We're on a mission with Lana and Asher. They are really nice people and even if they are a few years younger than me, I clearly see why Selina chose them. They're trustworthy even if she is hiding who she really is. Here she is just S. and I have to remind myself to not call her by her name. Anyway, we are in French Polynesia, looking for a missing siren. She is the 4th daughter of King Mars and she is missing for a month now.

I could stay here forever. The sea is crystal blue and the water at the perfect temperature. I love swimming and my parents used to joke about the fact I was acting like a siren than a werewolf. Growing up, I used to go swimming five days a week, until Melissa's death. And I have to say swimming every morning is the best way to start your day!

We met King Mars 4 days ago and we are not looking for any hints, any leads that can help us to found her. Sirens can also morph into human with the help of a witch and a witch gift also the king's children grigris form them to morph whenever they want. Apparently, Morgana loves to use and abuse her grigri or she loved as nobody knows where she is now. Her sister, Naïa is with us, to help us to investigate. Sirens are very beautiful and Naïa is the typical example.

"She likes you, you know." Selina says in my back.

"Who?" I ask.

"Who you are drolling to! Naïa. And you can't take your eyes off her."

"But she has a mate!" I protest.

"Sirens are not working like us. Love and sex are two different things for them. And if they have only one love in her life, they have several sexual partners. They aren't exclusive at all. It's another way to see love even if for us it's complicated to understand." Selina explains.

"So she wants to use me as a sex toy?" I ask amused and a bit offended.

She laughs: "Do you know why they have te bad reputation of drowning the sailors. It’s because they left an unforgettable memory and if for them it’s only a one night stand for the sailors its not and they lost their minds trying to have them again.”

“In mythology, it’s only men. Why?” I ask.

“Because they were not a lot of women sailors but the result is still the same.” She replies.

“And why are telling me that?”

“Because you are attracted and I think you should go for it.”

“I’m not looking for love.” I say not understanding.

“Exactly! So why not trying meaningless sex. My mother told me sirens were really good lovers.”

“I could tell you the same with Prince Azul.” I reply.

“It’s not the same, the king knows who I am and mating his son with me would be a good leverage. Too much is expecting here.”

“Yes, I think you’re right... though I don’t know if I can have sex with Naïa.”

“Why?”

“I don’t if I’m ready.”

“You will never know if you never try. But I can feel there is more.” She says with a questioning look.

“Ahem, what if I not good enough. I mean, I’m not...”

“You’re a virgin like almost all the werewolves who are waiting for their mates. I’m a virgin too you know, I have never even kissed somebody.” She replies like it was nothing.

“I kissed a few girls but you’re right I never have sex.”

“You know werewolves are known for their stamina. All other species are envying us for that and you’re an Alpha wolf.” She says.

“You don’t put any pressure here!” I say, sarcastic.

She laughs: " I only say you want to have sex without any consequences, this is the right moment. You have no reason to wait anymore and sex is good."

"How do you know?" I tease her.

"When I feel how I can pleasure myself alone, I can't wait to see what it would be with someone." She replies with no shame.

I shake my head: " You're crazy."

"Let's make a deal." I propose.

" I will fuck her if you promise me you will kiss or fuck when you meet someone that you desire. You don't have to wait anymore too."

"Deal! It's time for me too, I think. But Promise me you will have sex with her only if you want too."

"I promise!" I say smiling.

"And you are really bad, I swear we will never come back on this part of the earth. Even if it will be a shame as this place is so beautiful!" She teases me.

"Fuck you!" I reply.

"You wish!" She says with a wink.

"Let's go back to work." I say and she nods.

Morgana was trapped by a wizard that kept her prisoner after they slept together. He wanted her to choose him as his mate. Selina was not lying when she said having sex with a siren is driving people crazy.

This mission is a success because of Asher and Lana. Naïa is hitting on me so hard that I can’t focus on anything else and Selina... Well, something is up with Selina and I don’t what exactly. I need to find the time to talk in private with her but with Naïa who is following me everywhere, I didn't find the time yet. We are on a yacht, invited at a party for Morgana. We couldn’t decline without upsetting them. So here we are.

"Why are refusing my wife's advance?" Marius, Naïa’s mate, asks me.

"I-I, Uhm, I.." I stutter.

"Don't you find her attractive?" He asks offended.

“Yes! No! I mean, of course, she is attractive!”

“Then where is the problem?”

“There’s no problem.”

“Good, she is waiting for you the third room on the right.” He replies and leaves before I could protest.

“What’s the fuck just happened?” I mutter.

“You just have been tricked to have sex with Naïa." Selina says in my back. She is sitting on the bar drinking her back at me.

"Thanks, Captain Obvious!" I reply sarcastically.

"Hey, you don't have to do this if you don't want." She says looking at me now.

"I don't know what I want. I do think I need to if I don't want to create a diplomatic incident. Sirens are really special." I whisper the last part only for her ears.

"I know. Still don't do it if you don't want to."

"She is really hot and I would lie if I say I didn't about fucking her during the week. I just don't like to be forced." I explain.

"Oh... Okay. In this case, don't let her wait too much. Sirens are not patient creatures." She replies.

"Is it bothering you?" I ask surprised by her reaction.

"No, of course, no. I just want you to be happy." She says.

"Can you tell me what's going on with you?" I ask.

"Noth-"

"Come on, S! I know you." I cut her.

"I'm summoned in the castle in 3 days to speak about my behavior. And I don't know what did I do wrong?"

"Maybe, it's for your good behavior." I say optimistic.

"It's not, trust me." She says finishing her drink.

"I can come with you if you want. You don't have to do this alone." I tell her.

"We will see but thank you." She replies with a small smile. An honest smile, which is what matters.

"Go now before Marius comes back. And enjoy yourself." She adds.

"Good morning!" I hear three voices say at the same time.

I groan in answer while I’m sitting at our table for breakfast.

"Someone didn't sleep a lot last night." Lana teases me and Selina and Asher snort.

"Hey, I just did my duty to avoid a diplomatic incident." I protest not convinced by my own words. They all laugh at me.

"Sirens are super weird! Morgana harassed me all the party. She was so persistent that it became scary! I will never ever save a siren again!" Asher says putting his hand on his heart.

True as he and Lana saved her, she wanted to repay Asher with sex. It got worst when she learned he was a virgin, waiting for his mate. Thank goddess, Naïa didn’t realize I was too.

“So how was your night?” Selina asks me.

“It was... interesting.”

“Come on, you could give us some details! Interesting, what a shitty answer.” Lana complains.

Before I can speak, Marius approaches our table and says: “Thank you, Tom. My wife is really satisfied and you kept her all night! Good job!” And he just leaves after he shook my hand.

This is so surrealist!

“See! Crazy they are. Who is coming to thank you for fucking his mate in real life?!” Asher says still not believing what’s just happened.

“So back to reality, how was it?” Lana asks after a few minutes of silence.

I groan:” Do I have to answer that?”

“Of course, in this table, you’re the only one who passed on the other side.” Asher says air quoting another side.

I sigh, they will not give up: “ It was good, great even. I just wish I could have that with my mate. It’s was so good without any feeling, I can only imagine how good it would have been with the love of your life.”

“Sorry.” Asher says guilt written on his face.

“At least, you kept the werewolf’s reputation high.” Selina jokes trying to lighten up the mood.

“Something is wrong?” She asks me.

“No!” I shrug.

“ so why are looking at like that?”

“Sorry, I was just thinking about my mate.”

That and the fact you were the one in my mind last night. Melissa didn’t cross my mind once as you’re in all the time. What’s wrong with me?

“You’re falling for her.” My wolf says.

“I thought you were dead. You didn’t speak to me for the last six months! Good to know you’re alright.” I tell him.

“You’re not the only one who is coping with his mate’s death. I will try to be more involved with you now.”
