‘How can this happen?’

Looking at the two holographic screens in front of him, Leo was not only anxious, but he was furious.

Leo clenched his fists as he felt the heavens toying with him.

For the past ten years, Leo had experienced so many things; however, it was his first time seeing about the partially awakened talents. That’s why he felt hopeless because he was scared he might not find a solution for it in time.

‘They must have been living much worse than I thought.’

Being an orphan was one thing; however, it was tough to live in this cruel world without talent and a’ Weak physique’.

Leo’s heart ached just by thinking how hard it must have been for them.

‘I have another six months to find a way to awaken their partially awakened talents completely.’

Leo clenched his fists as he swore to find a way to help his younger brother and younger sister.

‘Even though I have seen others controlling beasts and monsters, their talents were fully awakened, and at the same time, they didn’t have weak physiques.’

Leo recalled his encounters with the heroes who could control the beasts and monsters; however, they didn’t have any problems with their bodies or talent.

“Sister Julia, who is this?”

As Leo tried his best to hide his mixed emotions right now, Emily and Evan asked Julia about Leo.

“He is Brother Leo, the one who saved me. Say hello to him.”

Julia introduced Leo to Emily and Evan with a bright smile on her face.

“Brother Leo must be very strong, right?”

“Brother Leo, what is your hero rank? And what type of talent do you have?”

However, Emily and Evan became curious when they heard Leo saved Julia. So, they asked about his hero rank and talent.

“Stop being rude.”

Before Leo could reply, Ryan berated them because no one wants to disclose their hero rank and talent to others who only met recently.

“Sorry.”

Emily and Evan also knew this. So, they apologized to Leo without any hesitation.

“It’s just a talent. They are not going to swallow my talent.”

Leo shook his head as he answered, “My talent is Teleportation.”

As soon as he finished his words, Leo disappeared from his place and appeared behind Emily and Evan.

Emily and Evan lived their lives without any talent. Also, they never went too far from their home because of their weak body.

Leo revealed a full smile on his face, and it was his first time showing such a smile in front of others.

Even when he was in front of Julia, he didn’t reveal it; however, it was a completely different story in front of Emily and Evan.

When he was adopted, he was the one who took care of Emily and Evan from the time they were born. In his heart, Emily and Evan were like his children.

‘I wonder if they remember me.’

When Leo was framed for the murder and got kidnapped, Emily and Evan were just seven years. So, he doubted they would remember him as they were too young.

“Yes, it is. What about the hero rank?”

The twins nodded their heads and asked about his rank.

“It is rank 5.”

Julia answered them as Leo suggested to her that they should hide his rank until they entered the ‘God ruins’.

Soon, Leo, Julia, and the twins started talking about how Leo saved her in the cave as they entered Ryan’s house.

‘Is he the same person I was walking with until now?’

Looking at Leo’s sudden change in his attitude, Ryan frowned and thought about how emotionless Leo was with him earlier.

‘There is definitely something off about him. I need to keep an eye on him.’

Ryan followed them and entered his house with that thought in his mind.

In one of the manors belonging to the Ambermane family,

“I heard your friend with the Teleportation talent saved someone whom he should not have saved.”

After learning about Julia from Zac, Zen went to the manor where Dominic and others were resting.

“Yeah. It’s because your brother begged him to save her.”

Dominic was not surprised by Leo’s actions as he calmly replied, “So, how much are you going to pay him for saving her?”

This question was directed at Zac as he was the one who begged them before entering the city.

“Huh? What did you say?”

Zen looked at Zac and asked Dominic with a severe look on his face.

“Ask your little brother about it.”

Dominic shook his head and didn’t bother to answer Zen.

“Brother it’s my fault. I am sorry.”

Zen was already furious when he heard his little brother had begged a lowly mercenary for a lowly girl, but now, he was being ignored by another lowly mercenary.

Zac hurriedly apologized to Zen, fearing that his big brother might vent his anger on him.

“Fine.”

Zen glared at Zac before looking at Dominic, “Ask him to kill her. I will not disappoint you with the payment.”

‘Since you are just lowly mercenaries who will do anything as long as you’re paid, I will make him kill her with the same hands that saved her.’

This was the thought in Zen’s head as he ordered Dominic.

“We can’t order him because he is not a part of our ‘Golden Giants’ mercenary squad.”

Dominic shook his head and continued, “We met him on our way to the Phirie city.”

“Huh? He is not your squad member?”

Zen and Zac frowned after hearing Dominic’s reply.

“So, how about you kill her?”

Zen asked Dominic’s squad to finish the mission since they learned Leo was not a part of their group.

“It’s just too bothersome to kill her in the city.”

As he continued, Dominic revealed a lazy look on his face, “Why don’t we just kill her in the ‘God ruins’ along with the other young geniuses from the other families?”

‘This bastard…does he want me to beg him to kill her? Not a chance.’

Zen felt that Dominic wanted him to beg him. So, he decided what to do with Julia.

“Okay then. I will leave you to rest now.”

After saying that, Zen and Zac left the manor.

“Brother…are we really going to wait for a week to kill her? What if she does something crazy in the meanwhile?”

Outside the manor, Zac asked Zen with an anxious look.

“Do you think I will wait for that long?”

With an evil smile on his face, Zen replied, “So what if these bastards need a week to kill her? I can find l lowly mercenaries like them everywhere in this city.”

“Brother, whenever you smile like that, I know you are planning something good.”

Zac chuckled as he saw the smile on his brother’s face.

“Of course, it is good because I am planning to kill her tonight.”

Zen left after saying those words, leaving behind Zac, who was excited about Julia’s death.
