Noor's POV
The evening air was thick with the scent of blooming jasmine, a soft breeze rustling through the leaves of the trees that adorned the garden.
I could feel the warmth of Reyansh's hand enveloping mine, our fingers intertwined as we strolled along the cobblestone path.
The vibrant colors of the flowers swayed gently in the twilight, creating a canvas of beauty around us, but it was his presence that painted my world in shades of happiness.
We fell into a comfortable silence, the kind that was filled with unspoken words and lingering glances.
I turned to him, my heart racing as our eyes met. The world blurred around us, and all I could see was Reyansh.
"Do you ever think about... us?" I whispered, the question hanging in the air like a delicate thread.
He paused, his expression softening. "Every day, Noor. It's like... you're a constant in my mind. I can't escape it, nor do I want to."
My breath caught in my throat, a flutter of hope igniting within me. "Really?"
"Really," he affirmed, stepping closer, our bodies almost touching. "You have no idea how much you mean to me."
In that moment, everything else faded away. I leaned in, my heart pounding, and captured his lips with mine.
The kiss was tentative at first, a question lingering between us, but as Reyansh's hands found my waist, it deepened-passionate, yet smooth, like a soft summer rain.
My cheeks flared with warmth as we finally broke apart, breathless.
"I-" I stammered, my cheeks a rosy hue. "I like you."
His smile widened, an infectious grin that made my heart leap. "I love you more."
I wrapped my arms around him, burying my face in his shoulder as I giggled.
"Thank you so much for everything, Ansh."
"Ansh?" he echoed, a teasing glint in his eyes. "What was that?"
My heart raced, and I pulled back, biting my lip. "I didn't mean to say that! I swear, I'll never call you that again."
"Why not?" His brow arched, curiosity evident. "I think it's cute."
I rolled my eyes, trying to suppress a smile. "Only your mom calls you that, right? I wouldn't dare."
"Exactly!" he insisted, leaning in closer. "Only my mother calls me Ansh, and I'd love it if you did too."
"Okay, fine. But only if you promise to call me Malyshka when you're being all grumpy and professor-like," I shot back, crossing my arms defiantly.
He laughed, the sound rich and genuine. "Malyshka? That's a stretch, don't you think?"
"Hey, it fits! Something fictional you know." I gestured wildly, and he chuckled again, the sound warming my heart.
"Alright, I'll consider it," he said, his voice low and teasing. "But only if you give me a kiss for every time I call you that."
I gasped, playfully pushing him away. "You're incorrigible, Mr. Ansh Malhotra!"
"Just trying to make sure you know how much I appreciate you," he said, his tone suddenly serious. "You really do mean the world to me, Noor."
I felt the gravity of his words, the weight of his sincerity wrapping around us like a warm blanket. "You're not so bad yourself, you know. For a grumpy mathematics professor."
"Touché," he replied, a smirk playing on his lips. "But I'll have you know that my grumpiness is a highly valued trait in academia."
"Sure, if you say so," I teased, nudging him playfully. "But I prefer the sweet side of you."
"Sweet?" he scoffed, feigning offense. "I'm more of a dark chocolate kind of guy."
"Dark chocolate? Pfft! I'll take the sweet and creamy milk chocolate any day," I declared, throwing my head back in laughter.
He watched me, eyes softening. "You really do have a way of brightening up my grumpy days."
I smiled, feeling a rush of affection wash over me. "And you have a way of making my chaotic life feel... stable."
"Stability isn't my forte, but I'm glad to hear it's working for you," he said, his tone light yet earnest.
"Who knew a mathematician could be so charming?" I teased, nudging him again.
"Charming? I think you're mistaking me for someone else. I'M. JUST. A. GUY. WHO'S. HOPELESSLY. IN. LOVE. WITH. A. CHAOTIC. COLLEGE. STUDENT.," he replied, spacing every word, his voice dropping to a whisper.
The air between us thickened, and I felt a flutter in my stomach. "AND. I'M. HOPELESSLY. IN. LOVE. WITH. A. GRUMPY. MATHEMATICIAN." , I replied in the same tone.
"Perfect match, then," he said, his gaze unwavering. "But that means I have to put up with your chaos."
"Only if you promise to keep your grumpiness in check," I shot back, grinning.
"Deal," he said, holding out his pinky.
I linked mine with his, sealing our promise. "So, Ansh, what now?"
"Now?" He stepped closer, the warmth radiating from him wrapping around me like a soft cocoon. "Now we enjoy this moment. Just us."
I nodded, and we stood there, lost in each other's eyes, the world around us fading into a blur.
The moon peeked through the clouds, casting a silvery glow over the garden, illuminating the joy and warmth that enveloped us.
"Do you hear that?" I asked suddenly, breaking the silence.
"Hear what?" he replied, tilting his head slightly.
"Crickets! They're like the soundtrack to our moment," I said, grinning.
"Nature's music," he mused, nodding thoughtfully. "I suppose it adds to the ambiance."
"Ambiance? Is that your way of saying you're actually enjoying yourself?" I teased, poking him in the ribs.
"Let's not get carried away," he said, feigning seriousness. "But I might admit that I'm... tolerating it."
I laughed, the sound ringing out into the night. "Tolerating? Oh, you're too much!"
He smirked, his eyes twinkling. "And you're too loud."
"Loud? Me? Never!" I gasped in mock horror. "I'm a quiet, demure college student."
"Right, and I'm a social butterfly," he replied dryly.
We both laughed, the sound echoing in the stillness, a sweet symphony of shared moments.
"Okay, but seriously," I said, my tone turning earnest. "I really do appreciate you, Reyansh. You've made my life special."
His expression softened, and he took a step closer. "You deserve every bit of it, Noor. I'm just glad to be a part of it."
In that moment, I felt a rush of affection. "You're more than just a part of it. You're everything."
His gaze locked onto mine, and I could see the depth of his feelings reflected back at me. "And you're my everything."
The world around us faded away again, and I felt the pull of gravity between us, a magnetic force that drew me into him.
I leaned in, feeling the warmth of his breath against my lips before I pressed a soft kiss against them, a promise of more to come.
We stood there, lost in the moment, until a rustle in the bushes caught my attention. I pulled back, glancing toward the sound.
"Did you hear that?" I whispered, my heart racing.
"Probably just a squirrel," he replied, but I could see the concern in his eyes.
"Or something more sinister!" I added dramatically, my voice rising in pitch.
He chuckled, but I could see he was on high alert. "You're not helping, Noor."
"Okay, fine. I'll be quiet," I said, feigning innocence. "But if it's a bear, I'm not sharing my chocolate with you."
"Noted," he replied, shaking his head, a smile still tugging at his lips.
We resumed our stroll, but I could feel the tension in the air. I leaned closer to him, the warmth of his body grounding me.
"Do you think we'll always be like this?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
"Like what?" he asked, glancing down at me.
"Laughing, teasing, enjoying each other's company," I replied.
"Why wouldn't we?" he said, stopping to face me. "As long as you keep that chaotic spirit alive, I'll always be right here."
I smiled, feeling warmth flood my chest. "And as long as you keep being charmingly grumpy."
He rolled his eyes, but there was a lightness in his expression. "Deal. Now, let's get back to your family before they send a search party."
"Right!" I said, giggling as we turned back toward the house, hand in hand, ready to face whatever came next-together.
Reyansh's POV
I woke up to the sound of a soft voice drifting through the haze of sleep, pulling me from the depths of a dream.
"Reyansh... hubby..." I blinked, the morning light spilling into the room, illuminating the figure before me.
It was Noor, dressed in a stunning red silk saree that hugged her curves in all the right places. My heart raced as she smiled at me, her hair parted perfectly, adorned with the vibrant red of sindoor.
The nuptial chain around her neck glimmered, and the red bangles on her wrists chimed softly as she moved closer.
"Is this real?" I murmured, the dreamlike quality of the scene making me question everything.
Just as her lips were about to meet mine, the shrill ring of my alarm shattered the moment. I shot up in bed, the reality of my empty room crashing down on me like a wave.
My heart sank as I realized it had all been a dream. I let out a frustrated sigh, running my fingers through my hair.
"One day," I promised myself, staring at the ceiling. "I'll make this dream come true."
After a quick shower, I dressed and headed down to the kitchen, my mind still preoccupied with thoughts of Noor. I grabbed my phone and shot her a text.
"Hey, baby. Our date's postponed. We're going to a party with some of my college friends tonight."
A moment later, my phone buzzed.
"What! Ansh, you better take me on a date tomorrow or I'll hunt you down! I'm not kidding!"
I chuckled at her playful threat. "Noted. I'd rather not end up on the receiving end of your wrath."
As evening approached, I put on a fitted shirt that accentuated my build and drove over to Noor's place, anticipation bubbling inside me.
As I parked the car, I grabbed my phone to call her but caught sight of her striding toward me, her long black dress flowing elegantly behind her.
The thigh slit of her dress was daring, revealing just enough skin to make my heart race even faster.
"Wow," I breathed as she got closer. I stepped out of the car, my heart pounding. "You look absolutely stunning."
"Thanks, Grumpy!" she teased, a mischievous glint in her eyes. I leaned down and pressed a kiss to her forehead, feeling a wave of warmth wash over me.
She climbed into the passenger seat, and I quickly hopped into the driver's side.
As soon as I settled into my seat, my lips found hers in a passionate kiss, my hands tangling in her hair as I pulled her closer.
She responded eagerly, and for a moment, the world outside faded away.
When we finally broke apart, both of us panting, I noticed her smirk in the rearview mirror.
"Your lipstick's still perfect," I remarked, trying to catch my breath. "How is that even possible? I kissed you like I was starving."
(Pookie Reyansh is interested in lipstick??ð¤)
She laughed, the sound melodic and infectious. "It's smooch-proof, Ansh! You should know by now."
I narrowed my eyes, trying to wrap my head around that. "Girls and their lipstick... I don't get it."
"Maybe you should just stop overthinking and enjoy the moment," she suggested, her playful tone making it hard to stay grumpy.
I wanted to grab her thighs and knead them, feel the warmth of her skin, but I held back, reminding myself of the boundaries I shouldn't cross yet.
"Fine, I'll try," I said, rolling my eyes, but a smile crept onto my face. "Let's just get to this party."
As we drove off, the city lights flickered to life, casting a warm glow over the streets.
Noor turned on the music, a catchy pop song filling the car, and she began to hum along, swaying slightly in her seat. I couldn't help but watch her, captivated by her energy.
"Are you ready for this?" I asked, glancing at her. "You know my friends can be a bit... much."
She grinned, a wicked spark in her eyes. "Oh, I'll be fine. Just let me handle them. I'm a pro at charming people."
"I'm sure they'll be charmed," I replied, shaking my head with a smirk. "Just don't let them scare you off. They've been known to pull some wild stunts."
"Bring it on!" she declared, her confidence infectious. "I'm ready to show them what I'm made of."
As we arrived at the venue, a sprawling house lit up with fairy lights, I could feel the excitement buzzing in the air.
We stepped out of the car, and I took her hand, leading her through the throngs of people mingling in the yard.
"Reyansh!" a voice called out, drawing my attention. It was Vikram, one of my old friends, who bounded over with a grin. "You made it! And who's this beautiful lady?"
"This is Noor," I said, glancing at her. "
"Ummmm.....My girlfriend."
"Nice to meet you!" Noor beamed, her charm already working its magic. Vikram's eyes widened, impressed.
"Lucky guy! Come on, let's get you both some drinks!" He led us toward the bar, and I could already see the chaos of the party unfolding.
Laughter and music mingled in the air, the scent of food wafting from the grill nearby.
As we settled at the bar, Noor leaned closer to me, her voice barely above a whisper. "This is going to be fun, right?"
"Definitely," I replied, though a small part of me was anxious. My friends could be overwhelming, and I wondered how Noor would handle their antics.
"Hey, Reyansh!" another friend shouted, making his way over. "You're late! We thought you ditched us."
"Not a chance," I said, trying to keep my composure as more friends joined the group. "I came with my date, and I'm not letting her escape."
Noor laughed, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "I'm not going anywhere, boys. Bring it on!"
As the night progressed, I watched Noor effortlessly navigate conversations, her laughter ringing out like music.
I felt a swell of pride; she was charming everyone, and they were loving her. I found myself lost in her energy, the way she moved and spoke, her genuine joy infectious.
"Reyansh! You've got to see this!" Vikram shouted, dragging me away from the bar. I glanced back at Noor, who was deep in conversation with a couple of my friends.
"Where are we going?" I asked, barely able to keep up with Vikram's pace.
"To the games!" he declared, leading me to a makeshift area where various party games were set up. "We've got beer pong, flip cup, and a few other surprises! Get ready to lose!"
"Not a chance," I replied, my competitive spirit flaring up. I was determined to win, but as the games unfolded, I could see Noor watching, her eyes glinting with excitement.
"Come on, Ansh! Show them what you've got!" she cheered, her voice rising above the crowd. I felt a rush of adrenaline at her support, and I dove into the games, determined to impress her.
As the night wore on, laughter and shouts mingled with the music, creating a vibrant atmosphere. We played game after game, and with every victory, I could see Noor's admiration growing.
"Okay, okay! I'm officially impressed," she admitted after I won a particularly intense round of beer pong. "But can you handle one more challenge?"
"Always," I replied, a teasing smile on my lips.
"Danceoff," she announced, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Let's see who's got the better moves."
I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "You think you can out-dance me?"
"Challenge accepted!" she declared, pulling me toward the dance floor.
As we began to dance, the world around us faded. Her movements were fluid, confident, and I found myself getting lost in the rhythm and her laughter.
The music pulsed around us, and I couldn't help but pull her closer, swaying together in a way that felt intimate and exhilarating.
"You're not bad," I admitted, breathless. "For a chaotic college student."
"Ha! I'll take that as a compliment," she shot back, twirling away before coming back to me, her laughter ringing in my ears.
As the song ended, I pulled her close, our faces inches apart. "I'm glad you came with me tonight," I said, sincerity lacing my words.
"Me too," she replied softly, her gaze searching mine. "I love being here with you."
Just then, Vikram burst onto the scene, drunk and loud. "What's going on here? Are you two about to kiss or something?"
I shot him a glare, but Noor just laughed, nudging me playfully. "Maybe we should, just to make him jealous!"
"Not a chance," I replied, wrapping my arms around her waist. "This moment is ours."
With that, I leaned in, capturing her lips in a kiss that was tender yet fervent, the world around us falling away. I could feel her smile against my mouth, the warmth of her body igniting something deep within me.
When we pulled apart, I was met with her bright eyes, the spark of mischief still dancing in them. "See? Now you've ruined my smooch-proof lipstick."
"Good," I murmured, brushing my thumb against her cheek. "It means you're mine."
The night continued, filled with games, laughter, and moments that felt stolen from a dream.
I had no idea where this journey would lead us, but one thing was for sure: I was ready to embrace it all, with Noor by my side.
We were enjoying when I heard someone calling my name. It was a familiar voice. I looked into the direction and my eyes widened to see the person.
What the heck??
