I was getting ready for school, when I suddenly received a text message from Nate.

I was sitting in my history class, not paying attention, when the teacher suddenly asked me a question.
"So Alaska, could you please repeat what I just said?", my teacher asked.
"Uhm I didn't really pay attention...", I admitted.
"That's what I thought.", she said.
Why is she trying to embarrass me? Ugh I'm so sick of this.
"So, what were you thinking about? I mean it has to be way more important than my lesson, if you don't pay attention."
Suddenly everyone started laughing.
"I uh-"
"You what?", she mimicked me.
How can she be a teacher?
"I was just thinking about how you made it to be a teacher. I mean you're acting like an actual child.", I laughed bitter.
Suddenly the classroom was quiet.
I felt all eyes on me.
"What did you just say?", she answered shocked.
"You heard exactly what I said."
"Alaska Bailey, you're going to apologize to me. Right now!", she yelled.
Should I apologize? I probably went a little to far.
Before I could think about it I said:
"Why should I? You're the one who disturbed me while I tried to distract myself from your boring lesson!"
oops. It just came out.
Everyone gasped. I looked around the room, before I saw Nates eyes all over me. He's probably enjoying this.
"That's enough, Alaska! You will be having detention after school!"
This can't be true. I can already feel Nate laughing his ass off.
"That's not fair!", I said, trying to talk her out of this.
"Well, I don't care! Now stop talking!", she yelled.
"Why are you acting like such a bitch?", I heard someone say.
If i'm being honest, I know who that someone is.
It just wouldn't make sense. I turned around to see if I was right. And yes, Nate Flores just stood up for me.
But why?
"ENOUGH! Detention for both of you!", my teacher yelled.
I pretty sure that her face turned red.
Then I looked at him. Our eyes met. I felt something in my stomach. I smiled at him.
He looked away.
Great! You just made a fool out of yourself, Laska.
Why don't you stand up and propose to him.
