"Chalein na!" She whined like a baby as Dawood squinted his eyes still very sleepy, his hand running through his hair further messing up their disheveled form.
"Look at the time Hoor! It's literally 3 AM and you want us to go grab some Mc'donalds drive thru?" He spoke in his sleepy voice.
They were back in Pakistan and Hoor's university was starting from the next day. Dawood didn't want her to live in the hostel so they had shifted to a house in Lahore. After having a long day, he was soundly asleep when Hoor's weird craving due to her natural mood swings dropping any time on her erupted again.
Since she couldn't sleep thinking about her first day in both excitement and curiosity. She had finally reached her dream, she couldn't wait for the morning and her sleep was far away from her. Her thought process shifted to food when her stomach demanded for some late night snacks. She could never say no to that.
"Ap hi ne hume lat lagai hai iss spicy chaske ki! I want my favourite spicy burger with fries and coke." She folded her arms, standing on his bed side as he was still wrapped in the blanket. On hearing no response, she snatched the blanket away in a go leaving him lying there in his gym vest and pyjamas. "I'll count till three, if you don't get up, meine paani ki baalti laa kar ulta deni hai aap pe!" She warned.
"Just order it." He tried pulling the blanket back but she threw it on the couch, making him lie back down on his chest with a sigh, his mascular back flexing.
"Usmai kia maza? Mujhe jaana hai aur aap mujhe le kar jaein ge." She placed her hands on her waist and deadpanned, trying not to drool over the view.
"You've got university in the morning."
"So? Usi wajah se tou neend nahi aa rahi!" She pouted looking at the clock again.
"Hoor, I'm literally in my pyjamas." He groaned, trying another excuse to get out of the situation. But who was he trying with?
"Tou kia hua? Seedha gaari mai tap jaiye ga nikal ke!" She exasperated. Grabbing onto his arm to force him up, she pinched it when he didn't budge.
"Ow. Acha na! Zaalim aurat!" He muttered the last part sitting up on the bed as Hoor satisfyingly smiled hopping towards the mirror, while he lazily got up from the cozy bed.
"Jaldi." She restlessly stood by the door while he tried to look representable. He wore an open button shirt on top, shaking his head with a smile. This woman will make him do all the crazy stuff and he wouldn't mind doing it for her with a smile if it makes her happy. Squishing her cheeks and side hugging her as she giggled, they made their way outside.

|2 years later|
"I'll talk to you later then." He spoke on the phone talking to his wife in Pakistan, while he was in England for work related matters. He often had to visit UK to check up on business matters, and mostly Hoor would accompany him if she had off from university, but since she had her semester exams, she stayed back at the hostel while he was away for a week. It has just been three days and she had started complaining about missing him, quite rare of her.
"Dawood." She called out in a soft voice, not wanting to end the call, making his heart miss her more.
"Haye, mera dil. Phir se kehna, please." He dramatically requested, holding the phone closer to his ear.
"Kia? Dawood?" She queried with a smile playing on her lips.
"Aapke honto se apna naam bohat khoobsoorat sa lagta hai." His voice was low yet deep, making Hoor blush at his statement.
"Ek baar phir se vaar kiya hai aapne humare dil pe warning diye beghair!" She shyly played with her hair strand, rolling it around her finger, as she was standing by the window gazing at the moon.
"Aur aap jo humpe full on vaar karti hain unka kia? My heart is also not immune to them, janab." He playfully remarked, sitting back on the edge of his office table.
"Bass kardein, smilein pass kar kar ke jabra hil jae ga mera." She tugged the strands behind her ear, cupping her cheek which hurt due to smiling so widely the whole time.
"Nahi please. Abhi mai wahan wapis seedha karne ke liye nahi hun." He chuckled, wanting to squish her cheeks which must've turned pink by now.
"Aapse karwa bhi kon raha hai? Avein hi aap terha jor denge." And she was back to snapping again.
"Jee acha. Phir apko yeh mujhse shaadi karne se pehle sochna chahiye tha, ke mujhe handle kese karna hai." He answered her previously asked question making her pout.
"Hume kiya pata tha ap itne cute honge!" She exaggerated the word itne as a knock on Dawood's office room interrupted his attention.
"Mr. Dawood?" Flora entered in the room with a few files to get them signed.
"Yes. One minute." He put Hoor on hold and took the files, nodding at her as to he will sign them later.
"Dawood?" She called him out as he quickly switched the phone to his other ear while Flora left the room.
"Jee, jaan. I'm here." He placed the files on the table, replying to her in a sweet tone.
"Kon thi wo?" She questions sounding a bit irritated.
"Ah. Flora, she was j-"
"Ap us dora ko apne saath le kar gae hain?" She cut him off, her anger mode on, as her voice got louder.
"Uh, she was supposed to be here as my secretary. She plans all my meetings a-"
"Haan, biwi se zyada uski zaroorat hai udhar!" As usual, she didn't let him complete his sentence as Dawood rubbed his face, wanting to bang the files out of the window. Her mood's blasted again now!
"What? No, why are you taking it in tha-" He tried speaking again to be left with an incomplete sentence as she bargained from the other side.
"Sahi hai, ab mai bhi apko wo good news nahi bataungi ke mai wo hun!" Hoor broke the news she didn't want to expose as yet like this, but the heat of the moment made her tongue slip. She wanted to surprise him live when he returned, that she was pregnant!
"Wait Hoor? What did you just say?" And bang, the call was shut as Dawood stared at his phone screen in a daze. Did she mean what he thinks she meant? Was she...Were they....He's gonna become a dad?
//âââ//
Hoor was in the room, pacing around while cursing herself. Jhalli! Pait mai tou koi baat reh hi nahi sakti na mere! Aisa batana tha? Sab kharab kar diya meine!
She stood attached to the wall, hitting her forehead with it lightly multiple times. She had a paper next morning and her brain seemed to be defunctioning now. She didn't pick up his call again throwing her phone in the locker. He wasn't at fault, but he still was.
After her exam the next day, which she knew she couldn't give her best in and she might hardly pass. But that wasn't her concern. She felt weird, maybe it was because of the hormones. Lazily making her way to the hostel building, she plopped on her bed on her tummy, but quickly turned around laying straight. "Ulta nahi lait sakti hun mai ab?" She wondered.
A knock on her door made her sit up. The warden came in looking for her as the dean had called her. Confused, Hoor walked out of the hostel not knowing why would he ask for her?
She stopped in her tracks getting out of the hostel exit, as she was met by the sight of her husband standing by his car with a wide grin plastered on his face. He's back? He left his work and returned for her after she broke the news. Her heart flipped as her eyes turned glossy. Taking slow steps towards him which slowly fastened as she sprinted in his direction.
"How could I not fly over after hearing my beautiful wife's-" He couldn't complete his sentence as he stumbled back with Hoor jumping in his arms in a tight embrace, her legs in the air. Protectively wrapping his arms around her, he held onto her too, as she nuzzled her face in the crook of his neck making him smile.
"I missed you." He whispered in her ear as she snuggled in his arms, her feet still above the ground. Placing a soft kiss on his cheek, she caressed his face from both sides, their noses touching now. Not caring about the surroundings, they stood there in their own world.
"Trust me when I say you're the most perfect human being I've ever had the chance of knowing. You're truly amazing and too lucky I'm to have you. I just wanna say thank you so much for everything you've done for me. I appreciate that with all my heart. I'll never be able to repay any of that but my heart is eternally grateful for every single thing. I love love love you so much, more than you'll ever know!" She confessed teary eyed, feeling sentimental.
"Mutual feelings, my love." This side of hers was new to him as he joined their heads, cherishing the moment.
She felt like the luckiest girl alive to have found her one and only gem, while he felt like the luckiest man alive to have this very unique girl as his Hoor. How unpredictable and unexpected is this thing called; destiny. Two complete strangers from two different worlds who met accidently were now two connected hearts belonging to each other as one soul. Simple, they were meant to be.
