Zahra's eyes fluttered open to the bright morning sky. Her hands came up as she rubbed her eyes. She looked looked down down to her waist where a heavy arm was holding her tightly. She smiled shyly before turning around. Fahad looked so peaceful thought Zahra. She traced his face, not caring if it would wake him up.
She startled as a hand grabbed her own. She looked up into her husbands dark eyes that were staring at her. She gave a cheeky smile before snuggling into him.
Fahad smiled at his wife's tactic and placed a kiss on her forehead.
He still didn't believe what had happened last night. She was officially his. His first and his last.
"Go to sleep, it's just 8 am." He whispered. He felt her nod and the both of them fell asleep again.

Zahra woke up and noticed the bed was empty. She frowned in confusion and wondered as to where Fahad had left. He told her he wasn't going to work today either.
Her eyes snapped up to the bathroom and she heard the shower. Running.
"Fahad must be in there." She thought to herself. She got up and changed into a cream colored shalwaar with a maroon kurti, with cream colored embroidery.
As she was brushing her hair, she heard the door open.
"Fahad-," her voice stopped as she saw Saad coming out the bathroom. What?
"Fahad?" He questioned, with a twinkle in his hazel eyes. Zahra looked at him in confusion. "You wound me, dear wife."Â He said and came closer towards her. He bent down and kissed her stomach. Zahra looked down in shock.
How did she not notice the pregnant belly before?
"What was happening?" She questioned herself.
"How's our princess doing?"Â He asked.
"Sh-she's fine." Zahra replied, still confused.
Was she dreaming?
Saad moved forward and roughly took his wife into his arms. No longer were his eyes mischievous, instead they were dark and angered. Zahra could start feel the tears in her eyes because of his grip. His head went down towards her ear and whispered, "I will never forgive you."
All of a sudden she was in a dark, cold, empty room. The tears were now falling freely from her eyes. "K-koi hai?"
(Is anyone there)
What is going on?
She saw a shadow emerge. It was Fahad. Zahra jumped in joy and ran towards him before he fell to the ground in front of her.
"Look what you did." Screeched Rahila. "I told you, you would also kill Fahad like you did Saad."
"No, n-no." She began to murmur. "That...this wasn't my fault."
She saw as the rest of her family emerged from the shadows, all of them holding accusing eyes.
"This all your fault." Zavira shouted. Zahra shook her head,
"No...no it isn't."
â¢â¢â¢â¢ â¢â¢â¢ â¢â¢â¢â¢
She woke up with a start, her heart pounding, sweat trickling down the side of her head. Zahra looked around the room. Everything looked the same.
"It was a dream." She whispered. "Just a dream."
After calming down, Zahra got up and decided to take a shower since she was sweating a lot and didn't want to smell and she had to preform ghusl. She rested her head against the shower wall, still shaken up from the dream.
She sighed and changed into traditional clothes. After drying and brushing her hair, she decided to head downstairs.
Everyone was already done with their breakfast except Zahra. She walked in the kitchen to see her mother in law and sister in law's sitting at the breakfast table.
"Zahra, khana banado?" Saima questioned. Zahra shook her head and told her she would do it herself.
(Should I make food for you)
She sat at the breakfast table after preparing her food, listening in on everyone's conversations. "Mai aaj khabrestan jhaongi," the words spewed out her mouth before she could control them.
(I will you to the graveyard today)
Everyone at the table froze. Truth was, ever since the death of Saad, she hadn't gone to his grave. Perhaps it was out of fear? She didn't know.
Saima looked at her in concern, confused as to why she had suddenly wanted to go. "Is everything all right?" Zainab asked. Zahra nodded and gave them a smile, in hopes to reassure them.
"Yes everything is fine, I-I just wanted to go."
Saima nodded and gave her a nod. "Khan Lala will go out in a bit to get some groceries, he can drop you off if you'd like."
"Gee, that would be perfect." After finishing her breakfast, Zahra got up to go to and change. She put on a white kameez with black embroidery and a pair of black trousers.
(Yes)
Khan Lala was already waiting for her when she got down. She gave him a smile before sitting in the back seat. She looked out the window, staring as the trees became a blur. The car came to a stop and she looked at the gates of the graveyard. Instantly, her heart rate increased.
After thanking the driver, she walked inside the graveyard. She noticed some other families sitting by their loved ones, making a dua for them, and cleaning the dirt off their graves.
She looked as there was also a grave that had fresh dirt on it. Looking away, she walked towards the section where most of her husbands paternal side was buried.
She started walking slower before as she neared the graves. Her breath hitched as she saw her husbands gravestone. Zahra kneeled before the grave and trailed her hands over it. Tears rushed to her eyes, threatening to fall at any moment.
A sob left her lips as she stared at his grave. The next few minutes passed with her crying her heart out. She wiped the tears and took a deep breath. She took the bag that was full of rose petals and placed them all over the grave, not missing a corner.
"I miss you." She whispered in the wind. After spending sometime next to his grave and telling out loud stories of recent events, Zahra heart felt lighter. She felt much better after talking her heart out. She looked at the time on her phone. It was 3 pm. Khan lala said he would be there around this time to pick her up.
She quickly whispered a prayer for Saad and then headed out the gates. She was kicking a pebble with her feet as she heard a car pull up. Zahra looked up and was surprised to see Fahad in the car, Khan Lala nowhere in sight. She slowly walked up to the car and sat in it and Fahad sped off in the direction of their home.
The car was silent. But not a uncomfortable silence that made you want to leave the car. Instead it was a peaceful silence.
Zahra got out the car as soon as Fahad parked the car. While she was waking inside, Fahad grasped her hand in his own and led her inside. Zahra could feel the butterflies in her stomach as a slight blush appeared on her cheeks. But then she remembered the dream she had and she tensed up.
Fahad led her up the stairs and to their room. Zahra noticed that he was in his office attire but hadn't he told her that he was going to stay home today.
"I thought you said you would be home today." Zahra whispered. Fahad turned to look at her before pulling her into his arms.
"I was but my employees are idiots and good for nothing." He whispered angrily, his jaw clenched. Zahra laughed his the face he made. He looked like Zavira when you would say no to her.
Fahads eyes softened as he heard his wife's melodic laugh ring out in their room. "I'm sorry for not telling you in advance. It was very sudden and I forgot to tell you." He said and rested his forehead on top of hers. Zahra mumbled an 'it's ok' before closing her eyes and enjoying his warmth.
"Do you feel better now?" He asked. Zahra pulled back and looked at his soft eyes in confusion. "After visiting Saads grave I mean." Zahra sucked in a sharp breath before nodding. This time, she leaned against him with her head on his chest and her hands wrapped around his waist. Fahad smiled before kissing her forehead.
"It feels as if a weight has been lifted off my shoulders."
Fahad nodded in understanding and pulled her closer. A knock on their door interrupted them as Zavira walked in the room.
"Baba." She said and pouted. Fahad internally rolled his eyes, knowing his daughter was here only because she wanted something. "Yes, baba's Jaan?" He asked while he still held on to his precious wife.
(Life)
"I want to go watch a movie in the theater."
"Well we have a theater at home don't we?" He replied. They had turned one of the extra rooms into a at home theater, which the kids loved. Kids including Raza.
The three of them headed towards the theater, with snacks and blankets. The room had three rows in chairs with 8 chairs in each row. You could also pull the divider between the seats up to make it one big couch.
They all settled in the middle and started watching Tangled, Zavira's and Zahra's favorite movie. After about 40 minutes into the movie, Zavira was sound asleep. Fahad shook his head at her, laughing and pulled the blanket over her.
He turned to look at his wife who lost in her thoughts, not paying attention to the movie. Fahad pulled up the seat divider and pulled his wife closer. Zahra looked at him in confusion.
"What's wrong." He asked her, holding her heart shaped face in his hands.
"Nothing." His wife whispered and looked away.
"It's definitely something."
After a few seconds of silence, Zahra rested her head on his shoulder and told him about her dream. She voiced out about how sacred she'd got because of it.
Fahad stayed silent before pulling his wife on his lap. He grabbed her face once again and gave her a soft kiss to her lips. Zahra pulled back, her cheeks on fire.
"You could never be the cause of my downfall, baby," he whispered to her, his eyes holding sincerity. "If anything, you're my strength, the reason to live, my everything,
Without you, there'd be no me."
Zahra's eyes stung as she stared at her husband with a smile gracing her angelic face.
"C'mon. Let's go to bed." Zahra nodded and got up as Fahad picked up Zavira in his arms. While he went to put her to bed, Zahra carried out her nightly routine.
Fahad got into bed as soon as he came into their room, his arms opened wide for her. A rush of excitement traveled through Zahra as she leaped into his arms. Fahad chuckled and cuddled into her.
Zahra sighed in content and snuggled further into his warmth.
Before she drifted off to sleep, she heard a soft whisper from behind her.
"I love you."
