Chapter 04

I smiled, gently stroking Mia's hair as she slept peacefully beside me. She sighed, and moved closer to me, pressing her face into my chest. I didn't care if I looked like a creep since I was watching her sleep. How could I not stare at the most perfect girl in the world?

Looking at the clock, I gently shook Mia, trying to wake her up. Normally, I'd happily sleep in with her in my arms, but we planned on going to this cafe for breakfast.

"Mia, it's time to wake up," I whispered.

"But I don't want to get up," she whined, scooting even closer to me.

I chuckled, and gently moved her face so she was looking at me. I started to pepper her face with kisses until she finally opened those beautiful eyes of hers. She smiled and leaned, kissing my in the lips before quickly pulling away.

"Morning," she smiled.

"Morning."

Mia got out of bed and headed to the washroom, most likely to take a shower. I went to the living room to see Levi and Ben playing blackjack. Ben kept glaring at his brother while Levi laughed. It was obvious Ben was bad at blackjack. The only card games he was good at was solitaire and war.

I watched as Levi continued to defeat Ben before the door to my room opened. Mia came out wearing a simple white shirt and shorts before Sarah walked out of hers. They talked amongst themselves, making me frown because I didn't have her attention.

But I didn't do anything after Mia threatened to make me sleep out in the living room if I kept annoying her.

I was glad that Jacob pulled Sarah away from Mia to talk to her, causing my girlfriend to join Ben, Levi and I at the couch.

"Still can't beat him?" Mia chuckled, seeing Ben's distressed face.

Ben ignored her, concentrating on the game before he sighed with frustration. "I give up," he grumbled.

Levi laughed. "You did the right thing."

"Whatever," Ben scoffed. When he saw Sarah, Ben's eyes lit up and he made his way towards her.

I whenever Ben was with Sarah, he liked to tease her a lot. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary since Ben liked to mess with Sarah from time to time.

Once I was finished taking a shower and Levi and Jacob were done a card game, we left for the cafe.

There were a lot of people already there, but luckily we were able to get in. We all ate once the food we ordered arrived, and I could tell everyone was enjoying.

No one really minded that Ben was ordering a few more things since we were going to split the bill. However, when Ben looked at his brother with begging eyes, we all knew that Ben didn't have enough money to cover his meal.

Mia frowned when I told her I was going to pay for her. We had a quiet and short argument until I took her bill - before she could read the price - and paid her meal along with mine.

Making our way home, Levi, Ben, Jacob and I were waiting for the girls to come to the pool. I plan on teaching Mia how to swim so she wasn't scared of drowning anymore.

She reluctantly agreed, but I knew she was thinking about quitting as we walked to the deep end of the pool.

"You don't need to worry, Mia," I reassured her. "As long as I'm with you, you're not going to get hurt."

"You have me too!" Ben added as he went beside her.

Mia chuckled.

At least we're lightening the mood for her.

I stopped walking when we reached a comfortable depth of the pool for her.

"First thing's first," Ben said. "Let go of your fear of drowning."

"Easier said than done," Mia scoffed.

"If you weren't scared of being in the forest with with a bunch of strangers with guns, then I'm sure you're brave enough to go overcome the fear of drowning," Ben stated.

Mia stayed silent at Ben's words, and he grinned knowing she knew he was right.

"Let's just get this over with," Mia said.

The first thing we told Mia was to get used to floating. We simply just let her hold onto the side of the pool, and let her legs float out behind her. We showed her how to float on her back with her limbs spread out-like a starfish.

When we told her that she'd have to go underwater and learn how to exhale underwater, she immediately protested. Sarah showed her how, even Jacob, but Mia still refused.

We were all surprised when Ben grabbed Mia's shoulders and pushed her underwater. I glared at him, and pushed him away while he just laughed. Much to my relief, Mia was fine.

Even though Ben's method of teaching her was dangerous, Mia learned how to exhale underwater.

"Why did you do that!?" Sarah exclaimed, her eyes narrowed towards Ben.

Ben held his hands in surrender. "When I was learning how to swim, Levi did that to me. I thought that's what everyone did!"

Sarah rolled her eyes and asked once again if Mia was okay. Mia said she was fine, but from then on, we made sure Ben didn't do anything like that again.

After teaching her how to do a crawl and the right way to tread water, Ben and I moved away from her so she could try swimming on her own without our guidance. Of course, we weren't far just in case she needed our help.

Eventually, Mia got the hang of it. She wasn't ready to go to the deepest depth of the pool yet, but at least she's doing a better job than before.

She yelped when I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her far from everyone else. Mia glared at me while I just gave her a boyish grin.

"Thanks for teaching me how to swim," Mia said.

I smirked. "Now I don't have to worry about you drowning when I push you into the pool."

Mia glared at me, slapping my chest as I laughed. "Not funny."

As I pulled Mia closer to my chest, my eyes flicked from her eyes to her lips. I gazed into her eyes again, as if asking for permission to kiss her. She smiled and brushed her lips against mine.

I groaned, and held her close as I deepened the kiss. It was too bad I couldn't kiss her as much as I wanted to since our friends were here.

Ben, for once didn't interrupt Mia and I's make-out session like he always does. However, when I opened my eyes to see him, he was glaring at me. As if threatening that if I did anything else, he'd kill me.

Frowning when Mia pulled away, I reluctantly let her go before she swam to the others. With me following behind her.

I wanted to tell her about the call I got from Louis yesterday, but I didn't want to spoil her fun here and have her worry all the time. Mia worried about everything and I don't want her to get involved into anything dangerous again.

But I hate lying to her. I knew it was bad, but it's what kept her safe. I'm going to tell her one day, but definitely not anytime soon.

When we all went back inside the house, Ben and Levi were in the kitchen waiting for me while the others went to take a shower.

The moment I got the phone call, I told Levi and Ben about it. Levi said he was going to find out if Louis was here in Greece, and luckily, he wasn't. Ben had also done some research on his own.

Zoey Koldon. She was Louis' ex-girlfriend after she found him having another one of his affairs. She lives here in Greece with her mother and twin sister, Natasha.

Ben said that Zoey could be working for Louis, even if they broke up. It was a good theory, but they broke up three years ago. Zoey probably doesn't care about him at this point, unless she was crazy in love with him.

"Maybe we could find her and befriend her," Ben suggested. "Get to know her and see if she is still in touch or in love with Louis."

"But how will we do that without acting like creeps?" Levi questioned his brother.

"Leave that to me," Ben winked, making me roll my eyes.

Well, it looks like we're on phase one of our secret little mission-befriend Louis' ex-girlfriend.
