Ughh, Dane is unbelievable, why is he acting so childishly?

I looked at him where he slept, as I sighed and my shoulders slugged.

Why can’t he see that I can’t tell him right now? I need to handle this on my own, without too many people interfering. When the time comes, I’ll let him know.

When Alina is caught up in the webs of her own lies, I will tell Dane everything.

“Dane?” I called but he ignored me, “I don’t have an appetite either. Can you tell the waiter not to bother bringing any dish?”

Dane shifted his leg. “The phone is there, call them yourself,” he said coldly.

I rolled my eyes as I got up and dialled the number, “Hello, we would like to cancel all orders.”

I dropped the phone and I stopped as I reached a mirror, I noticed my dress and my jewellery, which Dane had lovingly chosen for me.

I glanced at him as he lay there, a heavy sigh escaping me. I had

hurt his feelings on a day he had gone out of his way to make special for me.

I licked my lips as I took off my ear rings, “This is a sacrifice for Piper and Warrick,” I whispered to myself.

I took off my shoe and my dress and I placed them in the wardrobe.

“Did you bring nightwear?”

I turned as I heard Dane speak. I shook my head at him in

response.

His eyes ran down my body, I wore just my lingeries. He gritted his teeth as he looked back at my face.

“Is that how you want to sleep tonight?” he asked.

I nodded as I walked towards the bathroom. “Why all these questions?”

Dane shrugged, “I was just saying, because it might be cold, but, I don’t care anyways, do your things.”

I furrowed my brows as he closed his eyes once again.

It was evident in his tone that he was furious, but he still cared for me and asked how I’d sleep with the cold.

I smiled as I bit my bottom lip. “Well… I think your body is huge enough to drive all the cold away from me tonight.”

Dane opened his eyes and stared at me for a while, but he closed it after, saying nothing.

I closed the bathroom door as I took my bath. Once the door was shut, I started to think about that cl with the tattoo… how

is he here?

I somehow knew coming to this hotel would solve this mystery.

I placed my hands together as I said a short prayer for help.

I walked out of the bathroom, I saw Dane, lying in bed, faced up with his eyes closed, his legs crossed and his arms crossed on his chest.

I walked naked to the mirror with a towel in my hand that I used

in wiping my hair, I glanced at Dane through his reflection on the mirror.

He had his eyes opened as he stared at me. “Can’t sleep?”

He turned to the side facing me, “How can I sleep when you are

here… like this?”

I looked down and smiled, “Aren’t you supposed to be used to seeing me this way?”

“I can never get used to this.”

I took the hair dryer and started to dry my hair, “That’s not my

fault then.”

He sighed and closed his eyes and I continued drying my hair.

After drying my hair, I put on my lingerie and I climbed on the bed, “Dane?” I called but he didn’t respond.

I covered myself with the duvet and I placed my head on the blanket. I closed my eyes, hoping to catch some sleep.

I took a deep breath as I sank further no the bed. Dane was right, it was cold.

I picked a pillow and I hugged it tightly. I felt Dane shift and before I could turn to look at him, he wrapped his arms around me and I smiled at the warmth of his body..

“You are cold… come here.”

I closed my eyes as I let myself drift to sleep.

“Aurora… Aurora wake up… go downstairs now!” A strange voice called out to me in the form of a trance.

I blinked my eyes and I opened them slowly, I turned to Dane and saw he was sound asleep, I looked around the room as I wondered who was in the room that spoke to me.

I removed Dane’s hand from my body and I took my legs off the

bed, “Go downstairs?” I asked myself, “Who said that?”

I sighed and walked to the wardrobe, I opened it and saw my

dress.

I can’t wear that right now. I kept it and took Dane’s shirt, I put it on and the sleeves were longer than my hands. The shirt covered up to my lower thigh and I put my hair in a messy bun as I walked to the door.

I turned to Dane and saw him sleep, I took a deep breath and opened the door slowly and I walked out quietly.

I don’t want to wake Dane up. I looked out of the room and it felt like there’s a force calling me outside.

I closed the door slowly and I walked down the hallway, they were antique and portraits lined beautifully along the way.

I reached the elevator and as it opened, a young man walked out of the elevator and I entered.

He whistled as he stared at me, his eyes running down my outfit, he gave me a wink before the door shut. I took a deep breath as I headed downstairs.

The elevator stopped and I looked around the reception, before I stepped out slowly. I noticed a big wall clock and I took a deep breath as I noticed the time was half past three AM.

“Ma’am may I help you?” a young lady at the counter asked me.

I shook my head at her as I turned around, my eyes keen for details, even if I didn’t know what I was looking for.

I stepped towards the exit and I noticed someone, I hastened my footsteps and as I reached the exit, he got familiar.

“It is the cleaner,” I said as I rushed after the man walking away.
