Dosch
âI canât be here?â she asked when she realized I wasnât going to elaborate further. âWhat am I doing wrong Dosch?â There was a hint of desperation in her voice, which a small part of me felt sorry for. Probably the part that was the mating bond, the part of our souls that were one.
I made Mourad, Marcus and the waiter leave after he had just put down the strawberries.
âSit, Carina.â
âIâd rather not.â She chipped and she crossed her arms. Her cleavage was pushed out more, as was that wicked bottom lip.
âSit.â I was not joking. She noticed my tone and sat down on the couch next to me, at the farthest seat she could find. We stared at each other for a few long seconds. Both of us angry. Mine was only half played.
I handed her the flute of champagne. She took it but didnât speak and didnât drink from it either.
âYou canât gamble tonight.â I said.
âWhy the fuck canât I?â
âItâs a special⦠night.â She didnât need to know all the gritty details.
âWhat is going on tonight?â
âNothing you need to worry your pretty head about.â
She put the glass down hard and rose. âThan Iâm fucking going. Stop bullshitting me.â
She walked to the door but Marcus and Mourad had locked it and were now guarding it from the other side.
âLet me out of here, Dosch.â She turned around and made a desperate motion with her two arms.
âSit back down Carina. Donât be so dramatic.â
âThan fucking tell me what this is about!â she screamed. âYou are scaring me!â
I flinched. By the look on her face she was indeed worried. It made my heart clench.
I walked to her, grabbed both her cheeks and pecked her nose. âDonât be worried. I would never have anything happen to you.â I sighed and pecked her lips. âYou know that right, Carina?â she smelled so good this close to me and it took all my self control to not full on kiss her.
She nodded and placed her hands on my chest. She stepped closer, huddled close to me and walked straight into a hug. She felt so perfect in my arms, like it was a second home. My home. My everything.
We stayed like that for a few seconds. Just breathing each other in. Her scent my favorite in the world.
