Carrie's P.O.V~~~
I took a hold of Julie's hand and we together followed Aiden who was dragging Kia with him. I wanted to hear Kia's reason for taking his picture while he was asleep, and to also check that he won't hurt her cause he was very angry and embarrassed of that picture.
I watched him take her to his- I mean their tent and I followed with Julie behind just as excited as me. We both stood outside the tent waiting for them to speak.
The silence was broken when Kia apologized Aiden.
"Do you know how embarrassing it is for me?" He questioned. "Why would you do that?" It was Aiden questioning her.
"Um...you looked cute like that so...I thought...of taking a picture of it to show them how cute you were in reality" Kia mumbled and we giggled at her response. Oh Kia!
We could not hear Aiden's response clearly as that time few people were walking past us laughing loudly making it hard for us to hear. But we heard him say something like he was not cute and not to call him that.
"but you were really looking cute...see this...how are you not cute in it?"
Kia stated and I sneaked in a little to see her showing him the screen and him snatching the phone blushing a deep shade of red making me laugh a little but thankfully Kia laughed at the same time so my laugh got drowned. It was hard for us to stop ourselves and Julie was bursting from inside. She waved her hand showing she can't handle it anymore but still stayed to see the whole scene.
They mostly argued about Aiden was being cute and it was hilarious. Me and Julie were trying so hard to contain our laughs but was getting tough for us as the fight progressed between them. I have never seen such a cute and funny fight. Only they are capable of it. Hehehe!
Towards the end of their argument Kia came out pouting and making her way back and Aiden followed with a smug smile on having received her phone. I pulled Julie out of their site and hid waiting for them to go.
They were so cute arguing. Kia was a perfect match for Aiden. Suddenly, a thought came to me.
"Julie, don't you think they are cute together?" I asked her.
"Yeah they are but where are you going with this?" She eyed me suspiciously.
"Oh simple, I want them to be together. Kia is the only one single and Aiden is the same." I told her and she nodded.
"Yeah mee too...but what can we do? It depends on them." Julie said to which I tutted.
"Don't you worry when I am here. I have an excellent plan to bring them together" I informed her.
"Really? What is it?" She asked getting all excited about it.
"Well...the plan is to persuade Mr. Scott to send us all for picking logs for bon fire." I told her grinning.
"But how is that possible? You know the professors won't allow us to do so after the incident with Kia that took place" Julie voiced her thoughts and I grinned.
"Don't you worry Jules, just be with me while I have a chat with the professors" I said acting all serious and she laughed at that.
"Okay...I'll come with you but I won't say a word to him. Even if the professors allow us to, how can you be so sure that Kia and Aiden will end up together after this plan cause they are always bickering" Julie stated and I shook my head.
"Haven't you ever noticed how Aiden cares for her more than anyone and let's not forget the blush that creeps up to Kia's face when Aiden compliments or tease her. They have feelings for each other deep inside but they don't show it so, it's our job to dig out their feelings for each other." I explained her and she nodded.
"Let's do it then" Julie cheered giving me a high five and mirroring my grin.

The next morning I woke up quickly and went to dragged Julie with me to the professors.
Once we reached, Julie stood beside and motioned for me to speak. Okay Carrie do it. I inhaled and exhaled a large amount of air and opened my mouth to speak.
"Good morning Mr. Scott" me and Julie greeted him and he smiled at us.
"Good morning Carrie and Julie. What makes you come here in the morning ? He asked us as Mr. Tyler joined us too.
"I wanted to request you to send us all to pick logs for bon fire again." I said with an innocent face while Julie nodded her head.
"Why would you want to collect logs for bon fire when we have relieved you of that work?" Mr. Scott asked eyeing us.
"Actually sir we used to have a lot of fun collecting logs in the woods. It felt good that we were doing things together, also sir we are gonna head back in few days so we want to enjoy the last bit fun" I told him and anticipated for his words as he seemed reluctant.
"No, You won't go. We all know what happened the last time you all went for collecting logs " Mr. Scott said suddenly after thinking and my plan ends here. Huff!
"Sir please let us go sir, there won't be such incident happening from now on." Julie chimed in and I eyed her. That's my friend! He thought for a minute, discussing it with Mr. Tyler and Mr. Hamilton who joined us in the middle of our request. After so much of persuasion he reluctantly allowed us and informed that he'll announce it to others later today.
~~~~Kiara's P.O.V~~~~~
The next day I woke up to someone poking me on the cheeks. I opened my eyes to be met with deep chocolate brown orbs.
"Morning sleepy head" he greeted me and I greeted him in return.
â²Wasn't he angry yesterday?â²
He went outside the tent after that. I cleaned myself; changed my clothes and went out for breakfast. I approached our table and looked around to find Julie and Carrie missing. I sat beside Aiden and asked no one in particular,
"Hey! Where are Julie and Carrie?"
"Umm...they went t-" Blake started but was cut off by Jake who was pointing his finger behind me as he said, "there they are" I looked behind me to see Carrie and Julie coming along with the professors.
"Morning friends" Carrie greeted and sat beside Blake. Julie did the same and started eating food as if she had not eaten for two days. This made me chuckle.
"Jules baby, eat slowly or else you'll choke" Jake said patting her back in concern and Julie looked up at him and whined,
"But I'm hungry and the food is delicious Jakey." On hearing this Aiden commented slyly,
"It's the same food we eat everyday Julie" Julie groaned out loud making me laugh and she squealed,
"screw you"
We were still eating when Mr. Scott announced,
"Today is a rest day for you all so, you all will be here relaxing for today with no activity to be done.-
A student cut him off saying,
"Sir but what about swimming; we were to swim today according to what you told us yesterday."
"Don't interrupt me kid and wait for me to finish what I was saying. Understood? As for swimming, you all will go for swimming tomorrow as the guides are not available at the moment. Hope you all have understood. You may continue with your breakfast now." He concluded.

I was currently sitting with Carrie and Julie on the rock beside the lake while Dan, Jake, Blake, Aiden and Jeremy were swimming in the lake. We were all silently sitting, not the awkward, how to start a conversation silent but a peaceful one. It was slowly getting dark and we'll be going towards the bon fire in few minutes as instructed by Mr. Tyler.
The whole day I spent my time sitting and laughing on lame jokes, playing card games and losing proudly at that. I was always poor at playing card games, it was never my cup of tea.
It was an amazing day so far.
After few minutes of sitting in silence Carrie informed us that it was time to assemble in front of professors.
We reached there and stood facing Mr. Scott who was already prepared for a speech by the look of it. But what came out of his mouth was not expected.
"So today I thought we could let you collect logs for the bon fire since the trip is gonna end soon and also today you all were relaxing the whole day. But you'll have to take care of yourselves. Understood?" As he finished everyone cheered as they all replied with a 'yes'.
"Okay then, go and collect logs and be back in twenty minutes" Mr. Tyler announced and we made our way to the woods.
I was a little reluctant to go after the incident. Aiden must have guessed it as he came beside me and asked if I was okay to which I nod my head. He kept walking beside me after that. When we reached the entrance of woods we stopped to divide ourselves.
"I will go with Blake" Carrie squealed happily while Julie with Jake. Dan, Jeremy, Aiden and me were left.
"Dan and Jeremy, you both go together and Aiden and Kia you go together, Done. What is there to think so much?" Julie asked. Dan and Jeremy agreed so in the end me and Aiden had to go together.
"Okay, so let's meet here after twenty minutes." Aiden told us and everyone split ways after that.
It was completely dark here and I started panicking after five minutes of walking. I shifted close to Aiden, looking here and there for danger. Aiden noticed this and wrapped his arm around my shoulders. I gasped a little at that, hotness creeping up to my face. I inhaled air but was met with his scent. He smelled of lavender and let me tell you it was mouthwatering.
What? Kia control your hormones.
Yeah yeah!
I looked at him and noticed his features closely for the first time. He has a sharp jaw, his deep chocolate brown orbs were looking straight ahead with his brows furrowed as if concentrating on his task. His hair was disheveled and looked so soft that I wanted to reach my hand there and play with it.
I was so busy looking at his features that I tripped and was gonna fall face first when Aiden's hand on my shoulder tightened pulling me to him. I was deep red by now, thank god its dark here or else he would've seen me like this.
My head was laid on his chest, I moved my eyes up to his face to find him looking at me. His grasp was tight as if protecting me from danger. We looked into each other's eyes but Aiden was quick to divert his eyes from me.
"Are you okay?" He asked after composing himself and I nodded my head telling him that I am alright.
We picked up enough logs for bon fire and were returning to the entrance where we promised to meet the others. I was sticking so close to Aiden as it was completely dark now and our torch was no more with us as it fell when Aiden was saving me from falling. So now, I was extra frightened by the dark and I shivered due to fear and cold. Aiden held me close when I shivered for the third time.
"You seem to be cold" he said removing his jacket but I put my hand on his wrist stopping him from doing so.
"No its okay. We are gonna reach the entrance in no time" I told him softly and he shook his head.
"You are shivering Kia, take it or else you won't be able to enjoy your upcoming days" he said and removed his jacket and put it over my shoulder covering most part of my skin and leaving warmth. I snuggled more into it causing Aiden to chuckle. Gosh...why did I do that?
"What?" I asked him and he shook his head laughing. I pouted and started walking faster when I lost my balance and fell on my butt. I cried in pain as I felt my leg sprain. Aiden laughed at me for being so clumsy but stopped when he heard my cry again. He came and knelt down towards me.
"Where are you hurt Kia?" He asks me gently and I point my finger to my leg which was sprained. He examines my leg and try to move it left and right causing me to whimper in pain.
"Does it hurt?"
I nod my head and he puts my leg down and sit beside me enveloping me in a hug. It must be the third time heat creeping up to my face so I duck my face downward to hide the blush. He pats my head and it suddenly stops paining. I feel content somehow and a sigh escapes me.
"Aiden, don't we have to go to meet with the others?" I asked him and he simply replies saying,
"We still have five minutes; rest a little and then we'll start walking again." I nodded my head in acknowledge and sat there. Due to the cold wind I was not able to sit still, my legs were shaking causing the pain to increase. I let out a sudden cry making Aiden snap out of whatever he was thinking.
"You okay?" He asked and I nodded trying to smile but he saw through my lie and gave me a stern look. I looked down and muttered,
"My leg hurts" he crouched down and rubbed my legs slowly where it sprained. I whimpered and he slowed his pace. He rubbed it for few minutes and I felt a little good due to the warm spreading through his hand.
I stared at him deep as its unusual of him to be so caring. I felt bad that he was rubbing my sprained leg when I was sitting and staring at him.
"Aiden, you can stop now. I feel better." I tried to convince but he just ignored it. I was not liking it and so I tried again,
"Aiden...could you stop it and sit here. I told you that I'm fine now" I said seriously. He looked at me for a good two minute and smiled cockily.
"If you wanted me beside you, you just had to say"
I stared at him in shock and flushed deep. Why are you flushed? You didn't mean that. Did you? My inner voice asked and I shook my head lightly while Aiden laughed as he saw my expression.
"What?" I asked him as if I was clueless but deep inside I was praying for the ground to swallow me up.
He shook his head and smiled not the cocky jerk one, but a genuine one and I was awestruck at how he looked so amazing and real with a smile on his face. Not that he looked fake without it but this smile was very genuine and breathtaking.
He got up and sat beside me again. We stayed quiet, relishing each other's presence. He suddenly wrapped his hand around my shoulder and I shuddered as his hand touched my neck in the process. His hands- they are freezing.
I remove his hand and held them to feel it properly and let me tell you what, his hands were cold like an ice. I quickly took both of his hand and rubbed it with my palm.
"Aiden, you are f*cking freezing" I said worriedly trying to warm his hand. I felt guilt building up inside me as it was because of me that he removed his only jacket to put it on me. I removed his jacket and gave it to him and said firmly,
"Wear it Aiden, I won't hear your bullshit. You are freezing like crazy, don't you care for yourself?"
He looked at me and again smiled a small genuine one and wore his jacket. He still had that smile, like he was happy and sad. I couldn't put my finger on it, he had some emotions swirling inside him.
"What is it?" I asked slowly and he shook his head mumbling a nothing. I wanted to know but thought better of it.
"Let's start moving, they must be waiting for us" Aiden said and stood up. I slowly stood up but as I started moving, pain shot through me and I clutched Aiden's hand for support. He was quick to hold me still. Pain is a b*tch. Ugh!!
"You still in pain?" He asked and I shook my head. I can't let him worry so much about me.
"It was just a starting trouble" I attempted to joke and it worked as he chuckled.

We reached the entrance of the woods to be met with all our friends. All the way here Aiden held me as I limped beside him and I felt an emotion which I can't decipher and I'm sure, it would bug me till I find out.
Carrie and Julie ran up to me worriedly and asked what happened. I told them that I sprained my leg and at that they seem to relax a bit.
"Why does it always happen with you?" Dan asked and I shrugged, "It's not my thing...I guess."
"Definitely, it's not" Aiden commented, I pouted at that but didn't say anything.
We walked to the bon fire and settled ourselves around it after setting the logs. I sat between Jake and Blake while Carrie and Julie sat beside them. Aiden, Dan and Jeremy sat together. I felt weird sitting between the couples but I let it go.
I was tired after all the energy I wasted in the woods. My eyes were getting heavy every minute. I tried to keep my eyes open but no luck. I leaned onto Blake's shoulder unconsciously and I was gone deep into my dreamland.
~~~~~~~Aiden's P.O.V~~~~~~~
I was sitting between Dan and Jeremy and they were both arguing about who's girl is more beautiful while I just wanted to beat the sh*t out of them for arguing over such senseless things when Carrie called me. I looked at her and she pointed me to a sleeping Kiara, leaning on Blake's shoulder.
"So?" I question her. She hits her forehead with her hand on hearing me.
"Silly, take her to your tent and let her sleep" Carrie explains and I nod. Ooh
I walk towards Kia and pick her up, she weighs nothing to be honest. I start walking to my tent and lay her down upon reaching. She snuggles into me and hiss a little in pain when she moves her leg.
I pry her hands off and wrap a bandage on her leg for warmth. After doing so, I also get ready to sleep as today was a tiring day but was also a good day for me.
I lay down and think of what happened in the woods. Her simple gesture of care melted me, the concern in her eyes for me and the way she rubbed her hand on mine to make sure I'm warm, it was a rare feeling for me.
My parent knew how I was so they don't worry about me so much. My mom do worry but what I saw in her eyes was unexplainable. I looked at her from where I'm laying to find her smiling in sleep. She is so cute, it's impossible to argue or stay mad at her.
Cute? When did this happen? My subconscious questions.
"Shut up" I mumble and take my
