The next day, I waited in the schools parking lot for the others to arrive in the hot and humid weather. My hair was in a ponytail with a small braid on the side, and I was wearing a white high waisted skater skirt, a light blue crop top with baby blue vans. Perfect for the weather.
I saw a familiar blue truck pull up into the parking lot, a red hummer behind it, and a black audi not too far behind. Greyson got out of the blue truck, Nixon out of the red hummer, and Sky out of the black audi. As they all walked towards me I gave them a big smile, and we all walked into the school greeted with cool air.
We walked towards my locker and talked until the the bell rang. A heavenly, familiar smell made its way towards my nose. I looked around the hallway of the school trying to find those familiar blue eyes. My eyes finally landed on my mate, who was standing across from us leaning on a locker. My wolf was purring at how gorgeous he looked.
His eyes were bright as he laughed with some of his friends who were surrounding him. The tight white shirt he was wearing clung to his torso showing off his fit ab's. He had a blue flannel over his shirt that showed his muscles with dark blue jeans and white vans.
He must have felt someone's eyes on him because he looked up and my bright blue eyes locked with his dark blue. He smirked at me. I glared at him. I'm still mad at him. His eyes traveled down my body. Making me feel a little naked. His eyes turned dark filled with lust, and now it was my turn to smirk.
"So what's the plan for today?" Nixon asked. He was standing to my left while I had my back against the lockers. Nixon sung an arm over my shoulder, making my eyes avert from Reese.
A familiar growl echoed throughout the hallway. I look up at my mate who was fuming with jealousy as he looked at Nixon with a glare wanting to rip his arm out of its socket for touching me. Nixon looked at where I was looking and glared back at Reese. They hate each other. Star soccer players and all. I pretended I had to tie my shoe to get Nixon's arm off my shoulder.
"Well I convinced Blair to let me throw her a birthday party for today." Sky piped making Grey, Nixon and I turn our attention towards her. She was to my right leaning against the lockers with Grey's arm around her shoulder. He had a little tint of pink on his cheeks. They were definitely flirting.
"A party?" Grey asked me in disbelief. I nodded.
"Sky actually said something that made sense yesterday." I joked as Sky playfully hit me on my shoulder and I laughed while Grey and Nixon chuckled. "Which convinced me. My mom would want me to have a big party." I stated with a big smile.
Grey and Nixon also know why I hate celebrating my birthday. On my birthdays only my closets friends and family come over. We eat junk food, watch movies, and tell funny stories.
"Wait will your dad be okay with it?" Nixon asked.
"He doesn't have to know. He's going to a neighboring pack to help them with a rouge problem. They're always getting past their border patrol." I answered him.
"Did they figure out who burned down the school yet?" Grey asked.
"Nope. Not yet." I informed them.
"Anyways back to the party planning." Sky said while munching on some chips. "Okay so the party is going to be at the Moonlight Club. Starts at 7. Bring anyone you want." She said a little too loud.
Everyone turned to us as they heard the news, and went back to chatting about what they're going to be wearing, and who they're bringing. Great. Dusk Howlers are gonna be there.
"Well Blair we are going to make sure you have the best time of your life at this party." Grey promised as he pulled me towards him and gave me a big hug.
I looked up at Reese hoping he's not seeing this, but to my luck he is and his eyes were black, his jaw clenched. His hands where in fists with blood dripping from them. I pull away from Grey, pretending I had to fix my backpack strap.
"And if you don't I'll buy you chocolate chip muffins for a week." Nixon added with a goofy smile on his face. My face light up at the mention of chocolate chip muffins.
"Deal." I smirked.
I looked back at Reese, who started walking towards us. My eyes widened. What is he doing? Oh moon goddess please let the bell ring. I don't wanna deal with his excuses right now.
I looked at Sky who had a confused look as she noticed Reese walking towards us. She looked at me and shrugged. Nixon and Grey looked at what we were looking at and their faces turned serious, as they stood in front of me. I rolled my eyes.
"What are you doing here?" Grey asked as he stood in front of Sky, and asked Reese in a serious tone.
"Well this is going to be interesting." Sky whispered from behind Grey while munching on something. I turned to face her and she was eating her chips again. I raise my eyebrow at her. She offers me some, which I deny.
"I just wanted to introduce myself to the daughter of Alpha Mason of the Shadow Howlers that's all." Reese simply stated with a smirk on his face. Nixon growled. "Stand down mutt. You don't stand a chance against me."
But of course Nixon being Nixon didn't care, and they glared at each other once again. My wolf rolled her eyes at them.
"Nixon it's fine. He won't hurt me." Because he's my mate. I wanted to say, but I know that everyone will hear since they're staring at us. Sure emotionally he will, but physically I doubt it, or else he'll have two things coming his way. And that is my fists.
I stepped in front of Nixon and Grey and looked up at Reese. He's taller than me. I'm only 5'3 while he's a foot taller than me. All the guys I know are taller than Sky and I.
His dark blue eyes stared deeply into mine. Smirk still in place on his handsome face, while I stared at him with a blank look trying to figure out what he is trying to do.
My wolf was calling out to his, and I couldn't help but want to kiss him, or slap him. Maybe even both. Kiss him because he was standing right in front of me looking so perfect, and slap him because I was still hurt from what he was doing with Casey. My wolf growled at the memory.
"Blair Mason. It's a pleasure to meet Alpha Blane Mason's daughter. The Alpha's only daughter." He smirked while grabbing my hand and kissed it. Sparks went up my arm. I had to bite my lip preventing any noise to come out of my mouth.
"Alpha Reese Elswood. Nice to finally meet you." I smiled as his eyes turned dark at the sound of me saying his name. He was fighting his wolf for control. My smile turned into smirked at the effect I had on him.
"So I was wondering if I can come to this party yo-" He started to say, but got cut off by the bell.
The bell rang. It actually rang. Thank you moon goddess.
I quickly grabbed on to Grey's arm and darted to first period, and took a seat next to each other in the back. There were two other girls sitting in front of us, since the tables were like lab tables and four people could fit. They were giggling and flirting with Grey. Eww.
Reese walked in with a goofy smile and looked at me. Great. He's in my first period. He must have skipped yesterday since I didn't see him in here. His smile dropped once he saw Grey was occupying the seat beside me. He goes and sits next to a dark brown haired guy with light brown eyes, and they started talking.
The bell rings again signaling class is starting.
"Okay class I've made sitting arrangements. So don't get too comfortable." Mrs. Aniston announced. Everyone booed and groaned at the news. "Quite down. It's four to a table. Two boys and two girls. Everyone stand up."
Greyson took hold of my hand and we walked towards the back side of the classroom. Other girls came and flirted with him again. I rolled my eyes.
"Evie Harper." She called out while pointing at the first seat up front facing the window. A really pretty girl with curly brown locks, big brown eyes, and mocha skin walked towards the seat.
"Greyson Wesley." She said while pointing to the chair next to Evie's. He groaned as he walked towards the chair and slumped down.
"Blair Mason." I smiled, happy that I get to sit in front of my best friend. Grey's smile widened as he patted the spot in front of him. I walked over there as I felt Reese's eyes follow my every move. "And Reese Elswood."
My heart beat rose. I heard his feet shuffle towards the spot right beside me as his eyes burned at the back of my head. I didn't dare to turn and look at him.
The sound of chair legs scraping against the floor filled my ears as he took a seat beside me. I had my eyes glued to my hands on my lap as I fiddled with my fingers nervously. His eyes were still on me as Mrs. Aniston finished sitting us down and Grey watched us closely. As if he was trying to figure something out.
"Nervous aren't we?" I heard him whisper in my ear making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I almost shivered at his sexy husky voice. My wolf was jumping up and down as we smelled the delicious scent of our mate.
"Why would I be nervous." I answered him as I finally had the courage to look up at his dark blue hypnotizing eyes. Grey was too busy flirting with Evie to even notice us talking. He put a hand on my thigh. Making me feel hot. My wolf started putting images in my head. 'Calm your horny self down' I told her.
"How about now?" He was so close to me that I could smell his after shave and his minty breath. I couldn't find my voice. I was literally speechless.
Grey growled as he saw Reese's hand on me. Now you notice. He quickly got up from his seat and pulled me behind him. Reese quickly got up too. Grey shoved him making him stumble back a bit. He growled at him back. Not because he shoved him, because Grey pulled me away from him.
"Alpha. Don't do anything that'll cause trouble." Evie warned him as she also stood up and walked towards him. So she was a Dusk Howler. Good to know.
Mrs. Aniston stopped the lecture and everyone looked at us. She wanted to say something, but it seemed like she couldn't find the words to.
I stood in between the two looking at them both. They were glaring at each other ready for one to throw the first punch. Evie looked at me with her dark chocolate eyes telling me to do something. As if she knew that I'll be the only one to calm him down.
I put my hand on Reese's hard tone chest, ignoring the sparks at the touch, and trying to prevent myself from doing anything else. He looked down at my pleading eyes and it was enough for him to sit back down on his seat.
I looked at Grey who wanted to still punch Reese. "Grey." I hissed which he ignored. "Grey. Sit down." I ordered in my alpha voice. He looked down at me and had no choice, but to obey my order. He sat down, and gave one last glare to Reese and turned his attention to Mrs. Aniston.
Evie sat down once she was sure Grey won't do anything to her Alpha. She was ready to protect him. Like a true warrior. Just like Grey.
I turned and looked at Evie, and nodded reassuring her that I'll make sure Grey won't do anything to her Alpha. She gave me a small smile and nodded.
Mrs. Aniston cleared her throat making everyone look at her as she continued her lecture like nothing happened. I took a seat, and put my head down. Why does this have to happen to me.

"What the hell was that." I whispered/yelled at Grey while hitting him on the shoulder multiple times, as we walked towards our lockers to get our books for second period as first period was already over.
"Ow. Women stop hitting me." He pleaded. "I thought he was going to hurt you."
I was angry at Grey. He could've gotten seriously hurt. There were a lot of members of Reese's pack and they wouldn't have hesitated on hurting Grey if he actually did something worse.
"Well he didn't." I stated as we approached our lockers that were side by side. I opened mine and started grabbing my books.
"So I heard what happened during first period." Nixon smirked as he approached us with Sky by his side.
"Grey is your brain not working? Are you trying to start a war between the two packs?" Sky asked as she smacked him on the chest and crossed her arms over her chest. "You could've gotten hurt."
"I thought he was going to hurt her okay. Geez calm down." Grey exclaimed.
"If he was goi-." Nixon stopped mid sentence.
He started sniffing the air and he looked kind of funny. He stepped closer to me and started sniffing me. I looked at him weird, and started smacking him on the head to try to get him to stop.
He shook his head and started to sniff Grey. He tried pushing Nixon away, but he wouldn't budge. We all looked at him weird. What is up with him?
"Why do you smell like raspberries and coconut?" Nixon asked him. "Have you always smelled like that. Are you my mate?" He faked gasped.
"Eww dude no. I was just sitting next to this one girl during first period. Her scent must've gotten on me. Her name is Evie Harper I think. Maybe she's your mate." Grey informed him.
"I'll catch up with you guys later. I've got a mate to find." Nixon hurriedly said as he ran away.
"Why is everyone finding their mate, but me." Sky pouted while crossing her arms.
"Blair and I haven't found our mates. Plus I thought you didn't want one?" Grey asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Actually Bl-" She started to say but she saw me glaring daggers at her. That's the second time Sky. You almost spilling my secret. She faked sneezed. "Bless me."
"Did you just bless yourself?" Grey asked. I looked at her and laughed. Nice save.
"If I don't who else is going to do it." She told him. He looked at Sky with a glint in his eyes, and chuckled while shaking his head.
"Oh Sky. You're something else." I stated as I patted her head. She smiled.
"And I wouldn't mind a mate. Mates are someone your destined to be with your other half. Every time I see my mom and dad together happy, I wouldn't mind having that." She finished answering Grey's question.
"Sky how about we make a pact. If we both don't find your mate before your 25, how about we get married and have a little family of our own." Grey suggested while shrugging, and blushed. Aww. Grey. I knew you've always had a crush on her.
"Deal." Sky agreed happily.
The bell for second period rang and I looked around to see if I can find Nixon since he was in my second period class. I didn't see he anywhere so I just started walking to my second period class alone after waving bye to Grey and Sky, who were already walking away with Grey's hand on her back. I smiled. So cute.
"Hey." A new voice with a hint of a Spanish accent said from beside me as I walked to second period. It was the same guy from my first period. The one with light brown eyes and dark hair that was talking to Reese. He's kinda cute. My wolf growled at what I said. 'It was just an observation' I told her. "You're Blair right."
I nodded while giving him a confused look.
"How do you know who I am?" I asked him.
"You're the notorious Alpha Blane's daughter how does no one know who you are. Also Reese talks about you none stop." He commented. My heart fluttered and I smiled. He talks about me. "I'm Cruz Solano by the way. Reese's Beta." He introduced himself.
"Did Reese send you to keep an eye on me?" I asked. He nodded. I rolled my eyes. Of course he did.
"Reese also wanted me to tell you to save a dance for him at this party of yours." He revealed as we walked into our second period class which was Maths. Yay. A seniors favorite class.
There were butterflies in my stomach at the thought of Reese and I dancing together. Closely. Sweaty. Slowly. Oh my moon goddess I'm such a perv.
