Chapter 21~ Movie days

Me and my Brothers

Andrew's P.O.V

"Do y'all want to go see a movie? I think is one on that Denver is wanting to watch," I ask Jack and Ryan, who are sitting on the couch looking at their phones.

"Sounds good to me, maybe he will stop begging me to take him," Jack answers.

Ryan just nodded his head, and we all get up to go get ready.

I decide to tell Denver we are going instead of making it a surprise, so I head towards his room before mine. Once I get to the door, I can hear laughter, not just from Denver, either. I would know Denver's laugh anywhere, it's actually one of my favorite sounds.

I open the door to find Denver at his desk in front of his computer, smiling at the screen. When Denver notices me in the door frame, he turns his chair to me, giving me his full attention.

"Hey, little one, how do you feel about going to the movies today?" I ask, already knowing what his response will be.

"Yeah!" He immediately responds

"Okay, get ready. We'll leave in 20," I say, turning to walk out the door.

"Wait, Drew! Can Austin come and see it with us?" He asks.

"If it's okay with his parents," I tell him, smiling.

That boy has done nothing but make my baby smile for a while now. He can come anywhere with us, I'm starting to like him.

I hear a faint "thanks" as I walk down the hallway to my room.

Denver's P.O.V

"Thanks," I yell at Andrew, but he probably couldn't hear me.

"Sooo, wanna go see a movie," I ask, smiling at him while dragging out the "so."

"Anything with you, let me ask Mom," he says, getting up from his bed and going out the door. Leaving me alone.

A few moments later, Austin comes back in, shutting his door behind him.

"She said, yes!" He says, plopping back on the bed. He grabs his laptop and sets it into his lap so he can see me better.

"Sweet! Just text me your address, and we will come by and pick you up," I say

"Okay see ya in a bit, pretty boy," he says

"See ya," I say, and we both hang up.

Austin and I are almost always Facetiming. I never want to go a day without talking to him. I've said it before, but he is truly my best friend, he's my second half.

I get up and head to my closet so I can find an outfit. An old T-Shirt and three-year-old sweatpants aren't appropriate for the public eye. I pick out a pair of black, tight joggers, a plain white sweatshirt, and a green corduroy jacket. I pair it with black vans. I look at my outfit choice in the mirror, feeling proud of my pairings. Fashion is something important to me, it's a way to express myself. Austin always praises my outfits, even when they aren't that good.

(A/N~from now on when I describe outfits, they will be up top :) )

As I make my way downstairs, I see Ryan sitting on the couch playing on his phone, and Andrew is in the kitchen, wiping off the counter. Jack isn't down here yet, that boy will manage to be late to his own funeral. I take a seat by Ryan and pull out a book since Jack will probably be awhile.

"Nope, this is a family and friends kind of day, no book," Andrew says, coming from nowhere grabbing my book.

I mean, one second he was at the counter and the next he's snatching my book. He must have magical powers, there is literally no other explanation.

"Ryan, the same thing, this is a family day, no phones." Andrew continues,

Ryan just rolls his eyes but puts his phone in his pocket anyway.

"What is Jack even doing in there? He's taking forever," Ryan says quickly, growing impatient without his phone.

"Probably fixing his hair, you know he likes it to be perfect," Andrew says, still scrubbing away at the counter.

"Well, at this rate, he's going to need to carry around a fire extinguisher because he's going to be a fire hazard with all of his hair spray," I say growing impatient as well.

That gets Ryan and Andrew laughing, and soon we are all in tears.

"What did you say about my hair, baby bro?" Jack says, coming down the stairs with a flannel in his hand.

"Nothing, all I say was that it is literally a work of art, and all of the time and effort you put in it is never wasted," I say, being as sarcastic as I can possibly be.

Jack just gets me in a loose chokehold and ribs his knuckles on my scalp.

"Boys stop, we're going to be late. We still have to go get Austin," Andrew says, picking up his keys.

It's not hard to find Austin's house. He only lives about two streets away from us, which is very convenient because we always run late.

"So, we finally get to meet this Austin without all the awkward introductions?" Ryan asks form the passenger side.

"Yep," I say since there's not much more I can respond with.

"He seems pretty cool, I approve," Jack says from the seat beside me.

Once I see him walking toward us, I unbuckle and slide to the middle. I can fit more comfortably than Jack or Austin.

He smiles at me when he gets in the truck and begins to buckle. Once he's settled in the seat, Andrew drives off.

"So how did you two become friends?" Ryan asks.

"Umm, we hit it off when I was assigned a seat next to him," Austin answers. I can tell he is remembering the first time we met, and we both know that wasn't the only thing we became friends for.

"Do you play any sports?" Andrew asks.

"Unless clicking buttons on a camera classifies as a sport, then no" Austin jokes. Everyone laughs at him.

"So, you're into photography?" Andrew questions.

"Yeah I'm not very good though" He replies

"I beg to differ" I chime in

"Oh, whatever. Denver would probably argue till the day he dies that I'm good at it, but I promise you, I'm below average." Austin jokes.

"We'll all have to decide that for ourselves one day," Andrew says while parking.

Well all get out and go into the theater, the smell of butter and popcorn immediately fills my nose when I walk in. This is truly one of my favorite places to be.

We all split up once inside, Andrew goes to get tickets, Jack and Ryan get snacks, and Austin and I go get seats.

One we are all settled in our seats, and we all have our snacks. As the lights dim and the movie starts, I can't help but think about how perfect my life is at the moment. I have a family and a friend that loves me.

A/N~ I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, not much changed in this one tbh. Have a great day! Until next time 💜
