Fantasia Apocalypta
âAll attentionâ A voice rang out throughout the crippled fleet
âWe WILL follow through; we WILL attack the scourgesâ
The soldiers cry out, today is their last day.
The sun sets the horizon, illuminating the ships with a golden hue
âWeâre going to die today?â âPleaseâ¦Pleaseâ¦Pleaseâ
âHas god left us?â
Many doubts, many cries, and face with truth.
âMany of you, will still feel fear. That is normal. But God has not left us!â Yamaâs voice echoes.
âHe WILL be in at the gates of death, welcoming our souls! But those at the throne? They wonât bat an eye. Our deaths will not shake their golden seatsâ
âSo, WE will make the bat.
WE will make them FEEL
The Dunkirk WILL fall, let them know that weâre not pawnsâ
The silence is heavy and thick,
âThese ships, theyâre not the hands on the wheel, nor the feet on the deckâ
âSO LET THEM FEEL, LET THEM KNOWâ
âIT
WAS
YOUâ
The fleet erupts with a thundering cheer. No one here has anything to lose, only their lives.
âMay death free us allâ Yama said, quiet but firm
The ships start to move like never before, the deck once filled with cowards, now flooded with determined soldiers.
âHey! Mark what did you do?â Rose scream, confused at the situation
âThey rejectedâ Mark said eerie calm
âYou canât just do this in a fit of rage, you know that right?â Paul chimed in
âWhat about her? What are you going to tell her? That HER life was going to end in less than 3 days?â Rose asked, pointing to the still unconscious Furi. âAre you broken that easily?â
âIf you donât want to go, Iâll go aloneâ Mark replied
âNo, Iâll go with youâ Paul said, walking to Markâs side âNo one is waiting for me back there anywayâ
âRose, your home is welcoming your back. Please, embrace its hugâ Mark said, his voice saddens âAnd teach her itâs warmth, The Dunkirk has escape boats. Use itâ
Rose stood there, unable to produce any words. Her tears dropped.
âIâm sorry I couldnât visit Grinda once moreâ Mark said, turning and heading into the wheelhouse
âMay we be friends in the next lifeâ Paul uttered before joining Mark in the wheelhouse.
Rose fell to her knees, tears still running down her face.
Elsewhere, aboard the PINS Trojan
You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.
2 figures stand beside a wooden table in a small steel cabin
âI donât want to do thisâ Captain Lucas said.
âThen what should we do, Captainâ the other figure asked
âWe will contact Zinovia, and tell her about this âplanâ of theirsâ
âWhat if she rejects us again?â
âThey wonât. Dunkirk is important to Caprico relations to Aquaria. And most of our ships comes from Aquariaâ Lucas asks âThis was Zinoviaâs blunderâ
âIf we tell her, we should be getting some leniency on our punishmentâ
âWhy donât we just flee to Aquaria?â The other figure said
âThat place is weird; I donât want to go there ever, Lieutenant, have you never been there?â Lucas uttered, with a disgusted look
âNo, sirâ The Lieutenant answered. âBut sir, how are we going to communicate with HQ? Isnât the only messaging orb at the Mono?â
âThatâs where youâre wrong, that isnât the only messaging orb in this fleet. This ship, The PINS Trojan also has oneâ Lucas said proudly âIâve kept it a secret for times like theseâ
âWhere is it, sir? Iâll bring it hereâ The Lieutenant offered
âItâs in the storage, the box labeled âFragile cargoââ Lucas said
The Lieutenant Walk towards the door, opening it with a metallic screech.
âLieutenantâ Lucas calls out, as if his heart is holding a secret.
âYes, sir?â The Lieutenant turns to face him
âDo you know why I donât believe in this âplanââ He said, with a heavy heart âMy father, heâ¦he served on the Dunkirk, and heâ¦he told meâ¦â
âHe told you what sir?â The Lieutenant stops, anticipating the answer
âThe Dunkirk has a remote controllerâ
In the Monoâs wheelhouse
âWe will fire the salvos at this positionâ Mark said pointing to a map âGive it our all, no need to hold backâ
âLetâs go out on a bangâ Yama compliments, his voice filled with peace.
âCaptains, sir!â A soldier barges in, shattering the calmness of the wheelhouse âWeâve arrivedâ
BANG!
An explosion shakes the Mono, startling Mark and Yama
Mark and Yama rushed out of the wheelhouse, they froze at the sight
A volley of fireballs arching across the sky, their target was the injured fleet.
A swarm of black mass appeared. Its presence devours everything, an army, No THE army of the scourges is rapidly approaching. Shrieking and clicking as it moves like black storm.
Yama rushes back inside.
âALL HANDS AT BATTLE STATIONS! MAKE YOUR LOVED ONES PROUD!â He shouted
The cannonâs runes glow once more, firing spells into the land.
Exploding with force. The shockwave reaches the wheelhouse.
Mages on foot also fires, anything to kill these parasites.
BANG BANG BANG
The fireballs have finally found their targets, but their destruction does not come unchallenged
âThe mana shield! Itâs still works!â A soldier cries out
âWeâre on bought time, people! Kill those scourges!â Yamaâs voices echo throughout the fleet.
Explosions, beams of light, or gunshots might dwindle the scourgesâ numbers, but that is their strength, overwhelming numbers, never ending, relentless assaults.
An insect leg appears on top of the railing of a ship.
âTheyâve reach us!â Another soldier yelled, grabbing his sword and dashing towards it, âDie! You parasites!â
The scourge peers its head over the railing where the soldierâs blade was waiting. He slashes it, splitting its head in half, tainting his sword green.
However, three more peeks over the railing.
âThe shield is almost broken!â Mark said âRose! Board the Dunkirk! Take Furi with you!â
Rose, her tears still stream, got on her feet. Grabbing Furiâs body, and salutes
âI salute you. Captainâ Rose said shakenly, tears painted her face.
Mark turns to face her, stunned. Salutes back.
âGood Luck Lieutenant, you are dismiss.â
Rose turns around, a disappeared into the chaos of battle.
âBrothers in arms, huh?â Paul said, facing Mark
âIndeedâ Mark replied, tightening the grip on his axe. âTo the end-â
An announcement cuts through the chaos, or peace before death.
âAttention, this is Aquaria High Command. The Dunkirk will be recalled. Effective Immediatelyâ
Heads turn towards the massive battleship. Confusion spread among the surviving ranks, many questions thrown around, but the answer will show itself now.
Aboard the Dunkirk, a couple seconds ago
Rose places Furiâs body leaning against the wheelhouseâs walls. She rarely used her mana; her body unfit for using such powerful force.
She coughs blood
âAugh, my body really canât use manaâ she said, stumbling to stand, after some time she finally got on her feet.
Her friends are fighting to the last, people close to her leaving, like before.
âDamn! Why canât people stick with me for longâ She said in frustration, tears pouring from her eyes âDamn it all! Damn it ALL!â
Hitting the railing might not be smart, but it is natural.
She turns to Furi, seeking the last person still here âDonât leave so soon, Furiâ She approaches and sits down, leaning on the railing âIâll show you this worldâs light, although it is cloak in darkness. I promise, just like Mark saidâ
The ship shook, catching her off guard.
âCanât they steer this thing better?â She grumbled
âAttention, this is Aquaria High Command. The Dunkirk will be recalled. Effective Immediatelyâ
âWhat?â Rose got on her feet. Catching the railing. âRecalled? Now? At this time? What about us? What about THEM?â She screams out
Suddenly, it begins to move. Backwards
