I was trying to write this chapter whole function instead of enjoying. I didn't dance, I didn't talk to my newly married sister.
I mean I gave more priority to this chapter. But still I couldn't write much. I just finished writing and posted it. I tried to make less mistakes. If you find any, please correct me in your brain, or try to ignore, I am really sorry for this.

Reyansh's POV
The sun streamed through the window, casting a warm glow in my room. I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting my collar for the umpteenth time.
Lunch with Noor was finally happening. The thought of seeing her made my heart do a little dance, but I couldn't quite figure out why she affected me so much.
Maybe it was her smile, or the way she could turn a mundane day into something electric. Whatever it was, I was nervous.
I shot her a quick text with the restaurant details before heading downstairs. The house was strangely quiet.
"Mom?" I called, peeking into the living room.
"In the kitchen!" she replied, her voice cheerful as always.
I found her arranging some flowers in a vase. "Where is everyone?" I asked, furrowing my brow.
She looked up, a hint of amusement in her eyes. "Your father and grandfather are at the office, and Rohan left early this morning. Something about meeting friends."
"Of course he did." I sighed, rolling my eyes. I was just thankful I wouldn't have to deal with his teasing today.
"I have some work, I'll be back by evening," I said, grabbing my keys.
"Take care, dear!" she called after me with that sweet smile of hers.
I nodded and slipped out the door.
The engine roared to life as I climbed into my luxury car.
The leather seats enveloped me, a comforting hug of sorts. As I drove, I noticed a tiny shop on the corner and decided to stop.
A small chocolate hamper for Noor wouldn't hurt, right? I grabbed the box, imagining her face when she saw it.
It was cute, but not too over the top-just like her.
Pulling into the parking lot of the restaurant, I realized I had arrived a bit early. Perfect. I took a seat at the table, glancing around, feeling a rush of nerves mixed with eagerness. Breathe, Reyansh. It's just lunch.
Fifteen minutes ticked by like molasses, each second stretching longer than the last. Then, finally, I spotted her.
Noor was approaching, and she looked stunning in her knee-length off-shoulder white frock. Her hair danced in the breeze, and that light blush on her cheeks made her look even more adorable.
I was lost in admiration until I noticed a familiar figure trailing behind her. My stomach sank.
Rohan.
"Hey!" they both chirped, sliding into the seats opposite me.
"Hey," I managed, though my voice came out more like a grumble. "What's Rohan doing here?"
Noor shrugged, her smile still bright. "We were just wandering around and got hungry. I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to have Rohan join us."
"Great, just great," I muttered under my breath. Rohan was my younger brother, but he had a knack for stealing attention effortlessly.
I forced a smile, gesturing for them to sit and trying not to focus on the way they chatted so easily, laughter bubbling between them like a refreshing soda.
"So, Bhai," Rohan said, leaning back in his chair, "how's the grumpiest math professor in town doing?"
I shot him a glare. "I'm just fine, thank you for asking. How's the jet-setter? Did London change you or do you still insist on wearing socks with sandals?"
He laughed, hands raised in mock surrender. "No socks, I promise! Just trying to bring a bit of fun back home."
"Fun, huh?" I replied, arching an eyebrow, trying to mask my irritation. I wanted to roll my eyes, but Noor's laughter was contagious.
I found myself chuckling despite the jealousy gnawing at me. The conversation flowed, but I felt like an outsider in my own little lunch.
Every time Noor threw her head back in laughter, my heart sank a little lower. I tried to engage, but my thoughts kept drifting back to that stupid chocolate hamper sitting beside me.
After lunch, I paid the bill, trying to ignore the way Rohan and Noor exchanged whispers and giggles.
I fished out the chocolate hamper from my bag and handed it to Noor. "Here, I thought you might like this."
She looked at it, her brow furrowing slightly. "You know, I still haven't forgiven you, Sir."
I blinked, stunned. "What?"
She smirked, leaning in closer. "I came for lunch mainly because it saved Rohan and me some money. So, thanks for that!"
My jaw dropped. "You came for a free meal? Seriously?"
"Hey, it's a perk!" she said, laughing. Rohan joined in, and I felt like I was stuck in a comedy sketch with two playful jesters.
"Alright, I see how it is. I'll just charge you both double next time," I quipped, trying to mask the sting of rejection.
"Good luck with that!" Rohan laughed, standing up. "You can't even get a date, let alone charge for lunch!"
"Shut up, Rohan!" I shot back, but my heart wasn't in it.
Noor stood, her frock swirling as she grabbed Rohan's arm. "Let's go! I need to show Rohan the new café downtown. Maybe he'll be less boring than you!"
They both waved goodbye, Noor's laughter trailing behind them like a melody.
I stood there, staring after them as they left the restaurant, the weight of disappointment settling heavily on my shoulders.
"Great," I muttered to myself, running a hand through my hair. "Just great."
As I walked to my car, the chocolate hamper felt heavier in my hands. I tossed it into the passenger seat, my mind racing.
Why did I let Rohan's presence bother me so much? It was just lunch. Just a casual meal with friends.
But the way Noor looked at him, the way her laughter seemed to come alive around him-it stung more than I cared to admit.
I started the engine, the vibrations of the car matching the turmoil in my chest. I needed to figure this out.
Maybe I was just overthinking everything. I was a professor, for crying out loud! I should be able to handle a little jealousy.
But as I drove home, the shadows of doubt lingered. Would I ever find a way to break through the walls I had built, or would I keep watching from the sidelines while Rohan swooped in and stole the spotlight?
"Ugh!" I groaned, gripping the steering wheel. "Life is absurd."
And in that moment, I realized I had to do something. I couldn't keep letting Rohan and Noor's friendship dictate how I felt.
No more being the grumpy professor in the corner. I needed to step up my game.
Noor's POV
The mirror reflected my anxious excitement as I adjusted the pleats of my pink saree, the fabric hugging my curves just right.
I tugged at the edges, making sure the drape was perfect, but it was the soft hum of my heart racing that truly set the tone for the evening ahead. The saree was a bold choice, but I felt like a queen.
Today was my fresher's party, and I couldn't wait to dive into the chaos of college life.
"Okay, Noor, you can do this," I whispered to myself, smoothing down the fabric one last time.
Memories of last week flooded back-Rohan, my childhood friend, and I had spent hours binge-watching movies and laughing over old jokes.
I smiled at the thought, my heart fluttering in a way that had nothing to do with nerves.
"Hey, hurry up! We're going to be late!" My phone buzzed, pulling me from my thoughts. I rushed out the door, my mind racing with excitement.
As soon as I reached the college gate, I spotted Arushi and Aarav. Arushi looked stunning in her red saree, her dark hair cascading down her shoulders like a waterfall, while Aarav stood next to her in a crisp white kurta, looking every bit the handsome brother.
"Wow, Arushi! You look like a Bollywood diva!" I exclaimed, spinning around to take in her outfit.
She blushed, tucking a stray hair behind her ear. "Thanks, Noor! And you-you're making pink look like the new black!"
"Yeah, I'm practically a fashion icon," I joked, striking a pose. We all laughed, the sound echoing through the campus, a bright contrast to the serious atmosphere of the day.
"Let's go! I can't wait to show off our moves!" Aarav pumped his fist in the air, and I felt a surge of adrenaline rush through me.
The auditorium was alive with energy as we entered, filled with colorful decorations and buzzing students. The performances were a whirlwind of talent and laughter, each act drawing cheers and applause. I could feel the anticipation building as it neared our turn.
"Okay, Arushi, remember what we practiced. Just have fun!" I said, trying to encourage her. She was visibly nervous, biting her lip as she watched the clock tick down.
"Easy for you to say, you're not the one about to trip over your own feet!" she replied, half-laughing, half-sighing.
"Hey! If you trip, just make it look like a dance move," I winked at her, and she rolled her eyes but smiled.
Finally, it was our time. As we moved backstage, the curtains closed around us, creating a bubble of nerves and excitement. "You ready?" Aarav asked, glancing at us both.
"Ready as I'll ever be!" I grinned, though inside I was a bundle of nerves.
The curtains lifted, and suddenly we were on stage, the lights bright and hot against my skin.
The music started, and I lost myself in the rhythm, letting my body sway freely.
I could feel Aarav and Arushi beside me, their energy infectious. It felt like we were flying, the audience's cheers lifting us higher.
"Woohoo!" someone shouted from the crowd, and I caught a glimpse of the faces beaming up at us.
(Their dance performance)
The hooting intensified as Aarav joined our dance, and we all moved in sync, laughter bubbling up as we playfully bumped into one another.
As the performance wrapped up, we rushed backstage, breathless and euphoric. "We killed it!" I exclaimed, collapsing onto a nearby bench, laughter spilling from my lips.
"Are you kidding? I think I pulled a muscle," Arushi panted, fanning herself dramatically.
Aarav smirked, "You mean you were just trying to outshine us, right?"
"Of course! I'm the star here!" she shot back, and we all cracked up again.
Then, it was my turn for a solo performance. My stomach twisted with a mix of excitement and nerves. "Alright, I've got this," I whispered to myself as I made my way on stage.
The spotlight hit me as I stepped out, and there he was-Crocodile Malhotra, the grumpy math professor, sitting in the front row.
His black tuxedo made him look undeniably handsome, and my breath caught for a moment.
His shirt was casually unbuttoned at the top, a confident smirk playing on his lips. I tried to shake off the distraction and focus on my dance.
I let the music take over, my body moving fluidly as I stole glances at him.
(Her dance performance, but ignore the other girl please. I couldn't find perfect video)
He was watching, a mix of amusement and intrigue in his dark eyes. I twisted and twirled, the audience's cheers blurring into a soft hum, but his gaze was a constant weight on my shoulders.
I couldn't help but smile mid-performance; he was a puzzle wrapped in a tuxedo.
As I spun around, I caught his eye again. He mouthed something, but I was too caught up in the music to decipher it.
The performance ended, and I was practically glowing from the applause. I returned to my friends, who were already beaming with pride.
"You were amazing!" Arushi squealed, hugging me tightly.
"Thanks! But did you see Crocodile?"
"I think he was impressed!" Aarav said, nudging me with a grin.
"Or he was laughing at your dance moves," Arushi teased, her eyes twinkling with mischief.
"Shut up! I'll have you know I was graceful like a gazelle!"
"More like a gazelle that tripped over its own legs," Aarav chimed in, laughing.
"Okay, okay! You guys are brutal!" I said, rolling my eyes but unable to suppress my smile.
Soon, I was called back on stage to receive the title of Miss Fresher's. The moment felt surreal as I walked up, the audience cheering for me.
And there was Crocodile, clapping and smiling, looking far too charming for my own good.
I took the badge and returned to my friends, my heart racing from the excitement and a bit of exhaustion.
"Miss Fresher's! Can you believe it?" Arushi exclaimed, her excitement infectious.
"Honestly, I'm just glad I didn't trip," I said, plopping down on a chair.
My body felt heavy, and I could already feel the fatigue setting in.
The afterparty began, and the auditorium transformed into a dance floor, lights flashing and music pumping.
I lost myself in the rhythm, my worries melting away as I moved with my friends. Laughter echoed around us, the joy of the night wrapping us in a warm embrace.
"Hey, Miss Fresher!" Crocodile's voice cut through the music, and I turned to see him approaching, a drink in hand.
"Congratulations. You danced well."
"Thanks, Professor," I said playfully, trying to hide my nervousness. "I didn't know you were a fan of college parties."
"I'm not," he replied, though his tone was light. "But I have to admit, you surprised me tonight."
"What, you thought I'd just stand there and be boring?" I challenged, crossing my arms.
"Maybe," he smirked, and my heart raced.
"Well, I'm full of surprises," I shot back, feeling bold.
"Noted," he said, raising an eyebrow. "So, what's next for the reigning Miss Fresher?"
"Maybe a dance-off with you?" I proposed, half-joking.
He chuckled, a low, rumbling sound that sent shivers down my spine. "You really think you can out-dance me? I'm a math professor; I have rhythm."
"Oh, please! Math and dance are not the same!" I laughed, the tension easing between us.
"Care to prove it?" he challenged, and I felt a thrill of adrenaline.
"Alright, let's go!" I declared, pulling him to the center of the makeshift dance floor.
As the music pumped, we began to move. I twisted and turned, throwing in every silly move I could think of, while he countered with his own surprisingly fluid motions.
The crowd started to cheer, and I couldn't help but laugh at the ridiculousness of it all. Many students and teachers joined us.
(Imagine their performance something like this as i couldn't find perfect video)
"See? I told you I could out-dance you!" I shouted over the music, breathless and exhilarated.
"Don't get too cocky, Miss Fresher," he replied, his eyes glinting with mischief as he spun me around.
Just then, the music shifted to a slow song, and the crowd began to sway. He stepped closer, his expression shifting from playful to serious. "Care to dance?"
"Are you asking me to slow dance?" I asked, my heart racing.
"Is that a problem?" he replied, a hint of challenge in his voice.
"No, it's just... unexpected," I admitted, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves.
"Just go with it," he said softly, guiding me into the slow rhythm.
The world faded away, and it was just the two of us under the soft glow of lights, surrounded by laughter and music. I could feel the warmth radiating from him, and I was surprised at how comfortable I felt in his presence.
"You know, you're not as grumpy as I thought," I said, teasing him gently.
He chuckled, his eyes flickering down to mine. "And you're not as chaotic as I expected."
"Touché," I smiled, feeling the connection between us deepen.
As the song ended, I was surprised at how much I didn't want to let go. But the moment broke as a teach6 called him away.
"Duty calls," he said reluctantly, his voice a little softer. "But I'll see you around, Miss Fresher."
"Yeah, see you!" I waved, feeling a spark of something new and exciting.
As the night wore on, I found myself laughing and dancing with my friends, the thrill of the evening still coursing through me. But in the back of my mind, I couldn't shake the thought of Reyansh-a grumpy professor who had somehow managed to bring a spark to my chaotic world.
"Let's get out of here," I finally said to Arushi and Aarav, feeling the weight of the night beginning to settle in.
"Agreed!" Aarav said, stretching again. "We've had enough excitement for one night."
As we walked out, I glanced back at the auditorium one last time. The laughter, the dancing, the unexpected moments-all of it felt like a beautiful beginning. And as I thought of him, I couldn't help but smile, wondering what surprises were waiting for me in the days to come.
Reyansh's POV
The crisp fabric of my tuxedo itched against my neck, a small price to pay for looking dashing, or so I'd been told.
I adjusted the my collar, a skill I'd mastered over the years of attending countless formal events, and sighed.
As a mathematics professor, I, Reyansh Malhotra, had grown accustomed to such gatherings, but that didn't make me any less grumpy about them.
Yet, here I was, at the fresher's party, trying to blend into the vibrant atmosphere of the college auditorium.
The energy in the room was palpable, a buzzing excitement that seemed to infect the students. I observed the young men and women, their faces glowing with youthful enthusiasm, a stark contrast to my own seasoned demeanor.
My eyes scanned the crowd, momentarily pausing on a group of boys who were perhaps a little too enthusiastic, their hoots and hollers echoing through the auditorium.
And then I saw her. Noor Sharma, a name I'd only heard in passing, but a vision I'd never forget. She was a burst of color in a sea of black and white, her pink saree draping gracefully over her youthful curves.
The fabric seemed to come alive as she moved, chatting animatedly with her friends, her laughter like a melody that pulled me in.
Her long, dark hair fell in soft waves, framing her face, and her eyes sparkled with mischief. There was an air of chaos around her, a delightful disruption in the otherwise formal setting.
As if sensing my gaze, she glanced in my direction, and I quickly averted my eyes, feeling a flush of embarrassment. I wasn't one to stare, but something about her captivated me.
I found myself leaning forward, eager to witness her every move. The auditorium lights dimmed, signaling the start of the performances, and my focus intensified.
She took the stage with her friends, their synchronized movements a testament to their camaraderie. But it was Noor who commanded my attention.
Her dance was a fluid expression of joy, each step a whisper of her untamed spirit. The saree, far from being a hindrance, became an extension of her, swirling and swaying with her every move.
Was I drooling over her???
A big Yes, a little No!!
I found myself leaning forward even more, my eyes fixed on her, forgetting the crowd around me.
As the performances concluded, the emcee's voice boomed through the auditorium, announcing the solo performances. "And now, putting her best foot forward, Miss Noor Sharma!"
My heart skipped a beat. I wanted to capture this moment, to relive her dance, but I knew better.
I discreetly handed my phone to a nearby student, a young man who looked eager to help. "Record her performance," I muttered, my voice gruff. "And make sure no one notices."
The boy nodded, his eyes wide with curiosity, but he didn't question my request. I sat back, a proud smirk playing on my lips as Noor took center stage.
The music began, a sensuous melody that matched the fire in her eyes. She moved with a confidence that belied her age, every gesture oozing with grace and sensuality.
The saree's pleats fanned out as she spun, the fabric a blur of motion, and I found myself holding my breath.
As she danced, her eyes scanned the audience, and our gazes locked. In that moment, I felt a jolt of electricity course through me. Her eyes narrowed slightly, a challenge in them, and she spun away, her laughter echoing in my mind. "Fxck bhnchxd kya ladki hai" I whispered under my breath.
(Damn it, what a girl!!)
The auditorium erupted in applause as her performance concluded, and I joined in, my hands stinging from the enthusiastic clapping.
She took a bow, her smile radiant, and I felt a strange sense of pride. She was a force to be reckoned with, and I couldn't help but admire her spirit.
"And the title of Miss Fresher's goes to... Miss Noor Sharma!" The emcee's voice boomed, and the auditorium exploded in cheers. I stood, applauding along with the crowd, my heart swelling with a peculiar mix of emotions.
As the party wound down, I made my way through the crowd, determined to offer my congratulations to the newly crowned Miss Fresher's.
After having a talk with her I danced with her. Yes you heard it right i danced. It was fun actually.
The cool night air greeted me as I stepped outside, and I took a moment to gather my thoughts. Noor, I mused. A name I won't be forgetting anytime soon.
With these thoughts I drove off to home and after having dinner with my family I went upstairs to my room. Her thoughts were still bothering me.
Okay okay not bothering but I was smiling at her thoughts.
Next day in evening, after a particularly intense study session, we found ourselves alone in the library as She had some doubts.
The silence between us was heavy with unspoken words. I watched as Noor's fingers traced the edge of the table, her eyes downcast, a rare moment of vulnerability.
"You know, Sir, I..." Her voice trailed off, and she looked up at me, her eyes searching.
I leaned forward, closing the distance between us. "Yes, Noor?" My voice was soft, urging her to continue.
Her lips parted slightly, and in that moment, I knew I had to act on the desire that had been simmering beneath the surface. I gently cupped her face, my thumb brushing against her soft skin.
"Sir..." She whispered my title, a mix of surprise and desire in her eyes.
I silenced her with a kiss, my lips claiming hers with a hunger that had been building for months. Her initial shock melted away, and she responded with a fervor that matched my own.
As we pulled apart, breathless, I saw a mix of emotions in her eyes-surprise, excitement, and a hint of uncertainty. "Sir, I..."
"Shh..." I placed a finger on her lips, silencing her. "Let's not complicate this with words, Noor. Just feel."
And feel we did, in the quiet solitude of the library, our passion igniting a fire that would change the course of our lives. I was about to press my lips against hers but stopped when I heard my alarm.
I woke up and found myself on bed. I stopped the alarm and looked at time and it showed 5am.
What the actual heck??
Was I dreaming a kiss with her??
"Fuck." I groaned.
I'm whipped. Oh godd!!!
