^Naria^
Is one of the most popular dessert shops in the Academy West gate square and is located near a famous landmark, the Fountain of the Goddess Nyla.
Naria has the best location in West Gate and is very liked and frequent by the daughters of many Imperial government officials.
Just by the name alone, I understood that the owner has a good sense of business because the name has a pronunciation similar to that of Goddess Nyla.
One of the reasons that I avoided the West Gate commercial district was only partly because of real estate prices but also because of the fierce competition among the shops located near the Fountain of the Goddess Nyla.
After the plagiarism of Armand, I decided to do market research, so I went to visit Naria and the other dessert shops.
But when I saw Naria's menu, I lightly clicked my tongue.
'They to have to big of a discount for a set. I thought that the owner had a good business sense.
I can understand why the other dessert shops near Naria lowered their prices very much... But why did Naria lower so much?
I feel like this is going in a bad direction.'
After some time, I came across an interesting conversation while I did my market research in another dessert shop.
"What is it with that banner in front of Naria?"
"They copied it from Armand! You must know that Armand was the first to promote a set menu with a banner that had a word puzzle on it."
"Armand? Hmm... I think that I have heard of it. It's that shop on the East gate, right? How is the food there? Is it any good?"
"Yes, it is quite delicious. You should go there and try the whipped cream cake. It tastes absolutely heavenly."
'What a turn of event. A well-known and established shop is serving as publicity for Armand.
The plagiarism was too obvious, so it's bound to come back with a backlash.
Haaa... You all can continue this game of yours because the set menu is only the beginning. I have many more cards to play.'
The shops in the West district didn't consider the taste and quality of their products when they made the set menu.
Some of the shops maintained the quality of their products but lowered the price to much which with time will make them lose profits and other shops lowered their quality alongside the price wich will make them loose clients.
But I am just getting started because I have a new idea to promote. (ãï¼¾âï¼¾)
'Hello, summer!'
One of my cards is a new menu.
'After Armand was opened, I tested this menu several times on different occasions, and the response was really positive. I think that now is the right time to implement it.'
The weather is getting hotter, which means that summer is approaching, and the summers in the Azutea Empire are very hot and dry because of the Mediterranean climate.
The humidity is not high, which is a good thing, but the sunlight is very, very hot, so it is just the time for this menu.

"Guys, move faster!"
Armand's bulky pâtissier clapped his hands and commanded the kitchen staff.
Milo, the pâtissier, is a dessert master who used to work for the Imperial family but transferred to Maisond after he was involved in a fierce political battle with the other Imperial chefs.
Now he was the person in charge of developing the menu for Armand, our new shop in the Horun District, and was very immersed in all the changes that swept through the kitchen.
"Milo! This person here is one of the owners of Armand. She came because she wanted to participate directly in the development of the new menu."
The mysterious woman who arrived with the manager of the Maisond lowered the cloak of the robe to cover her face, making it difficult to identify her.
'These nobles pretend to be decent on the outside. But when you get to know them, they're truly full of oddballs.'
Milo clicked his tongue when she presented a strange magic tool.
"What is that? This strange thing?"
After the new magic tool appeared a new world unfolded in front of him.

With the new tool all kinds of ingredients, including fruits, could be shredded in an instant, to the point they couldn't even recognize them.
It was a terrifying yet surprising sight.
"This tool is named 'a blender'. It is quite expensive you must take good care of the blade so that it doesn't rust."
Then the woman presented another strange tool, a machine with a whipper hanging from inside of it.
Milo was so to astonished to speak when he saw the weep cream puff up like a cloud in just a few minutes.
In order to make the cream puff, Milo had to whip that cream to death, and the muscle pain he had in his arm, afterwards, was no joke.
But that whipper was spinning so fast all by itself it was a fantastic experience.
"This tool is called a 'whipping machine."
The owner provided new unseen magical tools that looked very useful in the kitchen.
'She is an employer that cares about the kitchen facilities and the staff.'
Usually, the nobles had no interest in developing the servants' facilities in order to make it easier or more proficient for them.
They just considered servants as tools that only have to obey their command.
When he realised how much the owner cared, an unknown emotion surged inside him.
Milo realised that he couldn't even estimate how much time will be saved with the help of these new tools and how much quicker the dessert production will be and also the quality could be increased with these tools.
"This is a recipe I developed. I hope that you can adjust the amount of sugar and ingredients it needs in order to suit the clients taste buds."
The strange woman left behind a recipe called a 'smoothie'.
The recipe only required the blender to blend ice and fruit together, but the beverage had a fresher and cooler taste than ice cream.
In addition to the recipe, the woman promised a huge bonus every time he completed the development of a new menu to her satisfaction.
'It's been a while since I've been so motivated.'
The reason Milo quit being an Imperial pâtissier was because he pursued money rather than honour.
So, with this motivation in mind he quickly adjusted the recipe so that the trio smoothies could have the perfect taste.
Milo described them to everyone as the 'sweet and cool angels of the dessert world'.

"What is a smoothie?"
"The drawing on the poster is so pretty."
A few young noble ladies were talking in front of the poster. Then, an employee in a neat and tidy attire approached them with drinks on a tray.
His was wearing a white shirt and dark purple trousers colored uniform and had a badge in the shape of an Armand seal attached to his shirt pocket, so the young ladies immediately recognized him as one of Armand's employees.
"My ladies, would you like to taste one of our smoothies?"
The employee smiled brightly and held out the tray.
"We are holding a tasting for a new menu at Armand, from four to five in the afternoon.
This drink is a summertime drink called a 'smoothie' and is made from mixing fruits and ice together."
The employee was very polite and the drinks colour orange, yellow and light green looked very enjoyable.
The three coloured beverages were put in small glasses that were the right size for tasting.
"Oh my! Look, the colour is just like in the picture!"
"Indeed, the colours are very pretty."
"Please, try all of them. These are healthy drinks made from fresh fruits."
At the employee's polite invitation and friendly tone, the young girls picked up the small glasses and carefully tasted them.
"I think this light green one is made from green grapes."
"And the orange one is made from melons."
"The yellow one tastes like sweet peaches."
Then, suddenly, the young ladies remembered the word puzzle game from the banner and a phrase flashed in their minds.

They finally understood the reason why there was a word puzzle with fruits on the banner while they introduced the dessert menu. It was because of these three seasonal fruit drinks.
The young ladies were reluctant to try the new drink called a smoothie at first and had originally decided to get a different kind of drink, but now they changed their minds.
Because the smoothies left them with a sweet and cool taste in their mouths.
It was a drink perfect suited for summer, cool and fresh.
"I will have the melon smoothie."
"Hmm... I want the peach one!"
Very quickly, the young ladies were served with colourful drinks in long glasses, and as soon as they drank the fresh beverage, they felt a cool sensation that made their head tingle.
After the young ladies finished their smoothies, they left with extremely satisfied faces.
"It was absolutely delicious."
"I will come again. It was the first time I had something so sweet and refreshing, and it wasn't even ice cream."
Just as the young ladies passed by the door, they saw a new poster.
