Deal Done
Tangled Fate (1st book of ROYAL ROMANCE )
Veer was still lost in thought, the image of Ridhima in red lingering in his mind, when his manager entered.
"Sir, Mr. Thakur has arrived for the meeting. He and his son are waiting for you in the conference room."
Veer snapped out of his thoughts, setting his phone down. He adjusted his suit and made his way to the meeting room, his usual composed self returning as he stepped in.
Veer entered the conference room with his usual confident stride, adjusting the cuffs of his suit. He was met with the sight of Mr. Rajesh Thakurâa name that carried weight both in Bollywood and the business world. The man was a legendary actor and a corporate tycoon, known for his sharp mind and powerful connections.
Seated next to him was a younger man, Yash Thakur. He had the effortless confidence of someone who had grown up in the spotlight, his neatly styled hair and designer suit adding to his polished appearance.
Mr. Thakur smiled as Veer took his seat. "Veer, meet my son, Yash. He has been handling some of our international projects, and I want him to expand his experience here in India. I believe working with you will be the perfect opportunity."
Veer extended his hand, keeping his expression neutral. "Nice to meet you, Yash."
Yash smirked slightly as he shook Veer's hand. "Likewise. I've heard a lot about you."
Veer nodded, maintaining professionalism. "All good, I hope."
Mr. Thakur chuckled. "Only the best. Veer, I want Yash to work alongside you on upcoming projects. He's sharp when it comes to market strategies, and with your business instincts, I see a strong partnership forming."
Veer leaned back slightly, considering the proposal. A new partnership with the Thakurs meant more influence and power in the industry. He had no reason to object.
"That sounds like a solid plan. I'm open to it."
Yash grinned. "Let's see if we make a good team then."
Veer smirked. "I guess we'll find out soon enough."
The meeting continued, discussing future projects and business strategies. For Veer, it was just another dealâhe had no idea that this collaboration was about to entangle him in a complicated past he wasn't even aware of yet

Veer walked out of the building, adjusting his suit as he watched Rajesh Thakur and Yash Thakur get into their luxury car. He gave them a polite nod before checking his watchâ6:49 PM.
"Shit." He muttered under his breath as it clickedâhe had a meeting with Ridhima.
Without wasting another second, he pulled out his phone and quickly typed a message:
ð¬ "On my way. Be there in 20."
Shoving his phone back into his pocket, he turned to his driver. "Get the SUV ready. We're heading to Rajawat Enterprises."
The driver nodded and pulled the car forward. Veer slid into the backseat, running a hand through his hair as he leaned back. His mind briefly wandered to Ridhima in that red sareeâAarini's message flashing in his head again.
"Ridhima, as beautiful as she is..."
He smirked slightly at his own reaction. What was this woman doing to him?
Shaking off the thought, he straightened his posture. Time to focus. Whatever Ridhima wanted to discuss, it had to be important.
Ridhima's Office â Waiting for Veer
Ridhima sat at her desk, tapping her fingers against the polished wooden surface. 6:49 PM. Her eyes flickered to the clock, then to the door.
Her heart wasn't supposed to race like this. It's just Veer. Just a man she had no intention of marrying. Just a man she was supposed to be negotiating with.
Then, through the glass walls of her office, she saw him.
Veer Arora.
Calm, composed, walking in like he owned the world. His crisp black suit fit him perfectly, the top button of his shirt undone, giving him an effortless charm. The dim office lighting cast shadows on his sharp jawline, making him look like a Greek god in motion.
Ridhima inhaled sharply. Why does he have to look like that?
As he approached, she quickly got up and walked toward the office control panel, pressing the button to frost the glass walls. The transparent office turned opaque in seconds, creating a barrier from prying eyes and ears.
Veer raised a brow as he walked in, shutting the door behind him. "Wow. Privacy? I didn't know you liked me this much, sweetheart."
Ridhima rolled her eyes and sat back down. "Sit. We have something important to discuss."
Veer smirked, adjusting his watch before taking the seat in front of her. His intense gaze locked onto her, but she refused to let her thoughts spiral.
And yet, her mind betrayed her. The memory of his hands catching her on the staircase, the way he whispered in her ear before leaving... it all played on repeat.
She hated this. She hated that he was getting into her head.
