‘Looks like the Ambermane family wants to monopolize over the treasures in the ‘God ruins’…hehe.’

After learning everything about ‘God ruins’ from Julia, Leo guessed why the Ambermane family requested the help of the ‘Golden Gaints’ mercenary squad.

‘As I am waiting for an opportunity to take down the Ambermane family, it comes walking to me on its own.’

Leo laughed at his luck as he guessed what the Ambermane family wanted from the ‘Golden Giants’ mercenary squad.

“So, are you entering the ‘God ruins’?”

After thinking for a moment, Leo asked Julia whether she was entering the ‘God ruins’.

“Of course, I will….”

Unconsciously, Julia nodded her head; however, before finishing her words, she thought of something and said, “I guess I will not be entering after what happened today.”

“Huh?”

Leo frowned a little and realized why she would not be entering the ‘God ruins’.

As a healing type hero, Julia needs a team. Without a team, she would be killed even before noticing the danger.

After the betrayal from her team today, she knew that she could never join that team again.

“Shall we help each other then?”

After thinking for a moment, Leo asked Julia with a calm look.

Even though there were countless dangers inside a ‘God ruins’, there were countless benefits alongside those dangers.-.

So, Leo didn’t want his sister to miss those benefits as they would help her become an advanced hero faster.

“Helping each other? How can I help you, Brother Leo?”

Julia was surprised; however, when she remembered Leo’s hero rank, she shook her head with a disappointed look.

“I am a mercenary. So, why don’t you hire me to protect you inside the ‘God ruins’?”

A rare smile appeared on Leo’s face as he explained how they could help each other.

“As long as I bring you with me into the ‘God ruins’, you will protect me until we come out of the ‘God ruins’, right?”

After listening to Leo’s offer, Julia summarized their deal as she asked Leo.

“Yes.”

Leo nodded his head as he asked, “So, are you interested in hiring me as your bodyguard?”

“Yes, Brother Leo. I will be in your care then.”

Julia didn’t hesitate even a single bit as she agreed to Leo’s deal.

As an outsider, Leo didn’t have the right to enter the ‘God ruins’ on his own; however, if someone hired him, he could enter the ‘God ruins’ without any problem.

Even though it was not a big problem for Leo to enter the ‘God ruins’, he just wanted to help his sister.

‘Looks like I need to change my plan.’

According to his previous plan, there were no ‘God ruins’. So, Leo decided to change his plan.

“Also, don’t tell anyone about my hero class.”

Leo suddenly thought of something and said to Julia.

“That’s right! If everyone knows about you being an advanced hero, they might not permit you to enter the ‘God ruins’.”

Even though Julia seemed to be a little dull to get betrayed by her boyfriend, she was good at grasping the situation.

So, when she heard Leo’s words, Julia hurriedly nodded her head and agreed to his words.

‘It’s good since she is coming up with her own reasons.’

Leo was good at planning; however, he felt relieved when he didn’t have to explain everything.

‘Now, I have to think about how to separate from others in the eyes of the Ambermane family.’

Seth and Zac had seen him with the ‘Golden Gaints’ mercenary squad. So, he wanted to come up with a good reason to make the Ambermane family believe that he had nothing to do with the ‘Golden Gaints’.

If the Ambermane family knew that Julia hired him as her bodyguard, they would find something was off because Julia was not rich enough to hire a member of the ‘Golden Giants’ mercenary squad.

With the appearance of ‘God’s ruins’, Leo had to change all his plans regarding the Phirie city; however, he didn’t mind it.

‘It is not my first time changing the plans; however, it’s a good thing to change the plans before I even execute my original plan.’

Leo adjusted his thoughts and started preparing a new plan.

“Julia”

As Leo and Julia walked toward the city, a young man in his early twenties ran toward them and called Julia.

“Ryan, what are you doing here?”

Julia was surprised when she saw the young man; however, she asked calmly.

“I heard that you are trapped in Serpent caverns. Thank god, you are safe.”

The young man named Ryan heaved a sigh of relief as he gasped for air.

It was easy to tell that he was truly worried about her, judging from the anxious look on his face earlier,

‘Ryan?’

As for Leo, the moment he heard the young man’s name, Leo raised his eyebrows and muttered, ‘If he is really little Ryan, he will be exactly 21 years old.’

Even though Leo felt the young man in front of him was none other than his brother, he wanted to check his age before confirming.

‘System, start the assessment.’

Leo ordered the system to get complete information about Ryan.

The first thing Leo checked was age, and after confirming the age, Leo was almost sure that the young man in front of him was his brother.

‘He awakened a powerful attack type talent.’

He was happy for his little brother, thinking, ‘He must have worked very hard to become a rank 5 hero at his age.’

‘I want to tell you everything but I doubt you will listen to me.’

When he was five years old, Ryan’s parents adopted him; however, later, he was framed for killing them.

So, Leo didn’t dare to reveal his real name to Ryan, and the same goes for Julia; because of him, she got separated from his brother.

‘It is not an easy thing for orphans to survive in this world. What’s more, when your brother is charged with murder and theft, it would make things even harder.’

Even though he didn’t witness how Ryan and his other siblings lived after the death of their parents, he was sure about one thing.

That is, they didn’t have an easy life.

‘I wonder how Evan and Emily are doing.’

As Leo was thinking about his siblings, he thought about his two youngest siblings.

“There is no need for you to worry about me. I am perfectly fine.”

Leo came out of his thoughts when he heard Julia’s cold words to Ryan.

“Brother Leo, let’s go.”

After saying those words, Julia walked past Ryan without turning her head.

‘What’s happening between these two? Why is she giving him a cold shoulder?’

Leo didn’t understand why they became like this; however, he silently followed behind Julia after glancing at Ryan.

‘Who is he? Why is she calling him ‘Brother’?’

Ryan didn’t mind Julia’s attitude as he had gotten used to it already; however, he was suspicious of Leo.
