Even though Clemens could move his feet out of the ground without any problem, he made everyone, including Leo, believe that he could not move his feet.

If he had moved earlier, he might have saved a few of his squad members; however, Clemens chose to sacrifice them and waited for Leo to come closer to him so that he could launch a sneak attack on him.

Even though Leo was cold, he would never sacrifice his friends or subordinates like Clemens.
