Morning Reflections
Hyesung woke up early, as had become his habit, and instinctively turned on the TV. Thanks to his extended hospital stay, he found himself fully awake even at this hour. The morning news was on, with the anchor reporting, as usual, on the Daehyun Gate scandal. Each day, more politicians and corporate figures linked to Jung Sejin were being exposed.
Todayâs headlines focused on a statement from Daehyunâs chairman, who was also Jung Sejinâs father. He expressed regret for how he had raised his son, apologizing to the public, while emphasizing that his son had acted independently.
As Hyesung watched with a detached expression, he heard the sound of the door lock beeping. Soon, familiar footsteps approached, and Lee Hyuk, dressed in workout gear, entered the room.
âYouâre up already?â Lee Hyuk asked, planting a kiss on Hyesungâs forehead.
âDid you go for a run?â Hyesung inquired, catching a faint scent of citrus. The soft pheromones that lingered from Lee Hyukâs sweat immediately put him at ease.
âYeah,â Lee Hyuk replied, smiling as he took in the sight of Hyesung comfortably sitting in his home. But then his gaze shifted to the TV.
âI told you to stop watching this stuff,â Lee Hyuk said, taking the remote and turning off the TV, the screen going black and reflecting their figures.
âIâm just curious,â Hyesung responded.@@novelbin@@
âThereâs no need to be curious about that.â
