Avery's POV

"Black or blue?" Mona asks raising each dress in the air.

"Why even ask when you're gonna choose the blue anyways." I say not looking up from my phone where I was looking through different makeup looks on Pinterest.

"Good point." She tosses the black dress at me and tells me to try it on.

I nod and walk over to mirror on the door inside Mona and Graces closet.

I pull off my cropped hoodie and leggings and pull on the body con dress.

It was low cut showing a good amount of cleavage. The straps to the dress were thin and created an 'x' on the open back of the dress. The entire dress clung to my curves nicely.

"What do ya think?" I ask Mona as I twirl in her direction.

She doesn't waste a second to give me a once over and tells me to spin one more time but slower. I turn to look at her inquisitive face. It breaks out into a smile and she nods her head.

"You look like a fucking queen!" She shouts while snapping all over the place.

"You can keep the dress if you want."

Mona stands up from her spot on the bed where she was waiting for me to finish choosing an outfit.

"Doesn't fit me right." She shakes her head as if recalling a memory. "I looked more like a garbage bag than anything."

We walk over to her vanity.

"Makeup time!" I shout grabbing a primer in her drawer and starting.

I arrive back at home with Mona at around 7:00ish. The party would start at 9:00 but we had nothing better to do so figured we'd just head over here.

I walk down the hall but see Victor sitting in front of it with a beer in his hand.

"Hey." He takes a sip of his beer and stays in his spot. What the hell is he doing?

"Are you gonna move or..?" Mona asks Victor, playing with the hem of her dress. The navy blue fabric was tight around her torso but flared out creating a few ruffles at the hips.

Apparently it gave her actual shape which she soon regretted saying as I gave her my speech about how she was perfect. Even if she compared herself to a twig.

"Can't." Victor tells me with an apologetic smile.

"You realize this whole thing is pointless since the party will most likely be on the entire floor since all the other rooms are empty." I have no idea if this was true but it was worth a shot.

His smile falls. "Dammit. Why couldn't you have been oblivious like Bentley?"

"No ones as oblivious as Bentley." I say to him.

"At least tell them I tried so they don't hide the alcohol from me?" He grabs my shoulders and pleads at me.

"Sure." I say knowing parties without alcohol are usually pretty shitty.

"This is why you're my favorite roommate." Victor whispers to me. He grabs the key from his back pocket and opens the door and walks in.

Mona and I follow behind and make our way to the kitchen where I notice all the alcohol is placed.

"Really Victor? You had ONE job." Callum spits out once his eyes see me standing there in a dress, ready for a party.

"She beat the system." He shrugs and walks over to the couch.

"I will seriously throw you out a window if you don't leave!" Keegan yells from what I'm assuming is his room.

Why'd he even care?

Before my mind can wander and create crazy theories which definitely weren't true, Axel stops in front of Mona and I wearing a serious expression.

"I need to talk to both of you before the party." Before I can refuse or ask about what he grabs both of our hands in his and drags us away.

I should've noticed something weird was going on when he passes his room and then passes mine and makes his way down to Callum and Bentley's room instead.

Before I know it Mona and I are being shoved into the room by him and the door is slammed. I hear the sound of a key twisting in the lock.

I look down at the door and see I was in fact correct when I notice that I couldn't get out from inside.

Only seconds later I hear the sound of furniture being pushed around.

"Sorry. We needed space." Dawson yells from somewhere else in the flat.

It's then that the anger settles in and I realize that they locked us in a room. They fucking locked us in here!

"What the fuck!" I yell as I twist at the door in hopes it magically pops open.

"You can't do that!" I yell out not sure if anyone was listening to me.

"They really did that." I ask still fidgeting with the door handle.

"Your roommates are insane." Mona says looking around the boys room.

"Did they really buy and install a new door so they could lock you in here?" She picks up a football from the floor that was relatively clean.

"Oh my god, they did." I say just now realizing that the door handle was different from the rest of the doors around the house.

I'm so slow.

"So, how are we getting out of here?" She asks tossing the football up and down from her seat on the floor under the window.

"I would say fake an accident but the only one gullible enough to believe me is Bentley and that's why he wasn't in charge of this." So that's why I hadn't seen him around.

"Do we know anyone coming to the party?" She asks looking away from the ball and to me.

"I don't know. Anyone from your dorm?" I ask taking a seat next to her.

"I don't think so." And they wouldn't help us anyways. Not the ones who'd show up at least. That much was obvious. If they knew I was in here.

Mona suddenly perks up. "We do know someone who has 24/7 access in your flat though..." she drifts off. I already know it's a bad idea. So does she.

Uh oh. "Who?"

"Sawyer?" Mona says smiling at me in hopes to gain my approval.

Mona hadn't met Sawyer yet, just heard about her through me and my stories about her and Elliot. She'd said she wanted to meet her soon though.

"No." I immediately tell her.

"There's no way I'm getting Sawyer involved.Elliot didn't want her here for a reason." I state sternly.

"I'm not risking her safety so she can drag us out for some stupid party. It's not worth it."

"But the party isn't for another two hours. Can't she come before and offer her boyfriend some sexual favor so he'll let us out at least?" She asks. I laugh at the thought of that happening.

Sawyer was your cliche good girl. She was still a virgin and said she wanted to wait till marriage which I admired about her.

Then again I admired Mona for not listening to what people said about her and doing what she wanted with her body because she could.

"Sawyers not like us Mona. She's...good." I say suddenly feeling somber.

"You're not a bad person Avery. Never have been and never will be." I lean my head on Mona's shoulder as she reassured me that I'm not a total mess.

Although her words went in one ear and right out the other.

At some point we stopped talking and didn't pick up conversation again. It was silent but not awkward. It never was with her.

I was the first to move. I stood up and walked over to the tv the boys had in the room and grabbed the remote, flicking it on. I grazed through the channels until I found something acceptable to watch.

Mona had moved too and was now sitting in the desk chair, she'd moved it by the window though.

I know a lot of time passes as I can hear people start to enter the flat and some music blasting now.

I hear an intake of breath and hear the football Mona was holding drop to the ground.

I look over and see an unknown look on her face. It was a mix of horrified, confused, and angry mixed in one.

"Mona?" I ask breaking her out of the trance she was in. "You alright?" I ask her oddly.

She stands up from her chair and makes her way over to me.

"I need you to stay calm and listen to me okay?" She asks slowly. Her expression was the same but her voice was calming.

"What's wrong?" I ask tensing up.

"Look I'm not even sure if i saw correctly. And if I did that I'm sure it's no big deal."

I nod slowly. What she's saying made no sense. What was going on?

"Mona, you're seriously freaking me out. What's going on?" I ask shutting off the tv and standing up next to her.

"I saw...Lilianna. She was heading in the building for the party."
