SPY ✔︎ DEREK HALEWords: 11041

"ALL RIGHT, I ONLY FOUND ONE THING ONLINE CALLED THE KANIMA." THE THREE WERE WALKING OUT OF CLASS. "IT'S A WEREJAGUAR FROM SOUTH AMERICA THAT GOES AFTER MURDERERS."

Scott shrugged. "That thing was not a jaguar."

"Yeah, and i'm not exactly a murderer." Stiles said.

"Yeah, but you see it kill somebody which is probably why it tried to kill you." Hazel said. "And it's still trying to kill you, and it probably won't stop until you're dead."

Hazel and Scott kept walking with worries while Stiles stood there and watched them walk with a dumbfounded look. "You know, sometimes I really begin to question this 'Friendship'."

They got in next class and sat down as Jackson arrived right after the bell rang. He sat down behind Scott and Hazel behind Stiles.

"Hey, testicle next, left and right." The three rolled their eyes at that but didn't look at him. "What the hell is a Kanima?" That made their eyes snap up and turn their heads to look at him in utter shock.

But suddenly, Coach slammed a book on the table making all their heads turn to him. "All right, listen up. A quick warning before we begin our review."

The three slowly turned back to Jackson but Coach got their attention. "Some of you, like McCall might want to start their own study groups. Because tomorrow's midterm is so profoundly difficult." He chuckled sarcastically. "I'm not even too sure I could pass it. Okay, I need a volunteer at the board to answer the first question."

Hazel and Scott turned back to Jackson. "Paralyzed from the neck down. Do you have any idea what it feels like?" Jackson asked.

"I'm familiar with the sensation." Stiles said with a glare.

Jackson scowled at him as he looked to Scott. "Wait, why would Derek test you? Why would he think that it's you?" Scott questioned.

"How should I know?"

"Wait, do they think it's Lydia?" Hazel asked.

"I don't know, all I heard was her name and something about chemistry." Jackson explained until Coach was standing there and watched the four.

"Jackson!" He yelled making Hazel jump a bit. "Do you have something you want to share with the rest of the class?"

"Just an undying admiration for my couch." Jackson lied, trying to cheer him up.

"That's really kind of you." Jackson grinned at that a bit and thanked him. "Now shut up!" He yelled making him jump. "Shut up!" He turned to the rest. "Anything else?"

Hazel wasn't in the middle to get yelled at by Coach so she kept her attention on writing while Scott and Stiles were talking.

Suddenly, she heard sniffles as Hazel's brows knitted as she looked up to see Lydia in front of me the board until then she noticed that it was Lydia who was crying with her eyes closed.

Hazel set her Pinsel down as she watched the girl with worry and confusion. "Lydia?" The girl didn't budge to open her eyes and silently kept crying. "Lydia."

Coach tried to get her attention but it nothing happened.

"Lydia?" His voice went a little louder making Lydia open her eyes in a loud gasp. Coach walked in front of her. "Okay then, anybody else want to try answering? This time in English."

The class laughed at that but the four kept still. They knew something was up.

"What is that, Greek?" Scott questioned.

"No, actually. I think it is English." Stiles said as he showed him the picture that Hazel was able to see. He switched the picture the other way that was now making sense, which read,

'Someonehelpme'

Just as class was done, the three walked out of class and still didn't go out of the topic. "Derek is not gonna kill her without proof."

"All right, so he tests her like he did with Jackson, right?" Hazel asked. "But when and where?"

They arrived in  experiment class as they looked towards Lydia that silently sat there on her desk and working. Suddenly, they looked up to see Erica and Isaac walking in with evil smiles on their face at them.

"I think here and now." Scott said.

They noticed that the two were looking at Lydia then to the three as they noticed it to and glared at the lonely girl.

Suddenly, Erica went for it but Scott and Stiles quickly sat next to Lydia which made the sister sigh in relief.

Allison arrived as Hazel walked to the front desk and she sat right beside her. Alison shook her head in question to Scott that nodded his head behind.

Erica evilly smirked at her making Hazel's blood boil. She started to feel hate towards her.

"Einstein once said, 'The things are infinite. The universe and human stupidity. And i'm not sure about the universe.' I myself have encouraged infinite stupidity." Mr. Harris patted Stiles' shoulder at that. "So to combat the place of ignorance in my class, you're going to combine efforts through a round of group experiments. Let's see if two heads are indeed better than one. Or in Mr. Stilinski's case, less than one." Stiles opened his mouth but closed it again. "Erica, you take the first station. You'll start with..."

Suddenly, half of the class was raiding their hands.

"I didn't ask for volunteers." Mr. Harris said. "Put your hormonal hands down. Starting with Mr. McCall. All right, next two."

Erica glanced at Allison and didn't pull that smirk away while Argent was secretly having a face of fear.

The bell rang. "Switch."

They all stood up and the boy next Hazel walked away. Hazel waited until a hand was placed on the table and sat down next to her.

Isaac.

Hazel's heart pounded harder as she didn't dare to look at him but he was now, with that sly smirk she hated.

Hazel sighed as she got anger but kept calm and opened the deck of the bottle. "If you harm one perfect strawberry blonde hair on her head, i'm gonna turn your little werewolf ass into a fur coat and give it to her as a birthday present."

He smiled at that. "Really? I've never actually been to one of her big, invite-only birthday parties. I did ask her out though."

"Sounds like the beginning to a heartbeat story." Hazel sarcastically added. "I'm gonna pass, thanks."

"Actually... i could tell that Stiles. Now, let's go up to you." He placed his chin on his palm as he watched her. "No wonder why you're so special to Derek, aren't you?"

That made her stop doing what was doing as he eyes snapped up at that. "What are you talking about?"

Isaac smirked as he watched her. "He didn't tell you? Well that makes the topic double times better. I can sense that he thinks about you sometimes. Stresses over your broken heart..." He pulled a strand of hair from her and pulled it to the side making the girl lean back. "Now... isn't that a beginning to a heartbeat story?"

Hazel glared at him with a gaped mouth as he was grinning until the bell rang and moved out of her seat.

Blond hairs were in the corner of her eye sight and closed her eyes to keep calm. She didn't even think about that one.

Just as she sat next to her, Hazel just kept doing her work and tried her best to ignore her bitchy moods.

She could smell her smirk as it was getting tense. But the only thing she kept doing was ignore and silencing.

"What? No talking?" Erica rose a brow as she smirked.

"Something we shouldn't be doing right?" Hazel didn't dare to look at her as she kept doing her work.

She silently chuckled. "You know... I can really sense Derek's feelings toward you. Ever since we..." She shrugged. "Kissed."

That made the brunette's eyes snap up and tried her best to calm down but she was too shocked what she just heard.

Not her kidding, right?

"Wait—... you didn't know? I am so sorry. Must be heartbreaking to hear news like that." She fake pouted. "If he loves someone else, you can't do nothing but move on I guess. Hm?"

This time, Hazel slowly looked up to meet those devil eyes that she would love to squeeze out.

"You really think you can hurt me by playing around with Derek?" She rose a brow.

Erica only smiled with a chuckle. "Guess so."

The two stared at each other. Hazel with anger in her eyes and Erica with smug eyes. Not until she sensed something behind her back as the brunette hesitantly turned her head out the window and saw the one and only Derek outside, standing on front of his car and waiting there.

But his eyes were definitely on Hazel.

After everyone was done, Allison, Stiles, Scott and Hazel walked inside a room. "Derek's outside, waiting for Lydia."

"Waiting to kill her?" Allison asked in worries.

"If he thinks she's the Kanima, then yes." That made them sigh. "Especially after what happened at the pool."

"It's not her." Stiles turned around.

"Stiles, she didn't pass the test, man. Nothing happened." Hazel said.

"No. It can't be her." Stiles said with none believe in that.

"It doesn't matter, because Derek thinks it's her." Hazel said to which Allison nodded in agreement.

"So, either we can convince him that he's wrong, or we've got to figure out a way to protect her." Allison said as she looked to Scott.

"I really don't think he's gonna do anything here, not at school." Scott said.

"What about after school?" Allison added.

Scott sighed at that.

"What if we can prove that Derek's wrong?" Hazel suggested after letting out a sigh.

"By three o'clock?" Stiles looked at her.

"There could be something in the bestiary." Hazel reasoned.

"Oh, you mean the 900-page book written in Archaic Latin that none of us can read? Good luck with that." Stiles said having enough anger in him to hide.

"Actually, I think i know someone who might be able to translate it." Allison added making Hazel look up.

"Uh, I can talk to Derek." Scott said. "Maybe convince him to give us a chance is prove that it's not her."

"But if anything happens, you guys let me handle it, okay?" Scott reassured looking at every each of them.

"What does that mean?" Allison questioned.

"It means you can't heal like i do." Scott said looking into her eyes making Allison frown and turn away from him. "I just don't want you getting hurt."

"Wow, what a sibling love." Sarcastically the sister added with a mutter.

But then Allison pulled something out of her bag while the rest were looking to each other then back to Argent.

She pulled out her bow as she glared at Scott. "I can protect myself."

But the boys weren't into that making Hazel frown. Scott was now frowning at her as if he was trying to say something. "What?" She placed down her Bow. "Did something else happen?"

He looked deeply into her eyes as he added, "I just don't want you getting hurt. Seriously, if anything goes wrong, you can call me, okay? I don't care if your dad finds out. Call, text, scream, yell, whatever. I'll hear you and I'll find you as fast as i can." Allison looked up to him and nodded. "We have until 3:00."

She nodded again as Scott leaned back from her and turned around to walk to the door until both Hazel and Scott sensed something.

And arrow flying to the back of his head but Scott was quick to catch it only to see Stiles holding the bow with a gaped mouth.

"Ah." Stiles have it back to Allison while Hazel watched him with a face. "Sorry. Sorry. It's a sensitive trigger on that."

S/T: Pacify her. She's getting on my nerves
