April 29th , The Party Night
Ravin picked us up sharply at 6pm. He said us to dress normal as he had bought separate costume and planned everything for us. During the 1hr travel, I asked him where we were going , he replied within one word 'SURPRISE'. I was amazed at how Alankrita and Ravin got with each other in an 1hr ride. They were went on talking forgetting that I existed. She didn't even give a hint that we weren't together but I knew that he knows the truth. We reached the farm house which was double the size of our house. It was his uncle's so he had asked permission to use it for our party. When we stepped down, Nikita, Ravin's girlfriend greeted us. She took Alankrita to a direction while Ravin took me to another direction. I watched her till she was out of my sight.
I was dressed up in an Oxford blue pant with a light blue shirt and Oxford blue blazer.
" Enna da intha color thaan kidachitha.. vera color vaangirukalam la " I asked him.
Ravin: " unaku laam vaangi tharathey perusu mooditu po da "
I gave him an annoyed look. We went to the back garden which was such a beauty. I was excited with the thought of her reaction to this decoration. There were all my batch mates, I greeted everyone. Then there was a mysterical silence, I looked in the direction where everyone saw with their jaw dropped.
It was my wife.. Krit...ummm.. Alankrita. She was...God !! How can I describe a beauty in beautiful words. She was heavenly. She was wearing a choli. The upper part of the dress was in an Oxford blue color matching my blazer and the skirt was in deep sky blue color. The top was a sleeveless one. Her neck had a V shape cut where a small butterfly shaped dollar hung from the chain which hugged her neck. There were matching earrings which glittered in the dark. Her hair was perfectly set with few strands of curls touching her earrings. Her lips...they were in cerise color. I yearned to hold her tight on my arms at that moment. I didn't expect there will be a song welcome for her as there were none for me. ð
" Kulu kulu venpani pola..
Sala sala salladaiyaaga..
Pala pala karpanai modha..
Parakkava un ninaipaaga.. âï¸"
She lifted her head & shyly looked at me slowly walking towards me.
And those magical eyes met mine.. that eye lock got my heart rate increasing. I started to sweat.. she was pleasingly divine ð¶ð¶.
Nikita made her to stand next to me. I stared at her which made her to look at me. After few minutes, everyone shouted together and asked us to dance. When my heart wanted to but waited for her response, I stood still.
We were pulled to the centre. She looked at me as I looked her. Her curls danced even before we started to dance.
" May I ? " I asked by lending her my hand
Her hands slowly reached mine. When my other hand surrounded her waist and hers placed on my shoulder. Her eyes met mine with confused questions targetting me.
As I twirled her she was like a princess from those Cindrella stories. When the song number kept changing to next romantic songs , the intense feeling in my heart was increasing, her both hands were around me with her palms on the back side of my neck, that touch.. without me realizing I pulled her close by her waist, I didn't know what she felt.. she distanced herself from me saying that she was thirsty. With every step she walked away I felt pain imprinting on my heart.
A voice called me and my thoughts were disturbed. I turned back to see it was Aravind bro. My senior , I am seeing him after ages as he was never in contact after pass out. I ran and hugged him.
"ANNA... enna oru surprise.. neenga epdi.. ungala epdi contact pananga.. enaala kooda ungala contact pana mudila aprm epdi.. ? "
Aravind: " Paara enna nyaabagam iruka sir ku, aen da contact kidaikala na apdiye vitruviya, un friend enna epdi kandupidichi kootitu vanthirukaan paaru "
I smiled at Ravin. We three went on talking all the good and bad memories we never got to share. That's when he asked where is my wife, won't I introduce her, I totally forgot her, what an idiot I am. My eyes searched her, she was nowhere to be seen. My heart started to race. I searched her all around the garden, no she wasn't there. I went inside the farm house, there were about 8 big rooms, I searched in the ground floor while Ravin searched on the first floor , still she wasn't found.
I shouted her name till my throats went dry. 45 mins passed ,I started getting anxious, I started to sweat, unknown fear stabbed me with different reasons, my palms went cold they were trembling, I hit my legs on the rock and I was about to fall when Ravin holded me. I hugged him and cried. He made me to sit. He said she will be somewhere here and we will find her but I wasn't in a state to listen to anything. Ravin's phone rang, it was Nikita. I felt his hand on my shoulders.
Ravin: Thangachi kidachita da.
" Enga da Iruka? vaa polam " I pulled him
Ravin: Macha oru nimisham
" Enna da aprm pesikalam va polam first uh" I said to him.
Ravin: " Ava mayakathula iruka. Cold drink kudichiruka pola athula etho mix agiruku. Garden oda end ku poiruka pola, apo alcohol effect high ah irunthuchu pola mayakam vanthu vilunthiruka.. Namma anga poi thedalaye. Nikita incase anga irunthirukalam nu poi pathiruka.. and found her on the ground "
The anxiousness were filled with anger inside me. I rushed to the place where everyone were gathered. Ravin ran behind me. My eyes searched where it was going wrong and I found my classmate mixing something in the drink and drinking with a gang. I ran towards him and holded him by his collars, and thrashed him which made him to fall on the ground. Ravin stopped me from beating more. He scolded that person for what he was doing, he apologized to us but still I couldn't calm myself. And I just cursed myself for my foolishness that instead of rushing to her, I was wasting my time here.
I walked fast towards the house and reached the door step that's when Ravin stopped me.
"Enna da panra, vazhi vidu va ulla polaam "
Ravin: "Macha listen to me carefully"
I listened as he holded my shoulders
Ravin: "You are... in love with her"
I brushed off his hands and gave him a shocked reaction. He took my hand and placed it on my heart.
Ravin: " nee ava apdi oru nilamai la irukanu therinjitu athuku kaaranama irunthavana poi adichitu vanthiye.. that anger wasn't a mistake it was your hint that showed how much you want her to be safe..those weren't just care in your eyes it is your love for her.. "
Tears welled up in my eyes. I knew what he was trying to make me realise and I too knew that well. I pushed him and tried to go inside but no I couldn't.
Ravin: " Nee enna va ulla poga pora ? "
I said nothing but just stood looking down.
Ravin: " If you are going to go inside as a person who cares for her then stop here, we are there to care for her but if you are going to go as her husband not just for name sake but as her husband accepting her with your whole heart.. you can move further "
I looked at him. The tears which were welled up , decided to fall and wet my cheeks.
" I LOVE HER " was all that I could say at that moment and hugged him wiping my tears. The unimaginable truth striked me like a lightning. He broke the hug with a smile.
Ravin: " Go get her, grab her,hug her, love her.. to the extent that she doesn't want to go anywhere other than your arms "
I ran inside pushing the door and entered the room..there she was.. lying like a feather on the bed. Nikita gave a hug and left. Ravin said that we could leave after she wakes up and he will handle the guests outside. I just nodded.
Looking her I realised that my unhealed wounds had been yearning for her love all this while and to recover and shower her the love she desrved.
I went near her and laid down beside her.. I slowly lifted her head and made her down on my arms, she turned towards me. Her face was closer than ever for the first time. I caressed her head and my hands reached her cheeks, they were soft it felt as if I was touching a rose petal. I couldn't control my tears which kissed the pillow I laid on. I closed my eyes and moved an inch closer and placed a kiss on her forehead. And I moved back and opened my eyes, she was staring at me. I was shocked. Her eyes holded a strong pain in them.. her lips quivered..
Alankrita : " Don't I deserve your love after all I went through ? " She asked the question in a trembling voice staring straight into my eyes.. it broke my heart to see her.. what have I done to this lovable woman..
She murmured " I know you had a past.. let it bleed but let me heal ! "
I wiped her tears. She was still in an intoxicated state. She moved little closer and hugged me with her cheeks pressing against my beard. There was an adrenaline rush inside me. This level of proximity was totally new to me.. new to us.. but no I can't hold myself more and I hugged her back.
She moved her head back and I looked into her eyes.. she smiled at me.. God!! This woman make my feel arouse even in this state. Then I didn't expect something to happen !!
She smiled , pulled me closer and slowly pressed her lips on mine. Her cold lips were trembling but when they met mine, it had a warmth, I didn't reciprocate as I knew she was doing everything without consciousness and I don't want it to be in this way. She again moved back, I lifted her head and planted a kiss on her forehead again and peck on her cheeks, she blushed... She was cute even when she blushed in the state of intoxication .. and rested her head in my chest listening to the music my heart was playing. I whispered in her ears " You deserve all my love in this world Alankrita.. you will feel it soon" she moved as if she was hearing me and I held her tight never wanting to let her go from my arms.
After sometime, I lifted and took her to car and we drove home. She woke up and asked
" Enaachu .... ? "
