Chapter 72: 66- Teasing game

SPY ✔︎ DEREK HALEWords: 5996

HAZEL WOKE UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AS SHE WAS MAKING HER WAY TOWARDS DEREK'S BED QUIETLY.

After she was left to go from the hospital, Derek was the one to get her over at his. And at that moment, she was left in a long black shirt along with short, black leggings that reached her thighs with her straight her left open.

Hazel noticed that she still had her makeup on, which Derek didn't budge to smear off but it was whatever to her.

She sat down on his bed next to his sleeping body as she kept her eyes on him. Hazel knew something was up and noticed something wrong with him.

Trying her best to be careful, she reached her hands forward to his white tank shirt and dragged her eyes back and forth to him.

Lifting his shirt, Hazel saw the wound still bleeding and not healed ever since he was shot. Which was a couple days ago.

That's when hands grasped onto hers, making Hazel close her eyes in annoyance but also because she was caught.

"What are you doing?" Derek asked.

"Protecting my friend." Hazel mocked him.

"Hmm." Derek grinned at her.

"Why aren't you healing?" Hazel directly went to the point.

"Some wounds take longer." Derek said.

Hazel only stared at him. "And some leave scars. But not for people like you. So, what's going on?"

"Maybe I'm just tired." Derek changed the subject with that hilarious look on his face as he turned on his side to face his back to her.

"Derek. Show me your eyes."

"You just saw them." Hazel half smiled at his sarcasm in the middle of the night.

"Show me your real eyes."

He shifted on his back as he sighed once his expression got serious and looked into her eyes, letting Hazel check them out.

"Okay. Now, why don't you tell me what's really going on?" Hazel questioned.

Derek just sighed as he looked at her.

Derek stood against the desk as Hazel was bandaging his wound. "It's just a graze. But make sure it doesn't get infected." Derek grabbed his shirt to put it back on while Hazel walked past him from behind. "That's probably something you've never had to worry about before, is it?" He tilted his head in answer and put his shirt over his head when Hazel had her hands pressed against the desk. "So, it's everything then? No glowing eyes, no healing."

"Smell, healing, speed, everything." Derek said.

"Strength?" She whispered in question.

"I can still win a fight." That made Hazel chuckle with a cool expression and gave him a look which he returned as a question with.

She pressed her elbow on the desk as she offered for his hand to which he chuckled at. He did the same as the two stared into each others eyes. "You ready?"

"Mhmm."

"One, two..." He gave her a challenging look but she as always kept her cool until she pressed his hand on the desk making him grunt.

"God! You cheated. That's cheating." He grunted.

"I won. When you're a human facing off against the supernatural, you need to bend the rules a little bit." Hazel explained with that slight grin. "I'm gonna teach you how to bend." Derek sighed at that as he looked into her eyes. "As long as I'm the Vampire with strength, speed and skills left, you can't tell me otherwise."

━─━────༺༻────━─━

Hazel placed a gun on the book that was placed on the desk. "This is a masquerade bloodline gun. It can kill a Vampire immediately. Same for humans. Except that it will have a couple seconds left to die. In case if you wanna give some last words when it comes to you killing one." She joked as Derek smiled at that.

"I don't like guns."

"That's because you've never learned to use one."

"Or because I've been shot. Repeatedly."

"You'll like this one." She grabbed the gun and loaded bullets in it. "Yeah, it does kill us Vampires but I'm smart enough to put somewhat bullets in there that are most likely to kill something other than a Vampire." She grabbed his hand and placed the gun there. "But using a gun isn't just about learning how to point and shoot."

"Why's that?"

"Because an average person can live 21 feet in 1.5 seconds. If they have a knife, they can get you before you can pull and fire. So with a gun," She shrugged. "you need distance." She walked a couple steps next to him. "Go for it. Pull the gun on me."

He suddenly smiled at her action as he looked at her. "How the hell did you learn all that?"

Hazel just gave a slight shrug by one shoulder. "I practiced with my genius Partners. You know them. The Marshall brothers." She grinned.

He stood up and and pointed his gun to her but then Hazel was quick enough to use her skills and grab it from his hand. "So, yeah." He muttered awkwardly.

"Wanna try again?"

He hummed and took the gun as he was about to raise it again until Hazel did the same thing which he sighed at.

Hazel pursed her lips at that with a grin hidden behind. "One more time." He said.

"I could do this all day." Hazel smiled when she stepped closer to him and he just nodded as the two stared into each others eyes.

That's when Derek leaned in and pressed his lips onto hers, grabbing her jaws in his hands but she still was in the game as she pressed the gun against his stomach. Derek was about to kiss the side of her face but then realized as he trailed off and the two were left in that close position.

"You cheated." Hazel whispered when Derek inches his face away from her to look in her eyes.

"Learning to bend."

Hazel was still grinning at that as she moved her face closer to him as she latched her lips on his as the two hungrily kissed and launched into each others arms.

Hazel wrapped her arms around his shoulders until he grabbed her thighs and picked her up as they continued eating each other out.

He placed her on the desk as he removed the things and Hazel removed his shirt as they kissed again, both knowing that they had waited for this moment long enough.

Wait for next chapter!
