"What do you think you're doing?"
Merritt rushed forward, stepping between Christine and Dailey, shielding her protectively.
Gregory grabbed Dailey by the arm, pulling him back.
Dailey, who was about to yank Christine away, hesitated.
Merritt, usually so gentle and composed, glared at Dailey with blazing eyes and shouted, "This is my home. Get out!"
Dailey casually wiped the corner of his mouth with his thumb, his gaze on Christine intense and unwavering.
"Christine, come with me."
Christine felt an overwhelming urge to punch him.
"Merritt, call the police."
Merritt promptly obliged.
As Dailey moved forward again, Gregory held him back once more.
Jane stood protectively in front of Christine. "Mr. Clarkson, you've broken up. If you keep forcing her, I'll have to inform your family to intervene."
"I never agreed to the breakup."
Dailey's eyes narrowed. "Christine, if you want to relax here for a while, that's fine."
"But if you think you'll be with him," he gestured with a long, elegant finger, "that's not happening."
Christine spat in defiance, wiping her mouth furiously. "You didn't agree to the breakup? You personally said so at my house!"
"That was conditional..."
"I donât care what conditions you have!" Christine cut him off angrily. "You agreed, and that's that!"
"Don't use your love as a weapon to manipulate me. If you really cared about me, you wouldn't make me miserable!"
"Those conditions are just another way to control me. Let me tell you, I, Christine, won't be bound by anyone."
"My only family is Jane, whereas you have the entire Clarkson family. If this escalates, you'll be the ones who lose out!"
If Dailey were afraid of that, he wouldn't be standing here today.
"Try me."
Christine was momentarily speechless, so Jane interjected, "Greg, there aren't enough rooms here. You and your brother should find a hotel in town."
"Besides, Mr. Clarkson isn't exactly used to the rustic charm of country beds."
Gregory knew he had to choose a side.
But before he could speak, Dailey lunged forward, grabbing Christine's wrist and pulling her towards the door.
Merritt quickly grabbed Christine's other hand.
"Let go!"
Dailey's voice was ice-cold as he tugged Christine towards him.
Seeing Christine wince in pain, Merritt immediately released her hand.
"Sis... I'm sorry."
"You've done nothing wrong, why apologize?"
Christine wasn't about to fall into his trap.
If she said "go ahead," it would imply she was forgiving him.
The police, however, were being stalled at the entrance by Primo, who was negotiating with them.
Dailey continued to drag Christine away.
Jane moved to stop him, but Christine covered her friend's mouth with her hand.
"Iâll handle this."
Christine realized the police wouldn't solve this, so it was up to her.
"Dailey."
She fixed her gaze on him, asking, "Are you really so obsessed with me, that no one else will do?"
Without missing a beat, Dailey replied, "Yes."

"Sis..." Merritt was the first to object.
Christine shot him a look that silenced him immediately.
