Classifications and labels,
Normality and strangeness,
Obstacles and paths traced
In the sand of the desert,
The wind will carry you away
Will sweep you far away one day
Where no one will see you again.
Closures and customs
In the mind and heart,
Clenched fists and tight lips,
Life will show you
That they were as strange as me
And they will disappear into the silence
Where now I lie.
Limits and boundaries,
Strict divisions of the self,
Why do you exist?
Out of fear of the other?
What if the other is closer
Than you think?
What if the other has something
To say, to show, to accept,
But you suppressed it so much
That you crushed it in the press
Of normality?
