Chapter 3 - Medication
The Ninth Transmigrator and the Eight Impenetrable Kingdoms
Chapter 3 - Medication
Pretty had to go towards the Agricultural Department area and this was one of the paths to reach it. She couldnât risk going backâshe also had no business doing it.
She needed to recharge and rest, and she only had two places in her mind of where to find that, both of them had to pass this gate.
Taking the risk, she made herself invisible again and used her renisas to muffle the sounds sheâd made, wrapping it all over her body.
She sprinted towards the open gate and passed the Summit Soldiers.
She waited for them to make a move, like put up a barricade or something, anything that would prevent her from passing the gate even in her invisible form. But all they did was just stand there and continued chatting with each other, unknowing of her silent passage.
She was dumbfounded.
Were the Summit soldiers this stupid and careless? She didnât believe so.
They were trained in special formative combat quite adeptly, trained to be better than the normal soldier or combatant in the outside world. Even she, with her weak body that couldn't be trained in physical combat, had once taken a similar training despite how she spent it by only watching. She was quite knowledgeable about the level of the Summit soldiers have and this sloppy behavior was strange.
Despite being confused by it, she still continued on her way and headed towards the Agricultural Department.
What lay beyond the gate was a wide expanse of land, with long stretches of farm plots in it and a wide variety of plants and trees. It was quite distinct from the urbanized housing she just went out from.
Along the way, she passed some fields and orchards where the city grew their foods from.
It was basically a huge farm, but with a mixture of traditional and greenhouse farming. One might picture orderly plots of plants and uniform plains of produce but the area around the farm was quite in shambles.
There were a lot of trees and ornamental plants and flowers around, growing without an order as if some drunk farmer decided to sow some seeds in the middle of the night, with no light.
Just like the apple tree that grows in the middle of the road, a row of sunflowers growing in the midst of an eggplant field and bunches of banana trees dotting here and there inside the strawberry field.
In fact, a Summit citizen around fifty years ago had the ability to grow some plants. His life was short but the Summit honored him for his contributions and they took care of all of the random plants he grew. After that, it had become a tradition to randomly plant anywhere in the Agriculture department and some kids thought it was a cool idea to plant a tree in the middle of the road.
After the fields, laid the buildings and the greenhouses of the Agriculture Department.
The buildings were where the research centers and farmerâs residents live, while the greenhouses were where they grew the fresh produce in the city that needed a specific environment. The area was also full of random trees and bushes that could hide her for a moment.
She knew it was a poor hiding spot. But she had no choice. What she was doing now was to bid for time, and for what she didnât even know.
She also didnât have any idea on how to escape the city. Even if she escaped, she knew that she did not have much time to live anyway. That was why she voluntarily entered and infiltrated the city.
She initially did not have any plans going back to this city after she ran away months ago.
After settling everything she needed to do, she just wanted to look for a secluded place and stayed there for the remainder of her life.
She wanted out from this life, from the organization.
But months after she ran away, her father was murderedâin front of her.
She then tried to exact revenge on the organization but with her limited ability, she only caused small chaos here and there, causing the organization to chase her all over the globe for months.
Somehow they always knew where she was. Whether she was in another continent or another country, they were still able to find her location.
She was tired from it but she still bided her time, teaming up with groups and countries that had grudges with the Truth Holderâs Summit, her former secret organization feared from its supernatural operation.

She had taken confidential information from the organization and had given it to their enemies. Information such as organizational relationships, international events that they have a hand in, future developments, as well as the different systems and power that the Summit possessed.
She had also given them all the locations of the branches of the Summit that she knew.
What really angered the Summit was the evidence she gave on how the Summit infiltrated and had access to their classified information. This one she knew better, as this used to be her job.
Little by little she was making progress on bringing down the organization. But it all suddenly changed when her body gave up one day.
It happened one afternoon.
She was lurking in a warehouse with a mysterious book, when she suddenly found herself having a hard time breathing, and then she passed out.
She woke up feeling like she had been ran over by a truck. She did not know what happened to her and she couldnât even find a medical center that could examine her, as her body was different from other people.
Her condition worsened the next few days and she thought she might die from it until she figured out the cause.
Every month, her late father always gave her a pill that was supposed to be a supplement for her body. She never missed taking it before but when her father died, with no one to remind her, and with her not caring, the supposed supplement went out of her mind.
Sick and delirious, she decided to read the letter her father had left her.
She did not want to read it before that, as she felt his death would be final. But in that dying moment, with the expectation that she would die later on, she finally had the courage to read the last message her father left her. But that letter instead stated secrets that she didnât know, as well as the secrets to her body's origin.
She had always wondered why her father stayed in that organization when she had begged him many times to leave with her. The reason apparently was that her father needed her medication and he could only get it from the Summit.
With guilt and remorse, she took the forgotten box of pill that was with her that time and took one from it making her recover almost immediately. But the problem came when she only had one pill left.
She did not know where to get one. She tried to find a way and ask for help from other people but she only met with failure.
Until she did not have any choice anymore but to take the risk and went to the Summit herself. She was going to die in a few days anyway, but she was not going to just sit and wait for her death to come. Desperate, she wanted to look for a solution.
What better place to look for solutions other than the place it was made?
So she snuck to the city, and indeed she found clues of the pills from her father's former office. It was from a secret vault that her and his father only know to access. Inside it was another letter from him.
From the letter, she found out that her father had secretly kept a stash of these pills enough for her to live for a few years.
She also realized then that he sacrificed too much for her and this must be one of the reasons why he was killed. Because he wanted to support her in quitting the organization.
They were not worried about her leaving the Summit because from the start, they knew she had to come back. She was tied to them and the other choice she had was dying.
Prettyâs father, Fredrin, had planned to follow her and quit the organization. He had planned to live a new life for her. She knew he loved his job and the research center that he had always prioritized over her, but he still chose her.
She always thought her father loved the Summit more than her, that was why he never wanted for them to quit the organization. All along it was because of her.
When she left the Summit without her father, she felt so alone and betrayed without knowing her father had sacrificed so much for her, even his passion, to the point that he lost his life, just for her to live and follow her dreams.
She was bawling and sobbing on his fatherâs old office floor that time when the door opened and someone came in. She immediately fled away through the windows but she was already found out.
She quickly went towards the place where his father told her the stash was, but she was surprised when there was nothing there.
She quickly thought it was a trap when a swarm of Summit Soldiers encircled her, the only reason she was able to escape was because she was able to zip out from there, which they did not expect her to do.
The stash was probably taken already by them. She tried to look for it in the Summit but she found nothing. She went to the weaponâs room, rentom storage house and other important facilities in the summit but she did not find anything about her pills.
Along the way, she did not forget to wreak havoc as she went around the Summit.
She destroyed important equipment and weapon systems; and even stole some.
She planned to zipped away from the mountain as the Summit soldiers were keeping on her heels but she stumbled upon a problem.
Now, she looked again above her and focused her renisas in her eyes. What was once a dark sky had now changed into a transparent dome. A white shimmering transparent film seems to be covering the whole mountain.
She had never seen a thing like that before but she had heard of it.
She did not know when they developed it. It has always been a technology that she only heard in the history books of this Summit.
Somehow, they had made an anti-renisas barrier all around the whole mountain.
An anti-renisas barrier was something usually used so that rentom infiltration arts like information invasion rentom arts couldnât infiltrate.
It also warded off gray and white souls.
Humans and objects could still enter it but anything that has renisas in it couldnât. This type of barrier cost a lot of renisas and as she already robbed their whole stash of renboâthat she knew ofâshe did not know how they were keeping the expenditure for this barrier up for more than a day.
They must have another stash that she did not know and if they could still supply it to last for another day or even for a few hours, then she was toast.
She had been banking on her ability to zip from here the moment she found her pills. But by the looks of it, she either has to die looking for it or die staying in this mountain.
Anyway, she decided that if she had to die, she at least had to take the source of her problems with her, the leader of this organization, her uncle.
