Chapter 2

She drove off to the airport along with her new family. A few  cars followed behind with bodyguards. The whole ride she was trying to control her tears, biting her lips while he was busy doing something on his phone ignoring the crying woman beside him. Once they reach the airport, they move towards the private area where the private jet which is owned by bhanushali is waiting for them.

It was all new to Siya, she never sat on an aeroplane let alone a private jet. She walks trying to match the big steps her husband is taking as her pallu is still tied with his shawl.

She ascended the stairs along with her husband who had a blank expression on his face.

The view inside the jet awestruck her, being rich has its own perks in it. She walked behind her husband not knowing what to do. She didn't see any other family members except Dada, dadi, father and mother of the groom. Nor did the other members attend the other pre rituals or wedding.

Only human of her age is her husband and sticking to him is better than breathing the same air as the in-laws.

He walks into a compartment with Siya following him behind. He removes the shawl from his shoulders and throws it at her and her quick reflex helps her to catch it.

He sits on the seat which seems like a couch and closes his eyes, placing his legs on the table in front of him while his arm is resting on his eyes.

She glances here and there not knowing what to do, finding a seat beside him she places herself on it.

Sighing she rests her head on the headrest of the couch, her face clearly shows the tiredness her body  is feeling. Preparing for a wedding in one week is quite difficult.

'I'm hungry' she wants to say this loudly but the encounter she had with him in the car a few minutes ago is still lingering in her mind.

She closes her eyes wanting to have a little power nap but the slight skin contact made her eyes jerk open. Looking down she found him tying her seatbelt when his fingers slightly brushed on her naked waist.

'His touch still feels warm'

The plane moves, increasing her heartbeat, unknowingly she quickly grabs his biceps, closing her eyes tightly.

'Ganpati bappa morya'

He gazes at her hands which are tightly fisting his biceps until she loosens the hold on it.

'Her touch still affects me'

"Wow" her voice breaks the chain of his thoughts, tilting his head he looks at his wife whose eyes were fixed outside the window looking at the beautiful clouds admiring it. Sunsets never disappoint us.

While she was  admiring the sky , he was admiring his world, Siya.

The plane reaches the Delhi Airport landing safely. All the members climb down the aeroplane while the workers are taking down the luggage.

"Aarti ki thali leke aao"  Gayatri says to a worker as soon as they reach the BHANUSHALI mansion.

Soon a worker brings a plate filled with vermillion box , diya and a few flower petals. Gayatri applies the vermillion on the forehead of both bride and groom , showering the petals she did the Aarti.

Reyansh and Siya bend down and touch her feet, taking her blessings.

"Just because you married my grandson doesn't Mean I accept you as the daughter-in-law of bhanushali"  her harsh voice rang in the silent atmosphere.

"But you have to,"  Vikram, Grandfather of reyansh, said and no one has the audacity to go against the great Vikram bhanushali.

Gayatri kept quite knowing very well that arguing with her husband is a waste of time. His single glare would shut her up completely.

Siya kicked the jar filled with rice, making the grains scatter on the ground,  marking her entry as the daughter-in-law of BHANUSHALI.

She dipped her feets on the plate filled with red colour and entered inside the mansion.

"Welcome to your new home bhabhi" an excited voice filled her ears making her tilt her head to the side, there stood a boy smiling at her. The only family member who smiled at her, her devar SUNANSH BHANUSHALI.

She never met his family other than avyansh and her inlaws in the wedding so searching for them on Google was fruitful. It was not quite hard  finding the information about bhanushali on the internet.

She gasped when sunansh touched her feet making her take a few steps back.

"Sunansh, don't"  not liking the idea of him touching her feet she quickly denies him.

"Aapko Mera naam Pata hai?" This question made her tongue tied. She can't tell him that she stalked them.

"I-" before she could answer him, a girl comes and hugs her.

"You look so beautiful" the girl compliments her after breaking the hug.

Siya looks at her confused, it seems the internet doesn't give full information.

"Thik thak hi to dikhti hai, tumhe kahan se sundar lagi"   Her mother-in-law, Suman comments.

It hurts, someone pointing out your insecurities.

Growing up Siya always felt insecure about herself even though her father used to cheer her up but the taunts and body shaming of the world always overpowered positive thoughts. The world never made her feel beautiful until he came into her life.

She blinked her eyes, controlling her tears. Suman is the same as her mother.

"Nobody asked your opinion"  her head snapped towards the familiar voice she heard after years.

Avyansh, her avy. Seeing him after so many years she wanted to take him in a tight hug, she missed him so much.

"Let them rest," Vikram spoke, making all other members agree with him.

Reyansh walks away, the shawl which was kept on his shoulder  during grah pravesh falls down on the ground. She looks at his back until he disappears in one of the corridors.

"Chaliye bhabhi Mai aapko leke chalti hu" the same girl who hugged her spoke. Siya gave her a small smile while picking up the shawl from the ground.

Siya walks with Soumya, she just came to know her name. They reach the left end of the big hall and climb the stairs heading towards the reyansh's  room.

"What black magic you did that reyansh bhaisaab agreed to marry  you"  Soumya stated, even though her tone was friendly other people would have thought this as a harmless joke but Siya knew the hidden weight behind her words.

'Nimbo Katke bathroom me rakha tha'

Siya really wanted to give her a reply but again she just gave a small smile. After a few turns she finally is standing in front of his room.

"We have thick walls here unlike the thin walls  in your house so  you can make as much noise as you want, We can't hear you"  Soumya giggled herself after completing her words and walked away.

Siya stood there clutching the shawl in her hands tightly. Knocking on the door She waited for a few seconds but no response. Again repeating her actions she waited for a few more seconds.

'Ganpati bappa morya'

With that she pushed the door of his room and entered inside. His manly scent fills her nostrils, she looked left and right in search of him not finding him inside her release her breath which she didn't even know she was holding.

His room is spacious, maybe her whole house would fit inside his room. She lived in a 1bhk flat where her whole family used to sleep in a single room. Even though it was small, she built so many good memories with her baba. She misses her home, she misses her baba. It's not even been  a day and here she is already missing her father.

The room has two doors connected to it. She walks towards the door, opening the first door. She found that it was a washroom and another door had a walking closet making her jaw drop on the ground.

'Magnificent'

Everything in this room screams the differences between him and her. She can never match his standard.

She takes a few steps reaching the bed which was placed in the other end of the room beside a huge window where he can see the night sky clearly.

Opening her suitcase which was placed beside the bed she rummaged her hands inside the luggage trying to find her phone.

Once her hand gets a hold of the device she smiles looking at the missed calls of her father. Quickly unlocking the phone she called back her baba and within a second he picked up the call as if he was waiting for her to call.

"Bala" hears the cracked voice of her father indicating he has been crying.

"Baba  please don't cry"  Siya bites her lips fighting the urge to not break down in front of her father.

"I'm not crying bala. Anyways, did you eat" he asked sniffling.

"Did you eat?" Siya asked back, knowing very well that her father must have been starving himself. He couldn't swallow a grain until seeing his Gudiya and feeding her the first bite of his food.

"Y..yes I just ate but did you eat"  liar.

"I know you are lying baba" she accused,  making him laugh.

"You know me really well," Siya giggled after hearing him.

"I kept something for you in the bag and I know you didn't eat your food so before going to bed eat your dinner and change into comfortable clothing and take a rest bala. I'll call you tomorrow, take a rest" he finished his sentence in a single breath.

"But ba—" he cut off her words, adding.

"I will eat my dinner, don't worry about me"  he says and hangs up the call before wishing her Goodnight.

Siya sighs clutching the shawl more tightly, she feels uncomfortable. Not knowing if it is because of the outfit she is wearing or because of the people she is going to stay with or because of seeing Reyansh after so many years. She herself is unknown to the reason.

She takes out her night kurti wanting to change into comfortable clothes but then she remembers the thing her baba spoke about.

'I kept something in your bag'

She searched inside her bag and found a plastic cover which had something inside it. Taking it out she found a tiffin box inside it and an idol of Ganesh wrapped in newspaper.

She smiled, smelling the same aroma from the tiffin her father packed for her.

'Sheera'

Aate ka halwa, her favourite sweet dish. Her father always used to cheer her up by making her favourite sweet.

She opens the tiffin and stuffs a spoonful of halwa in her mouth. Although it became cold, the taste of the halwa made by her father can never be compared with anything.

Her eyes get moistened while chewing the food. She misses her baba so much. The thought about not getting to see her baba everyday made her heart sank.

'Why do girls have to leave everything behind, why'

She wipes her tears harshly with the back of her hand again stuffing her mouth with halwa. She surely is hungry.

After finishing the food she drinks water which was kept on the side table. She keeps the tiffin on the same table and takes a few steps reaching the dressing table which is placed in the middle of the room and a study table is placed a few metres away from the dressing table making the bed, dressing table and study table lie in a single line.

His room was simple yet elegant, not many paintings or artificial things are decorated in his room. His room was decorated with grey and black colour matching his personality and colour of his eyes, grey. The same eyes which drove her crazy.

She removed her earrings, bangles, Mundavalya, anklets and other ornaments adorning her body. She sighs in relief feeling all the weight of the jewelleries wash off her body. She removes the pins from her hair trying to free her hairs.

'How many dozen of pins do I have in my hair'

She groaned in annoyance, after removing the last pin She let her hair fall free on her back  which reaches till the waist. She never liked long hair but her mother never allowed her to cut her hair above her waist.

She takes off her makeup with the tissue paper adding a few drops of makeup remover on it. She again walks towards the bed and unties his shawl which was tied with her end of the saree.

After removing the safety pin from her shoulders She let her pallu fall down on the ground. Now she removes the pins from her saree, finally unwrapping her saree. She stands in her underskirt and blouse.

She tries to unhook her blouse from behind, sliding her hair to the front from her shoulders. Her mother used to help her with these things as she was a teacher. She wore a saree most of the time.

For the first time in her life She wants her mother beside her and helps with this thing. She flinched hard when rough fingers brushed her back. Her breath hitched finding him so close to her.

She was so busy unhooking her blouse that she didn't notice the opening of the door and her husband entered the room. His eyes stuck at her hands which were struggling to unhook the buttons.

He stared at her back for a good few minutes contemplating whether to help her or not. Looking at her after so many years, his heart felt heavy.

He had to marry her, he had to fulfil his promise he gave to his Grandfather. The one thing his Grandfather believes is 'never break your promises' and he had to fulfil it.

Seeing her after so many surely made his feelings more strong than before. He has not seen his Siya for more than a decade. Only he knows how he survived every single minute without her.

But remembering the deeds she did, he wanted to hate her, loath her but his heart couldn't.

His heart still beats for her.

When he saw her wedding attire he was awestruck looking at her beauty. Green colour is made for her.

He wanted to say so many things to her but her silence, silenced his thoughts. He thought she was forced into this marriage. He wanted to ask her but whenever he looks at her, the flashback plays in his mind making him angry.

He felt guilty for shouting at her inside the car but his ego was not letting him apologise to her. He never liked seeing tears in her eyes, it always made his heart clench even back then even now.

It took so much effort for him to trust someone, love someone but leaving his insecurities he slashed off the walls around his heart, making her enter in his heart but she did the same thing which he was afraid of.she broke his trust, she broke him.

He breaks the chain of his thoughts and walks towards her, he unhooks her blouse and unties the strings of her blouse before backing away dashing off to the washroom.

Siya stilled in her place, her eyes filled with tears finding her reyansh so close to her after so many years. She wanted to hide in his arms like she did back then, she wanted to cry on his shoulders like she did before but now everything's changed. The time, the relation between them and her reyansh.

She takes off her blouse and wears the kurti and pyjama after removing the underskirt.

She keeps her saree on the chair and closes her suitcase placing it at a corner of the room. She waits for him sitting on the bed not because she wants to talk to him but because she wants to use the washroom.

He comes out after a few minutes wearing black sweatpants and a t-shirt. Drying his hair with a small towel hanging around his neck.

Siya stares at him, his features become more sharp. Prominent jawline, thin lips, straight nose, damp hair with trimmed beard which suits him making him look more handsome and more manly. Lastly his grey eyes, which held hate for her. The reason, she wanted to know. Why did he leave her like a used toy, why did he break her heart, why did he do this.

"Why" she asks In whispers but in the silent room her voice came out loud. Her black eyes filled with tears stared at his grey orbs which held nothing.

He raises his eyebrows asking the real question behind her words.

'Why did you never come back to me, why did you leave me. Why am I seeing you after so many years?'

She bites her lips wanting to yell at him but she seals her lips lowering her lashes. She enters the bathroom pushing him aside. Closing back the door She breathes heavily controlling her tears.

'Don't cry Siya, you are strong'

She runs towards the basin opening the tap and  washes her face, washing off her tears. She wanted to shower but she was too tired to change her dress again. Her head was aching from crying too much.

She cleans her face with the towel and comes out of the washroom. Seeing Reyansh sitting on the couch she walks towards the bed wanting to sleep.

Climbing on the bed she covers herself inside the blanket. Just as she was about to close her eyes she heard his voice.

"Siya" his voice was gentle, the same way he used to call her. Her heart skipped a beat hearing her name from his mouth after many years.

"I'm tired" with that she closed her eyes. She didn't lie to him. She is tired, really tired from everything.

He wanted to ask her if she was forced into this marriage, he felt idiot for not asking this earlier before but if she wanted to be free from this marriage he was ready to let her go like he did years ago.

Just like that both slept with their heavy hearts who wanted answers to their questions but their minds didn't allow them to do so.

The wedding night of Siya and reyansh.

This story will go in slow pace until certain events takes place so please be patient.
