Chapter 7~lets go to the beach
Me and my Brothers
Denver's p.o.v
"Can we go to the beach?" I ask in an excited tone, as soon as we step foot in the beach house.
"Den we just got here, and you need to sleep, you hardly slept on the plane ride here" Ryan answers.
"I actually slept the whole way here," I say with a little attitude.
"Watch it, Denver, and listen to your brother! and sleeping on a plane isn't really resting, Blake" Andrew commands, obviously not a fan of the smart remark.
Rolling my eyes, I go and sit down in the huge chair in the corner of the room. I just want to go to the beach and watch the waves crash. That always reminds me everything is going to be okay. Pulling out my bookmark, I start to read. Before I know it, my eyelids were closing.
Ryan's P.O.V
I knew when Denver answered me with an attitude, he was tired. Denver isn't the one to disobey or backtalk, that's Jack's job.
"Put this in that cabinet in front of you," Andrew tells me.
Grabbing Denver's EpiPen, I put in it the cabinet. When I shut the cabinet door and look forward, I see Denver asleep in the corner chair."Not to say I told you so, but look at little one over there," I say.
"I knew Mr. Sassy pants was getting tired," Andrew says, chuckling.
Cooing at my little brother, I walk over to the chair and scoop him up, but not before taking a picture of him and posting it on Instagram.

RyanTaylor: My sleepy boy needed some rest after a long plane ride
Literally, 99% of my Instagram is Denver because he's probably the cutest thing ever (in a brotherly way obviously lol).
"Get him out of those jeans and put him to bed, I'll unpack his stuff," Andrew says
Nodding, I walk to his room for the week and lay him down on the bed. "Denver, wake up so you can put some Pjs on," I say shaking him.
All I got was some inaudible mumbling, so I sigh and unbutton his pants. After I shimmy his pants off, with zero help from his end. I place him under the covers and pull them up. Once he looks comfortable enough, I kiss his head, turn off the lights, and softly close the door behind me.
"He asleep?" Andrew asks while folding one of Denver's shirts to put it in one of the drawers.
"Yep, he's sleeping like a baby. He wouldn't even wake up to take his pants off, I had to do everything." I say, smiling as I walk over to help fold and put the clothes away.
Andrew P.O.V.
Jack went to bed as soon as we got here, and Denver just went to bed, leaving Ryan and me. Being the oldest two, a lot is resting on our shoulders, but I don't care, and neither does he. I might not have had them, but they are my kids. I would do anything for them.
"my gosh, he's small," I say, holding up one of Denver's shirts.
"I know, and it's not like we don't feed him," he says.
"He doesn't eat enough for a bird though" I reply
"No, he doesn't, and he's made like mom. She was always tiny" he says
He's right Denver's the spitting image of our mother, he's short, skinny as a stick, and he has her blue eyes. The rest of us look like our dad. Denver's the only one that looks like mom. After the accident, I couldn't look Denver without tearing up, because he looks so much like mom. Now I'm glad he does. When I look at him, I no longer have tears in my eyes, I have a smile on my face. He acts like her too. He always has his nose in a book, and he's soft-spoken. Most of the time, you can't understand a word he says. I always get onto him for mumbling but to no avail. I wouldn't trade my nerdy brother for the world, and if anyone ever hurts him or any of my brothers, they will be sorry. I could have killed that man on the plane earlier, but I didn't want Denver to see it.
"Let's get to bed; you know Denver will be up early," I say, noticing the time.
Waking up, I rub my eyes and stretch my limbs. After a few minutes of being on my phone, I get up to check on the boys. I check on the older two first, finding them both asleep. I then go to Denver's door and open it, finding the small boy in the most uncomfortable position ever. Three seasons in that position, and I would have a crick, so I decide to stretch him out so he can actually move when he gets up.
"Child, you will be the death of me," I say under my breath as I walk to him.
Satisfied with his new place in bed, I walk out, closing the door behind me. About 30 minutes later, the boys start piling out of their rooms. Denver walks out with his hair sticking out in every direction but the right one. Laughing, I see Ryan snap a picture.
"Morning sleeping beauty," I say
Denver's P.O.V
"Let's go to the beach," I say in my morning voice that I somehow managed to make sound excited.
"After you eat," Andrew says while putting a plate of eggs in front of me.
Huffing I start to eat, knowing the quicker I do, the quicker we go to the beach.
"Done!" I say with my mouth full
"Denver chew that up, you know better than to talk with your mouth full. You can go get changed into trunks, and we'll go to the beach" Andrew says
Cheering, I run into my room and try to find my trunks.
"Where are they?" I ask
"In the drawers," Ryan yells back.
I love that they just know where all my things are, it's a good thing though. I know where nothing is. Putting on my teal, gray, and dark gray striped trunks, I wait for my brothers.
~ time skip~
We spent the whole day surfing, which I got the hang of fairly quickly.
"Okay, let's go back to the house and shower, so we can eat," Andrew says
Not really complaining because I'm getting tired and hungry. I paddle to shore behind Andrew and in front of Ryan and Jack.
"What do y'all want to eat?" Andrew askes once we are all showered and dressed in nicer clothes.
"I can find something anywhere," I say since I know the question is directed at me, considering I'm the picky one.
Once they figure out a restaurant we all decide on, we pile in the rental car and head there. I got chicken strips as per usual, while the boys were a little more adventurous.
'I want you to eat all of that Denver Blake, you haven't eaten anything all day," Andrew says, giving me a pointed look.
Knowing not to argue with him when he gives me that look, I do as I'm told. After eating, we came home. All of us were worn out from surfing, so we said our goodnights and went to bed.
"Day 1 off The Bahamas was a success," I think to myself as I close my eyes.
I hear someone come in, kiss my forehead, turn the lights off, and close my door. Smiling, I drift off to sleep.
