29. HIDDEN LOVE & SECRETS
Billionaire Bad Boys Club
ACT FIVE SCENE THREE
HIDDEN LOVE & SECRETS
third person
perspective
SILAS GRAY COULD fall asleep anywhere. He happened to find a space in a rather empty room, he laid there with his eyes closed and head resting on his arm. Someone enters the room, the sound of heels clicking caused Silas to groan internally. Who dares to ruin his sleep? He was about to protest but he notices Solar, the girl that follows Normani's every word.
His gaze falls on Solar, the pretty Vietnamese girl. She looked like she was crying, her cheeks were puffy and her mascara was running.
Has Jumin already gone forward with the plan? Silas thought that they weren't going to go along with the plan until the very end of the night. But why was this girl sobbing right now? Did someone say anything to her? Silas sighs, he was supposed to make her cry, someone else has beaten him at his own game.
The door opens again. But this time it was the devil itself. Normani Blaze glares at Solar, Silas watched with interest. He didn't know the both of them had problems, he thought that Sahar and these two had problems. The fact the two of these girls had problems made him feel very interested.
"I told you to do one task and you fail horribly, how can I trust you to be there for me when all you do is feel bad. You're supposed to be my friend, why do you always feel bad for people who don't deserve to feel bad for? Why the hell do you care so much about Sahar that you feel horrible when you say something about her?" Normani exclaims, grabbing Solar's wrist tightly â Silas frowns at her actions.
"I-I don't want to do this, I feel bad for her, she doesn't seem bad Normani; why did you lie to me? You used my feelings for Asher and used them against me, you made me want to hate her and ruin her." Solar whispers, her words cause Silas to widen his eyes.
Solar likes Asher?
This night took a turn and it's becoming very interesting.
"She's stealing the boy you love and you feel bad for her? What makes you feel so bad about this stupid girl?" Normani demands for an answer.
"She already has a tough life Normani, we both grew up with her, we saw the way her mother treated her â we were supposed to be the ones to help her, to make her feel better, we failed as friends and you're asking me why? She tried her best to make you return to this school, she tried to avenge you but she had a big realisation."
"And that realisation was that you are a liar." and those words caused Normani to slap Solar across the face.
Solar places her hand on her skin, she felt her cheek burning. Warm tears fall down her face as she looked at Normani with utter disbelief. "I know you don't want to be wrong Normani, I know you want to believe you're right but I'm going to tell you this... your motives are wrong, you're not being a good person."
Silas widens his eyes as he watches the scene unfold. He felt strangely angry at Normani, he felt bad for Solar. She seemed too sweet, too innocent to be hurt by that girl.
Normani laughs. "Who are you to tell me I'm not a good person? You put Jumin's document in Sahar's bag, you wanted her gone just as much as I wanted."
"That was before I realised that what I was doing was wrong."
"Unbelievable, you're the biggest liar in this world. Tell me Solar, what really went through your mind to cause you to feel sympathy for her!"
Solar chews on her bottom lips nervously, she couldn't tell Normani.
"Tell me!" Normani shouts, causing Solar to flinch.
"I-"
"You what, tell me now!"
"I lost feelings for Asher."
"And how did that happen?" Normani questions.
"I slept with him."
Silence.
Utter silence.
Silas felt wide awake. He couldn't believe what was said. Asher really went ahead and slept with Sahar's best friend behind her back. But why? How could he do that to her after everything they've been through.
"You're a whore. A disgusting whore, a cheap girl who'd do anything for some male attention." Normani says, looking at Solar with disgust. She releases her grip on Solar's wrist and leaves the room in anger.
Solar falls to the floor, her eyes filled with tears. Silas couldn't believe it, the girl went through the most and he didn't even realise it. He felt like hugging her, he didn't want her to feel upset. Girls like her don't deserve to feel miserable.
He hesitantly stands up.
He keeps a nonchalant face as he looks at her. "You should check who's in the room when you enter it." his words cause Solar to flinch, she looks up to find the lazy boy watching her with tired eyes. She sighs, there wasn't anything left in her to say anything. She didn't want to talk anymore, she just wanted to be left alone.
"Did you really sleep with him?"
Silas' question causes Solar to smile weakly.
"I did."
"You don't look like you've lost feelings for him, you lied to your friend. But why?"
"I don't know why I lied. Maybe it's because I'm losing hope with my feelings, a guy like Asher Devon wouldn't glance at a girl like me, even though we slept together, to him it was an one night stand to get rid of his pain of losing Sahar as a friend."
"How do you know that he only used you to get rid of his pain?"
"He was drunk, spilling his feelings out. He spoke about how she betrayed him, about how she wanted to expose him and use him for monumental fame. At that point I realised he was speaking about Sahar. But his next words made me realise he'd never see me as a potential lover, he told me that he'll use me, Sahar's best friend as some sort of revenge."
"I don't know if he likes her but it made me feel pathetic, I really slept with someone who couldn't care less about me, but I liked him to the point I didn't care anymore. I wanted him so bad, it was finally my chance... so I took it." Solar whispers, a small smile on her face. "He's so different, someone I've never met before, I truly admire the way he speaks, he's really special."
Silas frowns. This girl was in love with a guy who loved to be lonely. She deserves someone better but she can't help but think about him. It surprised him, he didn't know someone could be so deeply in love with someone who doesn't care. He has never experienced love, he doesn't know about anything to do with it. And watching Solar today made him never want to fall in love.
"I'm sure you're just in love with his looks."
Solar laughs. "In love with his looks? I'm not a shallow person. I fell for his actions, the way he has treated me in the past, the way he smiles when he's unhappy, the way he laughs when he's hurting â I notice everything about him, I admire everything about him, Asher Devon deserves more than loneliness."
"I used to pretend that I was so shocked by his tape, it made me laugh. I knew Asher didn't kill his little sister, that's when I sort of realised that Normani went too far in her tapes. I tried to make Sahar believe I didn't like Asher at all, that his presence made me feel sick when really and truly I was hopelessly in love with him."
Silas furrows his eyebrows. "Tape?" he questions.
Solar shuts her mouth immediately.
"What tapes are you talking about? Tell me Solar."
Solar sighs. Was there a point of keeping this from him anyways? They're bound to find out about these tapes. She doesn't want to protect Normani anymore, she wants to ruin Normani. She wants Normani to realise how manipulative she is, how toxic she is and most importantly how much of a compulsive liar she is.
"Normani has tapes dedicated to each billionaire bad boys club member except Luca and Jumin. Each tape containing a secret about each member that she's discovered herself and on those tapes she lies a lot, making each member seem like a complete monster."
Solar's words cause Silas to feel his heart numb. He couldn't let his secret get exposed. He didn't feel safe anymore, he felt terrified.
"I've heard your tape... it's different." Silas shifts uncomfortably, he didn't want Solar to judge him.
"I hope you keep it to yourself, Solar."
"I think you should tell people."
"It's not easy."
"We're in a more accepting society and plus it doesn't make you any different from others."
"Being in an 'accepting' society filled with rich people, doesn't make it okay for me to tell people I'm gay." his words were bitter, he didn't want to come out to his family, he just wants to keep this secret until the end of time. And he won't allow Normani Blaze to take advantage of him.
He'll destroy her, no matter what it takes.
