ᵐᵃᵏᵃʸˡᵃ ʷᵃˢ ᵃᵗ ʰᵒᵐᵉ as school was now out and she was currently sitting at her vanity doing her school homework.

Makayla signed as she lightly tapped her pencil on her forehead. Ever since she pulled her homework out she wasn't able to focus.

Her mind was clouded from everything that had happened yesterday from school—and she was honestly lost in her thoughts.

Thankfully she was finally cut from out of her head as Makayla's phone started vibrating. Makayla lifted her phone up seeing notti's contact name flashing onto her screen.

And Makayla was confused as to why notti was randomly calling her—but then she remember the boy had said he would call her after school so they could do their homework together.

Makayla quickly answered as she sat her phone up so notti could see her. She then pressed the green button as the phone call started connecting.

"Yoo" notti said as Makayla smiled at him while waving—Notti then sat his phone up as he was sitting at his desk currently pulling out his homework.

"Biology homework?" Makayla asked as notti rolled his eyes before nodding. Him and Makayla both figured out they had hated biology.

"I dead don't get this shit—what the fuck is a thylakoid." Notti said complaing as he huffed—Makayla then started laughing as she looked at the assignment her and notti had to do.

"Word, she got us learning about shit I never heard before-" Makayla said as notti just nodded his head.

"Worda mami I'm finna cheat." Notti said shaking his head as he lifted his phone up causing Makayla to laugh—She watched as notti started typing while looking very focused.

"Send me the answers if you find them cuz I can't do this myself." Makayla said with her hand on her forehead

Roughly a minute later notti moved back from the camera as he started doing a little dance while clapping loudly. "Found em" notti said geeked as Makayla then clapped herself.

Notti quickly started screen sharing as they both started writing down the answers—and it was going good until Makayla heard the background noise of notti's door opening and closing.

"Yo bro." Makayla heard a familiar voice say—and the voice sounded like it belonged to the person who had just called her a bitch yesterday.

"Yea." Notti said turning his head to his brother as dd held his controller up in the air while waving it slightly—"tryna play 2k?" dd asked notti as notti shook his head no.

"I'm on the phone." Notti said as dd then raised his eyebrows before going over to the phone. And there he saw the girl he had just cussed out yesterday.

dd saw Makayla focused while doing her homework not even seeing him in the camera. And since dd didn't get to appreciate the looks of Makayla he now had the chance to do just that.

And damn did Makayla have some good features that complimented her. Dd then picked up the phone as he got into the camera—and that caused Makayla to look up. Soon as she did though she scrunched up her face at the sight.

Seeing Makayla's mug dd quickly threw his head back mugging her back—notti then snatched his phone as he sat it back down on the desk before shaking his head.

"Yo get the fuck out dick." Notti said pushing his brother slightly while laughing. Dd just smacked his lips before sitting the controller on the desk.

"Well whenever you put that shit away come in my room so we can play." (Bars) dd told his brother as notti just sighed loudly.

dd then went back into the camera as he flicked makayla off and she just watched him—Makayla then rolled her eyes at the boy—dd had finally exited the room after that causing Makayla to laugh.

"I didn't know yall was family." Makayla said as notti slowly nodded his head. "Yeaa—he my older brother." Notti said shrugging as Makayla looked a bit suprised.

"Deadass? I woulda thought you was older—he seem a bit childish." Makayla said rolling her eyes as notti laughed. "He can be, but that's just how he play." Notti said as Makayla nodded quickly getting back to work.

ᵐᵃᵏᵃʸˡᵃ ᵃⁿᵈ ⁿᵒᵗᵗⁱ finally finished the homework as notti had just hung up—They bit their goodbyes because Makayla had said she needed to go eat.

Notti actually enjoyed the phone call he had with Makayla—the girl was funny and she had a fun personality.

Notti stood up from his gaming chair as he grabbed his phone—he also grabbed the controller dd left as he exited his room going over to dd's.

Notti opened the door as he saw dd sitting on his bed with one arm under his head—before dd started looking at notti.

"Finally off the phone with that bitch?" dd asked his brother as notti quickly mugged him. "Yo what? Don't be calling her a bitch nigga." Notti said as dd then mugged him. He wasn't sure why notti was taking up for the girl. There had to be something he wasn't notified about.

"That's ya bitch or sum?" dd asked as notti shook his head no before smacking his lips. "She ma friend so don't be sitting here calling her a bitch." Notti said as dd then sat up while making a face at him.

"Yo you actin like you don't call bitches—bitches everyday." dd said with a bored face as notti rolled his eyes before going over to sit in the gaming chair.

"For one—not everyday." Notti said as he sat down before looking back at his brother. "For two—I just said she my friend dickhead." Notti said as dd laughed.

"You must want her." dd said as notti threw his head back groaning. "You friends with how many bitches—girls." Notti said catching himself as dd laughed loudly.

"But when I call a girl my friend it's a problem?" Notti asked with his eyebrows raised as dd then shook his head before standing up.

"Ight I get it—now hush so we can play da game." dd said as notti picked up the controller and dd came over to him sitting down aswell.

ᵐᵃᵏᵃʸˡᵃ ʷᵃˢ ˢⁱᵗᵗⁱⁿᵍ on her bed as she was waiting for her brother to get home—she didn't know where he was and she was honestly getting worried. As soon as Dontae dropped her off he quickly left.

Makayla sat up from her bed as she stood up. She picked up her phone—before putting her slippers on and heading over to her door.

Makayla opened her room door as she looked outside of it seeing it was nothing but the sight of the kitchen and the living room. (They live in a apartment)

Makayla sighed as she walked out—she walked over to the couch as she sat down. She was thinking about calling her brother—but he could be doing some stuff with his little 'gang'

"Gang" it had Makayla desperately worried for Dontae. How stupid could he be to even put himself in that position—he had Makayla worrying about him 24/7.

Makayla then lifted her phone up as she unlocked it quickly going to Dontae's contact—Makayla then called him as she waited for him to answer.

The phone had rang for about 10 seconds before Dontae finally answered the phone—"Dontae dude where the fuck are you?" Makayla asked worriedly as Dontae sighed over the phone.

"I'm out right now Makayla, I'm coming home around 20 ight?" Dontae said as Makayla rolled her eyes before rubbing her forehead while closing her eyes.

"Whatever Dontae—just get some food before you come back I don't care anymore." makayla said angrily before hanging up. She really didn't know what to do anymore. She couldn't control Dontae and all she ever did was worry about him—but clearly he knew what he was doing, so why try and talk some sense into him? Makayla couldn't do anything but try and trust him to come back home to her. Dontae was all she had.

Makayla just grabbed the remote that was sitting next to her as she cut on the tv going to YouTube as she waited for her brother.

THREE HOURS LATER

Dontae quietly put his keys in the doorknob of his apartment as he opened the door slightly. It was roughly 10pm at night and he had been out all day.

He felt horrible, he was supposed to come back hours ago as he promised to makayla—but he got held up. He knew Makayla was mad—not even mad, she was pissed. She had ended up falling asleep while waiting for her brother. Not to mention she was hungry and specifically asked him to bring food home.

Dontae walked in the apartment seeing Makayla knocked out cold on the couch—no blanket or anything. Dontae shook his head as he sat the cold pizza onto the counter. He didn't even get to enjoy it with his sister as he originally planned.

Dontae quickly took his shoes off before going over to Makayla's room door as he opened it—Dontae then went over to Makayla as he carefully picked her up making sure he didn't wake her.

Dontae walked him and Makayla into her room as he laid her down on the bed—Makayla did toss and turn—but Dontae put the stuffed animal she had since she was a child infront of her as Makayla cuddled it. Dontae then lifted the cover over his sister before going back into the kitchen.

Dontae quickly put the pizza in the fridge before he got ready to go to bed.
