In Juliaâs house,
âWhat is taking sister Amy so long to come back?â
Julia checked the time and waited for Amy while practicing her talent.
Unlike the attacking type heroes, healing type heroes can use their talents in a small space for practice.
So, while waiting for Amy, she started using her talent on herself to increase her potential to reach the next level in that talent.
âVarious studies show that the repetitive use of the talent helps the heroes in levelling up their talents and there is even a small chance of mutation in the talent.â
As an orphan, Julia knew that the only way to become powerful and respectful in this world was to have a high-level hero rank. So, she studied research papers regarding talents whenever she had time.
As for Zac, Julia didnât want to think about it and tried her best to keep her mind busy.
Right now, she doesnât have the power or connections to talk about justice or take revenge on Zac, a young master of the powerful family.
â¦
Some distance away from Juliaâs house.
âKekeâ¦itâs been a while since we killed a young woman in the city. I am excited.â-.
A masked figure eyed Juliaâs house from the distance as he said to the masked figures standing behind him.
âVice Leader, isnât it a little bit too much to kill a single rank 4 healing type hero?â
One of the masked figures was dissatisfied with his vice leader for bringing a total of 12 members from their mercenary squad.
Whatâs more, each one of them was at Rank 4 or higher. As for the Vice leader, he was a recently ascended rank 6 attacking type hero.
âI feel the same, Vice leader. I can take care of her without putting much effort into it.â
Soon, the other masked figures also complained about it.
âI know.â
Even the groupâs vice leader agreed with them before saying, âHowever, there might be a rank 5 or even possibly rank 6 hero with a teleportation talent protecting her. So, thatâs why we need more men.â
âHuh? A hero with a teleportation talent?â
The masked figures who were complaining earlier became shocked for a moment when they heard the vice leaderâs words.
âEven though the teleportation talent is rare, it doesnât have any destructive power.â
âYes. Whatâs more, he has to protect her. So, we have another advantage other than having more numbers.â
Nevertheless, the masked figures didnât think much about a hero with a teleportation talent.
The vice leader of the group also felt the same, which is why he volunteered to complete this mission.
âAccording to the information we have, that hero is staying in the house next to our targetâs house. So, as long as we kill her without alerting him, there is no need to fight him.â
The Vice leader pointed at Ryanâs house and explained his plan to complete the mission with ease.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
âItâs an easy mission with a large bounty.â
The vice leader was already dreaming about receiving the bounty for Juliaâs assassination.
âLetâs go and finish this mission.â
âSwooshâ
Soon, the 12 masked figures spread out and surrounded Juliaâs house before two rank 4 assassins were sent into the house by the Vice leader.
â¦..
âHuh? Whatâs taking them so long? Did something happen?â
After waiting for a few minutes, the vice leader felt something was off and ordered everyone to enter the house.
Even though he only sent two rank 4 assassins, the vice leader knew about their battle prowess. So, when they didnât return, he didnât hesitate to go into the house with his subordinates.
âHuh? How did they end up like this?â
The moment the masked figures entered the house, they saw the two rank 4 assassins that came earlier lying on the floor.
However, what shocked them the most was the corpses of those two rank 4 assassins turned pale, and their bodies became very thin as though someone had sucked all the blood from their bodies.
âVice leader, are you hiding something from us?â
All the masked figures became fearful with the sight of those two corpses and hurriedly asked their vice leader.
âWhat are youâ¦.â
âSlashâ
âSlashâ
âPuchiâ
Before the vice leader could say something, a black silhouette came out of his shadow and slashed the throats of all the masked figures except for the vice leader, who used his dagger to block the sharp nails of the black silhouette.
âThudâ
The masked figures didnât even have a chance to fight back as they all fell to the ground in disbelief.
âWho are you?â
The vice leader felt a deep sense of fear as he looked at the black silhouette and asked.
âWho am I? Do you really want to know that?â
Vladimir was surprised that the vice leader was able to block his nail; however, he didnât have a slight interest in introducing himself.
âIf you leave me aliveâ¦.â
âPuchiâ
âThudâ
The vice leader looked at the hole in his chest as he fell to the ground without finishing his words.
âLeaving you alive is completely out of the question.â
Vladimir shook his head as he licked the blood on his fingers and replied to the vice leaderâs corpse.
âI am going to have a blood feast today.â
The moment he tasted the blood, his eyes glowed with bright red colour as Vladimir revealed an excited smile on his face.
âSwooshâ
As Vladimir was enjoying the blood feast, the cloak on his back heavily fluttered as though it complained about something.
âI didnât forget about you as I still need you to take care of all the bodies and blood.â
Vladimir caressed his cloak as he said, âAs a reward for your work, you can have the rank 6 heroâs blood for yourself.â
âSwooshâ
The cloak became excited hearing Vladimirâs words.
In the next second, it flew out from his back and swallowed the pale and thin corpses that didnât have a single drop of blood.
It didnât take much time as a Shadow vampire and a red cloak to take care of the bodies.
âI hope more and more assassins come for you so that I can have more and more feasts in the future.â
Looking at Julia, who was sleeping on the sofa, Vladimir silently muttered before disappearing into the darkness.
