Chapter 13 (Rachel’s POV)

Well good morning for the second time in one day.

I must admit the first time I woke up was more pleasant though.

Feeling Mason’s hands all over my body felt amazing.

I have no idea what came over me, but I didn’t want to push him away.

It was probably because I was just to horny at this point.

And since our rooms were situated across from each other there was no way I would even try to pleasure myself.

This house had thin walls!

So here I was, finally at least a bit satisfied and in a good mood.

I remembered what day it was today and why my alarm clock woke me up.

As I looked at it, it was already 7am, so I got showered and ready as fast as I could.

To my surprise it only took me 15minutes.

Since Mason escaped my room after our morning sexy session I went in search of him.

Since we are going to the same company, we could go together.

But as I came to the kitchen I was surprised to find it empty.

Weird.

I tried calling him but got no answer.

What the hell?

He never left the house before 7.30 and now it was only 7.20.

I shrugged my shoulders and went to grab my things and was out the door in minutes.

As I was walking towards Code hack I realized I didn’t even tell my bestie the good news.

I had to fix that.

So I quickly pulled out my phone and sent her a message.

“Hey babes. Just wanted to let you know I got a job. But guess what? It is in the same company where your brother works. But don’t worry I promise to be on my best behaviour and try really hard not to kill him while at work. LOL. Tty later. Ly.”

As I finished my text I lifted my head and realized I was already at the front door of the company.

Let’s get the paperwork taken care of.

It took me nearly 2 hours to take care of all the paperwork. But surprisingly I had no complaints about the contract.

It was put together professionally and to my liking.

What surprised me was my monthly payment though.

It was almost 2 times bigger than in the former company.

But when I asked the HR lady about it she looked at me in shock.

“Miss Bigsby, that’s the lowest salary we can offer you since you are just starting here. But it is also known to be the lowest salary that any employer can offer you looking at your education and position.”

I was speechless.

Because if I understood her words correctly my payment in my former company was practically illegal.

What the hell?

After we finished everything she gave me my pass for every floor in the building and showed me where my office was situated.

It was right next to Aron’s office, but mine had a wider door so I could see anyone that got to our floor and greet them before they got to him.

It was a nice space and quite big as well.

I had two shelves on the right side of the office filled with books of different gender.

On the left side there was a huge flat tv screen mounted on the wall and it displayed our commercials for new products and Aron’s schedule.

It was practical since I wouldn’t have to open it on the computer each time someone called for an appointment with the boss man.

In the middle of the room stood a nice black table with a laptop already on it and a few stacks of paper that I guess needed to be dealt with.

But what held my attention was the view behind the desk.

It overlooked the whole city and I could even see some forest and mountains in the distance.

It was amazing.

“I can see you are admiring the view already.”

Aron’s voice behind me startled me and my hand flew to my chest.

“I am sorry. I didn’t want to startle you, just wanted to see if you are adjusting alright and if you need any help.”

I smiled at him warmly. It was kind of him to take his time to check up on me.

“It’s ok. I was just so lost in the view that I didn’t even hear you enter. I am ok and right now I don’t need any help. But I do want to thank you again for the opportunity you gave me.”

His smile revealed a dimple in his left cheek.

suddenly a voice inside my head taunted me.

Wait what?

Why am I thinking about Mason in that way?

Sure he made me cum this morning but that was it.

We were still hating each other.

I hated his man whoring style and he hated my uptight bitch attitude.

Even though I deny having such an attitude, to be clear.

I returned back to the conversation at hand and realized Aron probably asked me something because he was looking at me intently.

“I am sorry, my mind drifted away for a second. Can you repeat your last question please?”

He chuckled lightly before he answered.

“I knew you would fit right in our team. Your brain works the same way as those from our geeks as they call themselves. I asked you if the contract was acceptable for you, or do we need to fix anything?”

“Oh no. Everything is great. The contract is even more generous than I expected so you won’t hear me complaining. I would have to work for like 10 years in my former company to get such a salary as you offered me.”

He looked at me stunned for a second.

“You must be shitting me right now. Excuse my language but I can’t find a better word. Why would you even work in such a company if they paid so badly?”

I laughed nervously.

“I guess I was just grateful for the chance they took on me right after I finished my degree, and I wasn’t even aware of the fact that they paid me too little.”

He shook his head and murmured under his breath something about bastards that were using their position to bully people.

I had no idea what he meant by it, but I didn’t dwell on it.

“Don’t worry. The salary here will be as stated in the contract and in the 10 years since we became a company it never came to bank accounts late. Also if you ever decide to press any kind of legal charges against your former boss, just let me know. You have full support from our company. Now I have some brunch meetings, so I need to get going. My phone number is on the desktop of your laptop and don’t hesitate to call me if you have any problems or questions. See you later Rachel.”

I just nodded my head and waved him goodbye.

I was still shocked.

I went from a disastrous company to one that so far turned out to be perfect in any aspect possible.

Could it really be this good?

Guess I will just have to wait and see.
