Doctor Lottie's POV (Brentin's pack doctor)
I was sitting in my room looking over the results of the DNA test we had performed. No one else was to know about it besides me, Quan and Alpha Allen. Alpha Allen wanted to know who the father of Julie's baby was so that he could tell Aaryana. Quan and I were just following his orders. While I was looking over the results, there was a knock on my door. "Come in." I said. Once I seen who it was, I wanted to cuss him out, but then I saw his face, stained with tears and just held my tongue. "What do you want?" I asked gently. I tried to hide my pity, but I knew that was a lost cause when he wiped his tears and looked at me with a blank expression.
"I want to know if he is really his, or mine." Alpha Brentin told me with a confidence I haven't seen in a while. I was shocked, and looking at him, it's a safe bet to say he was too. I gave him a genuine smile. He finally is acting like an alpha again!
"Yes, I've got the results. He is..." I trailed off because I knew that Alpha Allen wanted to know before anyone else did. "I'm sorry Alpha Brentin; I have to let Alpha Allen know who the father is before I can tell you. I am working under his orders, since he has taken over the pack." I told him.
"Well, when are you going to tell him?" He asked.
"He should be here in the next 30 minutes or so. So until then, I can't tell anyone besides Aaryana's pack doctor, Quan." I told him. He let out a defeated sigh and looked at me.
"I know you don't like me. But, when you get the chance, after letting Alpha Allen and Quan know of course, would you tell me who the father is?" He asked me.
"Yeah, I can do that." I told him. I then watched him give me a sad smile and walk out of my office.
Brentin's POV
Why would Alpha Allen want to know who the father was? Why couldn't she just tell me? Why should Quan know who the father is? Will they tell Aaryana if it comes out to be mine? What if it's Alpha Kip's? No, it can't be...I mean he looks just like me, so there is no way he can belong to Kip, right? As these questions kept running through my mind, I decided to go to my room and wait for the pack doctor to call me so she can tell me who his father is.
Once I got to my room, I went over to my window. I saw Aaryana outside with some guys from her 'pack'. How did she even get a pack? The alpha gene only goes to one child, right? So if her brother has the gene, how did she get it? As I was watching her, I noticed her father walk over to her and start talking to her. I couldn't make out what he was saying, but she gave him a small smile and nodded. Then he walked away from her. He was heading to the pack doctor's office, with another guy beside him. Must be Aaryana's pack doctor. What was his name? Something that starts with a "Q". I don't know.
They finally reached the pack doctor's door and knocked. Seconds later they went in.
Alpha Allen's POV
I was walking to the pack doctor's office, when I seen Aaryana, her beta, third in command, warrior and pack doctor standing outside talking. So instead of going straight to Brentin's pack doctor's office, I went to talk to her and to get Quan. "Aaryana, did you find anything else out about Julie and Kip's plans?" I asked her.
"No. She is healing right now, I can't have her bleeding to death on us while we are interrogating her. But as soon as she is healed, I'll be back down there to interrogate her some more." She told me. "Where you headed off to?"
"I am going to see Lottie, Brentin's pack doctor. She finally got the DNA results back on Julie's son. It's time to figure out if the child is Brentin's or Alpha Kip's." I told her. "Quan is supposed to come too, I told her to let Quan and I know before she let's Brentin or anyone else know. Quan and I will let you know who the father is." She gave me a small smile and nodded. "I'll be back once I find out." After saying that, I turned around, with Quan and walked to the pack doctor's office.
Once I knocked on the door, I instantly heard the doctor say "Come in." Quan and I walked in to see her staring at the results. She looked at me and said, "According to the results, the father is Kip. But then according to Brentin's test, he is also the father."
I looked at her in shock. "Are you sure?" I asked.
"Yes, I am sure. Somehow, they both share the same DNA, so they are both the father. Well, until I can do a blood test." She stated.
"But, how is that possible?" I asked. I have never heard of anything like this. Unless..."Is there anyway that Damian and Jasmine had more than one baby? Twins? Triplets?"
"I don't know. I would have to look at the records from when Jasmine gave birth. But it would explain the results. Let me go find those birth records." She said. While she was looking through the birth records, Quan and I was just sitting there in a stunned silence. She came back about ten minutes later. "I found the records. Turns out Jasmine and Damian had twin boys. They gave one up for adoption and kept Brentin. According to this file, they are identical twins, and the odds of them having the same DNA is like 3 out of 1,000. So it is very rare, but phenomonal at the same time."
"Alright, so Kip and Brentin could be twins?" I asked.
"Let me see if I still have enough of his DNA to take another test." She said. Wait, how did she get his DNA?
"Lottie, if I can ask, how did you get Kip's DNA?" I asked.
"Julie had went to visit him one night, and according to her, he got into a fight with some rogues, got cut up pretty good. But with him being an Alpha, he healed quickly. Just not quickly enough because he got blood on her shirt that she was wearing. Rachel, the old Beta female, found the shirt and brought it to me for testing, after she overheard Julie talking to Kip on the phone. The shirt also had some of his hair on it. Perfect for doing DNA testing." She told me. She quickly got to work doing another DNA test. This time to see if Brentin and Kip are siblings or not. Another 30-45 minutes later and she had the results. "Well, according to this test, Brentin and Kip are twins." I nodded my head and turned to leave. Before leaving I turned around to see Quan following me. So I stopped and started to speak.
"Ok. Well keep trying to see who the real father is. I need to go tell Aaryana what we have learned so far." I told her. "Quan you stay here and help her. There's got to be another way to find out who the father is." He nodded to let me know that he heard me. I walked out of the doctor's office with a heavy heart.
How do I tell Aaryana this? Do I tell her now? Do I wait until they find out who the real father is? What do I do? I looked up and seen that I was almost to Aaryana. Well, this is going to be interesting to say the least. I quickly slowed my pace so that I wouldn't reach her that fast.
Aaryana's POV
I watched as my dad slowed his pace. A little too slow. He must not have gotten good news and don't want to tell me. But, I got to know. So, I walked up to meet him. "Hey dad, what did you find out?" I asked curiously.
"You know, curiosity killed the cat?" He asked me.
"Well then thank the moon goddess that I'm a wolf. So what did you find out?" I asked again.
"Well...how do I put this?" He whispered the last part, but I was close enough to hear it.
"Uh, how about truthfully? Come on, it can't be that bad, can it?" I asked. He looked at me, and the look in his eyes broke my heart. He looked utterly helpless. Defeated.
"Well, Kip and Brentin are both the father. They are twins. So we won't know who the real father is until Quan and Lottie break down each of their DNA." He said. I felt like I just got punched in the stomach. Brentin had a twin? How come no one else knew of this?
"Dad, how come none of this pack knew that he had a twin?" I asked.
"Because Damian and Jasmine gave his twin up for adoption." He said. I looked at him shocked.
"Does Brentin know? Do you think that this is the reason that Kip wants to take over this pack? Because he thinks that it's his birth right?" I asked.
"Brentin doesn't know, that I know of. Lottie didn't even know until she went through the birth records. Looks like the only ones who knew were Damian and Jasmine. This could be why Kip wants to take over this pack. But, I don't know." He said.
"Well, let's go find out if Brentin did know. Let's find out if Julie knew." I said, then I started walking back to Brentin's pack house. Once I got inside, I told one of his pack members to tell him to meet me in the meeting room. Ten minutes later he was in the meeting room, along with my dad and I. "Brentin, I have a question. I want an honest answer." I told him.
"What's the question?" He asked.
"Did you know that you have a twin brother?" I asked him. He looked shocked.
"No. This is the first I'm hearing of this. Besides, if I had a twin, my parents would have told me. What are you getting at?" He demanded.
"Well, if you don't have a damned twin, tell me how you and Kip both are the father of Julie's baby? How the hell does the baby have both of you guys' DNA?" I growled out. He looked taken aback. Well, I guess he really didn't know.
"I have to go talk to my parents. I don't know how the baby has both, mine and Kip's DNA, but I will find out. This is ludicrous." He stated. Then he walked out of the meeting room, slamming the door. Thirty minutes later, him, his mom and dad came back into the meeting room.
"What is the meaning of this?" Jasmine asked.
"Well, the meaning of this is to find out how the fuck Brentin and Kip have the same damned DNA. With only a slight difference in it. How the hell they are both the 'father' of the baby?" I asked. Jasmine and Damian both paled. Jasmine looked at Damian and he nodded, telling her to go ahead and say what she needed.
"Well, Brentin had a twin brother. We never named him. As soon as he was born, he was adopted by another alpha family that couldn't have kids. Damian and I already had our hands full with running the pack and Brentin, so we adopted his brother out." She said as tears started flowing out of her eyes.
"Alright, well that's all we needed to know." I said, then walked out of the meeting room. Once I left the meeting room, I went outside, hopped in my car and drove back to my father's territory. Once I got there, I went up to my brothers room and into the adjoining room. I watched over my babies and then finally fell into a restless sleep.

How's that for a twist? Brentin and Kip are long lost twins! Is that why Kip wants to take over the pack? Or does he just want to get revenge on the pack? Is he jealous? Does he even know that Brentin is his brother? His twin brother at that?
