Chapter 41

39. LEAVE THE WORLD

Billionaire Bad Boys Club

ACT SIX SCENE EIGHT

LUCA'S SIDE

third person

perspective

THE IDEA OF PARADISE was far beyond reach. For a boy who wanted to die, Luca was afraid of dying. All he wanted to do was disappear for eternity and return as a new person. Everyone around him views him badly, he crafted a soulless image for people to hate. In reality, he's just a regular kid with his own dreams, he wanted to live normally - he wanted to live without the judgemental eyes of society.

And now here he was, apologising for something he unknowingly caused. "I didn't mean what I said earlier, it's just been a rough day." he tells Helius, who sat in front of him beside him was Silas who just stared blankly at the caramel haired boy, he doubted his apology, it sounded half assed. A real apology would be taking the blame wholeheartedly not blaming it on how bad your day was.

"From what I've heard, you brought up our dead sister's name and proceeded to mock Helius about how you used her. A sane person who had a bad day would have never said something like that, we both know that you meant everything you said." Silas states bitterly, resisting the urge to hurt Luca.

Luca nods his head. Silas wasn't wrong. Just because he had a bad day, it wasn't right for him to talk like that.

"I don't think you understand why we're mad at you, Luca," Helius says calmly, keeping a well mannered attitude is the way to avoid heated arguments and pointless disagreements. "Alison's death occurred because she followed your car after an argument and if you didn't date her in the first place for her 'touch' she would've been alive to this day."

Luca wanted to tell them the truth. Their sister lied. But how could he tell them that? They wouldn't believe him without solid evidence. After all in this world, it's difficult to be trusted without having solid proof. One's words is never enough.

"I'm sorry." Luca says sincerely, he had nothing else to say. He lives his life in utter regret, nothing in this day and age could make him feel happy.

Silas scoffs, standing up abruptly. "Sorry? Is that all that comes out of your mouth? How do you think we feel? We lost our sister, a person we loved and adored but you... you just used her for your own benefit. You really do make me sick, Valdez."

Luca doesn't meet his gaze. "Is there something you want me to do Silas? I don't mind doing anything to make up for my mistakes." his words anger Silas further, leading him to grab Luca by the collar tightly.

His neck burns, his allergy of touch, always seemed to get the best of him.

"Don't test my patience Valdez, nothing, nothing in this world will make up for your stupid mistake. I hope something just as bad happens to you because you're the worst kind of person in this world." each word felt like a bloody knife purging through Luca's body.

"I guess so. I deserve it all." Luca sputters, he has learned to accept his miserable fate.

Helius sighs. He knew that bringing Silas would cause trouble.

"Let him go, Silas. You're forgetting he's the leader of our club." Helius says, but deep down inside he wanted his brother to continue.

Silas laughs. "We can't ever leave this club, none of us can. This guy being a leader bothers me because he couldn't even stand the thought of getting engaged to a random stranger for more business opportunity."

Luca couldn't breathe. His allergy was forcing him to lose his composure.

"L-Let go." he whispers, his voice barely audible.

Silas releases his hold in an instant. He forgot about Luca's allergy for a moment. Guilt overwhelms his body, he didn't mean to go this far. When Silas is angry, he can't control himself, it's as if the anger possesses him to act harshly.

Luca resented the feeling of being weak. Why was it him? Why did he have to endure such a merciless fate?

Instead of reaching out for the needle, he does nothing.

There are days he wanted to end his life.

And today was the day.

Where he wanted to disappear forever and end his endless years of pain.

-

ASHER PUSHES PAST people in the hospital. His eyes were filled with anger and his mind was roaring with fury. There was one job he had to fulfil, and that was to keep Luca alive and happy. Only to fail miserably, his best friend was on the verge of losing his life. Asher wanted to wake up from this living nightmare, he didn't want to live a life where Luca doesn't exist.

He makes his way inside the private room, ignoring the warnings of the nurse. His heart freezes at the sight of Luca lifelessly laying on the hospital bed. "Why? Why did you not inject yourself after being touched? Did you really want to leave that badly?" he felt tears cascading down his face. "I told you I'll find another way out."

"I told you to take care of his well being. If it wasn't for the fast admission into my hospital, he would've been dead." Luca's private doctor says, her eyes scanning the state of his body.

Asher's heart numbed. Dead?

"The abuse is getting bad Asher, I had to remove pieces of glass from his knees and observe the several scars across his whole body. If this carries on, he won't live to see another day." the doctor says, her eyes softening at the sight of Luca. She felt bad for the boy, he leads such a terrible life even with all the money in the world he still suffers endlessly.

"I'll fix everything, don't worry." Asher says, he wanted Luca to feel better. He wanted Luca to live a life without any worries. And that won't happen until he's away from his abusive family.

The doctor nods her head. She leaves the room, leaving Asher alone with Luca.

Asher takes a seat in front of his bed. "How did you end up like this? Who did this to you?" he murmurs, Luca was admitted into the hospital by someone unknown. But the last people he was with was Helius and Silas. Asher could tell exactly what happened and he's placing his bets on Silas. He trusted Helius to have a calm conversation with Luca about what happened but why did it end like this?

"I have to watch whatever you do now because I can't trust you or the people are you. I want to know, did you feel happy for once? Did it make you happy to finally make the decision you wanted to leave? Or did you regret it."

"I'm tired of people using you, I'm tired of them using me too. I guess that's why we get along so well." Asher chuckles drily.

Asher stands up. "I'll see you around, I have a few unsettled businesses to attend to." those were his last words before making his way out of the private hospital room. Asher was going to make sure he has a chat with Silas to put him in his place and Helius, Helius will be taking a lot of blame for not stopping his aggressive brother.

-

ASHER HOLDS A LUWAK coffee, taking casual sips as he steps out of his car. He arrived at the GREY residence. He notices Silas' car outside, alerting him that he was home. Asher likes it when there's unity in the club, knowing that there's a member who hurt another doesn't sit right with him. Silas could've owned up to his mistake and told Asher that he hurt Luca.

But he didn't.

Asher presses the door bell.

The door opens after a few seconds, revealing a tired looking Silas. He rubs his eyes twice, he was confused as to why Asher decided to come to his house. Before he could say a word, Asher pulls Silas outside, dropping his Luwak coffee in the process.

Asher releases Silas, causing him to fall on to the ground.

Silas was wide awake now. "What's wrong with you?" he snaps, he was growing angry once again.

Asher stretches his arms, rolling his sleeves up. "No, what is wrong with you? I know it was you." and that's all it took for Silas to realise who Asher was fighting him for. He scoffs, it was a small mistake, did he honestly have to go to the extreme and hurt him for it?

"It slipped my mind that he has an allergy. You don't need to fight me just because Luca couldn't handle the pain." Silas' were enough to force Asher to lose his composure. He grabs Silas by the neck and slams him on to the brick wall, causing his head to collide roughly again the hard material.

"You know how serious this is. He could've died because of your small mistake and if that happened, you would've been classed as a killer." Asher states bitterly.

Silas struggles to speak. "Imagine how I feel about Luca, he lead my sister to her death. In my eyes I see him as a killer."

"But nobody told your sister to follow after him. Blaming Luca for something he unknowingly cause is weird behaviour coming from you." Asher releases his hold on the boy.

Silas gasps for air. "I have every right to be mad, all he does is say sorry. Sorry is not enough."

Asher runs a hand through his platinum blonde hair. "How many times will I have to get this through yours and your brother's head. What else can he do? He didn't know your sister followed him after their talk."

"His apology was half hearted."

Asher scoffs. "And who are you to say that? Did you look into his mind and decide his apology wasn't good enough? What else could he have done, bring your sister back to life? This is a person we're talking about, you know how horrible his parents are and you know he struggles a lot mentally - yet you think it's right to hurt him and punish him for something he didn't do? Get it in your head Silas, Luca did not kill your sister."

Silas doesn't speak further. He understood. He knew he was wrong.

"Luca is going to wake up soon, you and Helius better apologise or you won't live to see another day because I'll personally do something I won't regret." and with those words, Asher made his way back to his car.

Silas looks down with regret.

"I'm sorry Luca." he whispers to himself. "I didn't know you wanted to leave this world so badly, nobody should ever feel that way, not even you."
