shouldn't you be mad..? She hits her own head
Gah! I should have ruined your hair! I just didn't want to lose my chance of practicing cutting hair seriously on a real person... she face palms and sighs
Damn it! I'm so in my head! I'll never be popular... she complains to herself, then re-realizes she's in front of someone else and shuts up, Shiko smiles a little and glances at the swing next to her
Shiko: H-Hey... why don't you sit down..? She says kinda hesitantly, Aiko puffs her face, annoyed
Aiko: W-Why!? I'm the bad one here! Know you place! Y-You can't tell me what to do! Hmph! She says, glancing side to side, unsure. Shiko sighs and smiles a little
Shiko: Because... you look like you have a lot bottled up... I'm kinda used to being bullied anyway so I'd rather listen to a freshman of mine rant to me a little... so, go ahead.. she says hesitently and kinda silently
Aiko thinks a bit but then gives up, grunts and sits down at the swing next to Shiko, she doesn't say anything until Shiko breaks the silence after a minute or two
Shiko: S-So..... why did you even want to bully me exactly..? She giggles a little uncomfortably, Aiko thinks about not answering but gives in after a while
Aiko: Because the girls said they'd take me in... join the popular girls... she says silently and clenches her fists. She kicks the ground.
But they just used me. After I cut your hair, I asked them a few times when I'd be included... they just looked down on me... she grunts and grinds her teeth
Ugh how could they not...! I shouldn't have been so blind.. She says silently, Shiko looks confused
Shiko: What...do you mean..? Aiko doesn't answer for a while, Shiko gulps, not knowing what to do, she takes a deep breath
L-look... Being popular doesn't mean anything... those girls are bad people.. they're not nice.. you're better of without being popular... you don't have to be a bully... she averts her eyes, Aiko raises her voice
Aiko: O-Of course I do! The faster I become a bully the better! Or other people will bully me like how they do to you! I already get made fun of enough because of how I look! She looks at Shiko, kinda angry. Shiko gulps
Shiko: O-oh... well.. she takes a deep breath and thinks a moment
Being a bully is no better. Also there is nothing wrong with how you look... in fact, you are really pretty... she smiles slightly,
Aiko madly kicks the ground a couple more times, annoyed. She raises her voice again.
Aiko: Grrr! Don't lie to me! She hits her head a couple of times
I'm not that stupid to believe that! I'm basic and ugly! Brown hair, brown eyes, thick legs and generally... I'm just fat! She gets up from the swing and kicks the fence surrounding the park a couple of times, Shiko puts her bag to the side and gets up
Shiko: Y-You shouldn't be so hard on yourself! She says kinda louder, Aiko looks at her confused
I-I think you are wrong...Your eyes are nice because they look full of the emotions that you are bottling up. Your hair is brown but it's in different shades of brown like an aged and beautiful tree trunk.. Your body also has no flaws, there is nothing wrong with any body shapes! You have two arms, two legs, a working head and system. If you don't feel comfortable in your body, it's okay to change but you should do it for yourself at a healthy state of mind... I-I think your body suits you..! Many people can be born less fortunate with bodies incapable of some changes.. She says in one breath and stops for a second, surprised at herself
Aiko is also really surprised, she doesn't know what to say as she looks at Shiko, she hesitently sits back down at the swing, Shiko also sits back on the swing next to her
Shiko: "W-Wow... Kuro-Kun's poeticness might be rubbing of on me..." she smiles a little and glances at Aiko who is looking at the ground
Aiko: Why.... Why are you being so nice to me...? I will remind you that I also bullied you... and you are here trying to make me feel better. I'm none of your business. She says without looking at Shiko, Shiko hesitently puts her hand on Aiko's shoulder.
Shiko: I-I was just being honest... I don't know if you'll want to hear this but I guess I forgive you for bullying me? I'm very happy with my hair thanks to you... you really are talented and shouldn't be too hard on yourself.. she sighs a little and pets Aiko's shoulder
And yea it might not be my business... but you are sad and I can't just leave you like that... she giggles lightly, Aiko slowly looks at her
Aiko: ...Why...? She says hesitently, Shiko thinks a little and takes a deep breath before ruffling Aiko's hair a little
Shiko: Because... I'm not a bully.. she says in a calm and collected voice
And I think you shouldn't be either... she giggles
Bullies are so cruel and I truly get that... But you are really strong.. Just look, you've been through so much and even when talking about deep and sad stuff like that, you didn't cry... Aiko glances away and sighs, Shiko takes her hand away slowly, Aiko looks at her
Aiko: So... What am I supposed to do..? Just stay put as if this is a regular school? Shiko slowly nods
Shiko: Unfortunately Yes... This is a normal school... just under really bad circumstances. I may be a huge bully toy in this school, but now i can say that I'm mature enough to talk... she smiles warmly
With Empathy... she giggles a little
So let's take this from the top okay? Even if you probably know my name after that horrid show and tell... She giggles uncomfortably, Aiko looks confused
Aiko: ...Hm..? Shiko takes out her hand for a handshake, Aiko holds it, not knowing what else to do
Shiko: I'm Shiko Kagome from Class 11-C. It's nice to meet a pretty freshmen like you formally~ she giggles and shakes Aiko's hand, not sure where this outgoing feeling is coming from. Aiko hesitently nods and shakes Shiko's hand back
Aiko: I....I'm Aiko Midori.. from class 9-B... I started school a year late... she averts her eyes, they let go of their hands
Sorry... I'm not one who is used to "making friends"... You probably wouldn't understand... Even if you get bullied, I'm sure you must have friends.. she says hesitantly, Shiko slowly shakes her head no
Shiko: Actually the only friend I've ever had Properly is Kuro-Kun... the guy in the show and tell. She averts her eyes
Aiko: W-What? But you are so pretty! And he is popular... she says kinda hesitant and silently, Shiko first looks surprised and then giggles
Shiko: W-Well Thank you I guess..? I've haven't heard that since like 4 years ago.. she giggles a little
And i am serious... I was never one to talk, socialize or make friends... in fact I still am not... You seemed nice so here we are but even I'm surprised at how outgoing I seem to be talking now.. she rubs to back of her neck
I'm actually a very shy and easily scared person. You definitely seem braver than me... I'm just observant.. she giggles slightly again
Plus Kuro-Kun was the one who befriended me... she averts her eyes, Aiko looks interested, she finally smiles a little
Aiko: Do you like him? Like, like like him? She giggles a little and smirks slightly
Shiko looks at Aiko at first confused but understands what she means after a few seconds, her face quickly gets red as she shakes her head and hands noooooo
Shiko: I-I could never... H-He's my only friend! A-And... he has a really strong opinion on women... she averts her eyes a little, Aiko smirks a little again
Aiko: You mean he's gay? She giggles, Shiko gets a little more red and shakes herself no again
Shiko: N-No he isn't! She says, confused at the way the conversation is going
Aiko: So he's homophobic? She smirks, Shiko face palms and shakes herself no again, in panic
Shiko: N-No! He respects everyone... W-Why are we even talking about this? She says in stutter, Aiko giggles
Aiko: What iiiif... he's bi? She smirks a little again, Shiko stops for a second and ruffles her hair from both sides, embarrassed again
Shiko: I-I don't know! He's human okay?-! C-Can we not talk about this...? She covers her face as Aiko giggles
Aiko: Hehe. Okay, we have a deal. I'm not gonna be a bully. But... it's nice playing around with friends like this... she warmly smiles a little, Shiko takes a deep breath, opens her face and looks at Aiko
Shiko: S-So... we are friends...right? Aiko looks confused, she nods
Aiko: Well sure. We bonded a little so why not? She shucks her shoulders, Shiko smiles a little and nods with excitement
Shiko: S-Sorry... I'm still not used to this friendship thing... she giggles
You should smile more. It looks great on you... she ruffles Aiko's hair a little again, kinda hesitent. Aiko blushes slightly.
Aiko: A-And even if you're shy, you are really mature and understanding Shiko-Senpai... she giggles a little, Shiko takes her hand away and looks in front of her as she slowly starts swinging a little
Shiko: This is a beautiful place to just come and think or...talk... don't you think so too...? She looks a little down, Aiko lifts up her head and looks around.
The trees around are blowing beautiful leafs, the wind is light, the shadow of the school gives a nice coolness to where the park they are in is. This side of the school is cleaner even if it's the backyard playground. Since it's away from the front of the school; it's very silent and peaceful. Aiko takes a deep breather.
Aiko: Wow... you're right... I'm always inside or looking at the ground hot-headedly... So I never realized before... she sighs and looks at Shiko
I... guess I am sorry for being mean to you... she sighs again
Or at least trying to be mean... Shiko giggles again slightly and looks at Aiko
Shiko: Let's... get to know eachother a little more.... Aiko smiles a little and nods, they start chatting
They chat for what feels like an hour, as if reunited old friends. After all, they both understand each other's troubles better than anyone. They've been through similar stuff in their school lives and as for private Life; Aiko is an only child but she is also belittled by her parents. Unlike Shiko, Aiko's family was not so lucky to be on the wealthy side. In fact they were pretty short on money. Therefor her parents also gave little to no money to her just like Shiko. They don't dive too deep into conversation but learn about simple details like birthdays, hobbies and fave colors up to some more private things like their past of being bullied and all the scams that was pulled on them. After an actual hour and a half passes, they giggle and take a breather.
Aiko: Well, I'm glad I got to know you better Shiko-Chan... I don't know how to make it up to you that I worked with the bullies against you... I never knew they were that terrible or all the things they've previously done.... she hesitantly giggles, feeling bad again. Shiko slowly nods and smiles warmly
Shiko: It's really okay... I'm glad we cleared this up.. Aiko suddenly realizes something and her expression changes to kinda confused
Aiko: H-Hey... I realized something.. You have a really nice voice... but you kinda glanced over "singing" when you were talking about your passions or hobbies.... Why is that..? Shiko's eyes open a little, surprised
Shiko: H-How would you know?... I purposely didn't say anything about that... and I'm really not that good... she averts her eyes a little, emberrased slightly, Aiko rubs the back of her neck
Aiko: Well... I heard you singing in the music hall next to Kurosaki-Kun... You were great... why do you hide it...? Shiko looks down
Shiko: Well... to be honest, simple stage fright... I just sang then because I wanted Kuro-Kun to trust me.. she opens her eyes and lifts her head from the ground suddenly. She immediately gets up. Aiko looks startled
Aiko: W-What's wrong? She says surprised, Shiko looks at her
Shiko: I-I forgot about Kuro-Kun! He was tired and fell asleep in my room but I left him there for a while now! She holds her head, Aiko shucks her shoulders and smirks slightly
Aiko: Um, so? It's not like he's a kid? What would happen if he happens to be awake? Shiko stops for a second and gets completely red
Shiko: W-Well... she sighs
Absolutely nothing... I guess I just don't want him to feel abandoned...
"Even if I left him that note just in case.."
Aiko slowly gets up and giggles a little
Aiko: Well if it makes you feel better, why don't we head over to your room? I think you changed rooms or something so if you didn't want me to come, I'd understand but...- Shiko shakes her head to both sides in disagreement and smiles a little looking at Aiko
Shiko: I... trust you... Aiko lets out a breath of relief as they both head towards Shiko's dorm door. They enter the floor, Haru is coming down from the upper stairs; he looks at them
Haru: O-oh, Shiko-Chan!~ he jumps in front of them with a big smile, Aiko's eyes widen, she looks away immediately
You know where Kuro is? I can't find him anywhere but I want other players for my video game!!~ he sulks and looks at Aiko, Shiko giggles a little to Haru's attitude
Shiko: U-Umm before thaat... she turns Aiko towards Haru a little
T-This is my new friend...- she says, proud of herself but gets cut off by Haru before saying her name
Haru: O-Oh!~ Aiko-Chan~~ Hello again!~ he smiles like a goof and giggles, Aiko looks at him annoyed, Shiko looks a little confused
Aiko: H-Hmph! Didn't expect a careless flirt like you to remember the name of someone like me. Have nothing better to do?. She says with sas and averts her eyes while puffing her face a little, Shiko looks at both of them trying to grasp the situation
Haru: Nope!~ And i know the names of all the pretty girls in school~ I may be a flirt like you said but I've never had a girlfriend in this school and my time is running out as a Senior... he says, puffing his cheeks and doing puppy eyes, Aiko looks back at him annoyed, with slight disgust
Aiko: I really hope it stays that way! I feel bad for any girl who would be with you. Hmph! She averts her eyes again sassily, Haru sigh
Haru: Ouch. What's your problem with me anyway..? You can't be jealous of my charms right? Or... maybe you have a crush on me?~ he giggles, Shiko shakes herself, confused as Aiko growls to herself
Shiko: U-Um... I'm sorry but can someone explain the situation to me..? She says hesitantly, Haru looks at her with a smile
Haru: Nothing to explain really. Your little friend over there probably just doesn't like my happy go lucky personality... he giggles, Aiko doesn't say anything and acts as if she doesn't hear him, Haru looks at Shiko
So, do you know where Kuro is?
Shiko: A-Ah right... she points at her door and smiles slightly
He was really tired and fell asleep in my room... he barely slept at all last night and well... today was just a wack you know.. she says, a little tired herself from all the stress, she rubs the back of her neck. Aiko looks at the door Shiko pointed, confused and surprised
Aiko: W-What..? You never changed your room? B-But the door..? Haru looks at the door and giggles
Haru: That's his doing. He looks at Aiko and smiles all knowingly
Kuro's. He has his ways and his acquaintances.. he giggles, Aiko puffs her face and averts her eyes, not wanting to interact with Haru, Shiko silently nods with a small smile on her face as she opens her door.
They all step inside, trying to be moderately silent. They look at Kuro sleeping on Shiko's bed; facing the wrong way, the blanket Shiko put on him previously curled up in a ball on the corner of the bed, his shirt half curled up therefore showing his stomach, his legs both hanging off of the beds sides and somehow still sleeping.
Haru tries to hold his laugh back, covering his mouth with both his hands, Aiko just stares at Kuro confused and surprised, Shiko giggles
Aiko: E-eh..? Is this normal..? She whispers hesitently, Haru coughs kinda silently and giggles
Haru: N-Nope... when he sleeps in his bed, he's so tidy that he doesn't even mess it up... as if he never moves in his sleep. But this is just- he stops before starting to giggle again
Aiko: Eh.... he really must have been worn out... she gulps
I never would have imagined I'd see something like this... Shiko giggles and looks at her confused
Shiko: What do you mean? She says as they all try speaking in a lower volume not to wake him up
Aiko: Well... that show and tell is one thing even if I knew it was fake, but usually he seems to always be strong, cold, hesitant and just goes against authority.. She looks at him up and down
And he just seems to be a serious bad boy.. she rolls her eyes
That many students actually like in secret.... Haru puffs his face
Haru: His authority is himself. That's why, but dammmn I'm jealous!~ He never accepts any love Confessions no matter the condition or person! That bastard.. Aiko sends an annoyed death stare at Haru for a sec, Shiko looks back at Kuro and smiles a little
Shiko: Well... Aiko-Chan, me and Haru both know that Kuro too has his fair share of issues... she glances at Aiko and Haru and giggles slightly
And secrets~ she says thinking about Kuro's piano playing, his family and so on, Haru looks back at Kuro with envy, not knowing many things
Haru: I just wish he didn't keep his abs workout a secret.. he mumbles to himself, he and Aiko both slowly look at Kuro's stomach, his kinda visible abs are showing slightly, not obvious or extra but they are visible, Shiko looks over, making her face slowly turn completely red
Shiko: W-We should probably either leave or wake him up... she says, about to head towards the door before getting stopped by Haru, he sighs
Haru: Leave this to me, I have an idea that I've been wanting to do for a while but never got to because he never fell deep sleep. He smirks a little and heads towards the end of the bed. The bed is exactly next to the window but the curtains are open. He closes the curtains half way, keeping that smirk on his face.
Aiko: How is that supposed to help... wouldn't it have the opposite effect? She says with a sigh as Haru shakes his finger no, keeping his smirk. Shiko also looks confused.
Haru gets on both his knees and starts whispering. He speaks in an overly confident yet annoying voice, making him sound just like his brother
Haru: Kurosaki-Kun. They are here. He waits a few second as Kuro's face starts looking a little uncomfortable. Aiko and Shiko starts looking even more confused, they look at eachother and shuck their shoulders. Haru continues with a smirk, still mimicking his brother.
The Black Yamiza are here. He says in a slightly more serious tone and slowly holds Kuro's neck with both his hands for a bit.
Aiko: Look, This isn't working. She looks at Shiko and sighs
Hey, Shiko-Chan; Can I leave..? I don't want to be near this guy anymore.. she rolls her eyes, glancing at Haru with annoyance
Just before Shiko says anything, Haru holds Kuro's neck only a tiny bit tighter and all of a suddden Kuro's eyes open up completely as he immediately turns himself towards Haru, jumping on him, pinning him to the ground and holding his neck tightly which all happens in like three second, Aiko and Shiko both open their eyes, looking at them, surprised at how fast everything went down, Kuro's eyes look murderous as Haru smirks And holds both of Kuro's hands with his own.
Shiko: K-Kuro-Kun..? She stutters hesitently which makes Kuro snap out of his half-asleep-ish self
He shakes himself a little and slowly takes his hands away, his eyes calmed down. He gets Off of Haru, stands up, holds Haru's hand and gets him up. Aiko is still in awe and at a loss of words. Kuro looks at Haru up and down.
Kuro: Haru..? Sorry.. he thinks for a bit and his confused face slowly turns kinda mad as he lets go of Haru's hand.
W-Wait a minute! You did that on purpose you bastard! He holds Haru's coller, annoyed, Shiko
hesitently Puts her hand on Kuro's arm without looking, Kuro looks at her
Shiko: H-He just wanted to find you to play video games... L-Look, I also made a new friend.. M-Maybe we should go and all play together..? She hesitently looks up in his eyes
Kuro looks kinda surprised, he smiles a little and lets go of Haru with a sigh, Haru giggles and puts his arm on Kuro's Shoulder with a big smile, Shiko lets out a sigh of relief, Aiko shakes herself a little before finally collecting herself enough to speak
Aiko: Y-You three are really something... Odd... but you guys work together somehow.. she holds her own head, confused, all three look at her with light smiles
I-I mean... Shiko-Chan, why aren't you at all startled by that "reflex" Kurosaki-Kun just pulled... Shiko thinks for a while and takes a few steps towards Aiko, stepping away from the guys. As she thinks; Haru takes his arm off of Kuro's shoulder while Kuro sends him a mad stare
Shiko: W-Well... I've seen similar before I suppose but...- she gets cut off by Aiko
Aiko: His eyes were like the Vice President Yami-San... She blurts out without hesitation, Shiko's eyes open wide a little as Haru smirks. There is a short awkward silence before Haru breaks that with a cough. Kuro looks down slowly
Haru: Ehem! So...Aiko-Chan~ he walks towards Aiko with a biiig smile
Come with me!~ I'll take you to mine and Kuro's room!~ Shiko's coming too! We'll play games and have fun!~ he giggles, holds Aiko's arm and drags her out as she mumbles in confusion. not really going against it much tho because Shiko will come too in the end. So she basically just puts up with Haru.
There is an awkward silence in the room as both Kuro and Shiko look at the door, behind where Haru and Aiko left. They both sigh as Kuro turns around to fix up the bed a little.
Kuro: Sorry I fell asleep. It's interesting how you got a friend in like two hours when it took me a few just to get you to talk.. he giggles and puts the book he previously got back on the shelf, Shiko looks at him
Shiko: I..... I'm surprised too... I didn't even think about it much but it just happened. Apparently we had similar experiences with... life. She says in thought, Kuro quickly continues the conversation
Kuro: Heh, I guess I did open you enough to talk to other people. That's great at least. Seems like you are building up your confidence.. he just seems to be rambling really so Shiko gets a little closer
Shiko: H-Hey... you seem on edge.. Kuro looks at Shiko and quickly answers without a second of wait
Kuro: Because of Haru. He says with no hesitation. Shiko smiles very slightly
Shiko: Well.. you guys are close so he was just messing around you know... this is going to be forgotten in like an hour probably anyway.. she giggles as Kuro jumps straight back into conversation
Kuro: So that girl, Aiko-Chan. Didn't she technically help your bully trio? Shiko sighs and nods slowly
Shiko: Yea but she had her reasons and nothing bad came from her so i forgave. She looks down a little
But don't worry, I know she's not still fooling me. She smiles a little
I can tell she is being honest... it's weird... she giggles
weird to have a friend... that is also a girl I mean. She says as she looks back up at Kuro, she looks in his eyes but realizes quickly that something is still bugging him, he rubs the back of his neck
Kuro: Well that's good... sooo, should we go? He forces a smile, Shiko shakes her head no hesitently
Shiko: I-I can tell something's wrong. Is it about what Haru said specificly..? The Black Yamiza..? Kuro suddenly coughs a little which slowly turns into a giggle
Kuro: I see your as observant as ever... Heh, don't worry about it. It's nothing that concerns you. He takes a deep breath and sighs as he ruffles Shiko's hair
Let's put your focus to use. Tomorrow morning, fighting practice as usual? He smiles a little, Shiko slowly nods in agreement
Shiko: Let's... not keep them waiting. I'm scared one will attack the other.. they both giggle a little, Shiko gets a few things done as they head out the room
Kuro: Yea, What even is their issue?... He giggles and they chat on the way to his and Haru's room
After they both get in the room, they see Haru trying to teach Aiko the video game that Shiko was previously playing, Shiko's eyes glisten as she sits next to them, Kuro smiles. The four of them start playing multiple games and taking few short breaks to chat every now and then
[2 hours later]
Aiko Yawns which makes a chain reaction start, making everyone else yawn one by one. They all laugh a little after The chain reaction is over and all put down their controllers Exept Haru. He stretches a little as his smile turns into a smirk.
Haru: Man, I never thought I'd have a friends night INSIDE school grounds! Especially when it comes to this school! He giggles as he puts down his game controller
Kuro: Heh, so what? Enjoying yourself better with ya rather than your drinking buds? He smirks a little, making fun of Haru, Haru puffs his face, annoyed. Shiko giggles a little
Aiko: Drinking buds? She blurts out, accidentally showing her curiosity, Haru smirks and puts his arm around Kuro
Haru: Wellll, since little Kuro over here isn't much of a drinker, I go beyond school limits at night during week days sometimes to have a few drinks with people I know~ he ruffles Kuro's hair and giggles
He neeeever drinks! He's like a child!~ he says a little annoyed, Kuro hits the back of Haru's head
Kuro: I'm older than you, you know! You're the one always acting like a kid! Haru looks at him with confused puppy eyes
Haru: What might you mean?~ I'm a very mature adult!~ he giggles before getting another slap on the head from Kuro, the girls giggle a little
Shiko: Y-You two are like siblings sometimes... she says with a light smile, Haru takes his arm off of Kuro's shoulder and makes two peace signs with his hands,with a biiig smile on his face
Haru: I wish~ My brother is a total sociopath you know!~ I'd rather have Kuro as a brother any day!~ Kuro sighs and face palm
Kuro: Nope. Nope. Nope. I'm fine as an only child and would never want you as a brother... would be too tired to get out my room if you were... he says on all seriousness, the girls giggle slightly again
Haru: Come oooon~ No way your parents never thought about having another child~ You'd be a great brother!~ Shiko opens her eyes a little wider and looks down, Kuro simply averts his eyes, Aiko just looks at all of them confused but enjoying herself maybe for the first time in her life. There is an awkward moment of silence for a bit and as he doesn't get a response; Haru puffs his cheeks as if he's being cute yet mad. But then suddenly his eyes open wider as they glisten with excitement
Haru: I got it!~ the three look at him confused, Haru smirks
Let's play truth or dare! He giggles mischievously
Aiko, Shiko & Kuro: H-Ha!? They all say in unison, surprised, they all look at eachother and shuck their shoulders
