129 â Demon King Maker â 4
âAre there about three days left?â
I brushed off the blood from the dragon sword and thought about the remaining time. Time left until final exams. They say itâs okay if you attend, and itâs okay if you donât attend, but you have to take the test.
It wouldnât have mattered if I didnât take the exam at all, but my conscience was pricked a little to give up the final exam after holding the title of academy cadet.
I reduced the cleaned dragon sword to the size of a dagger, put it on my waist, and looked around. Compared to the beginning, the number of dead bodies lying around had decreased considerably.
This was because the rumor about an entity that only killed chiefs who claimed to be demon kings had spread quite far. Now, there are cases where people recognize you first without having to introduce yourself.
By the time the battle was over, they had spread out in all directions and it was impossible to catch and kill those who were running away one by one. Itâs probably a rumor they spread. Since I was dealing with one tribe alone, it was inevitable that I would miss a few people.
The funny thing is, even though people knew that such a person existed, almost no one believed that what was inside was a human being. Only after meeting him had he ever reacted, wondering if he was really human.
âThat werewolf was wiser.â
Even though the werewolf chief I met for the first time realized that I was human, he immediately prepared to fight with all his might. Even while his subordinates openly look down on me.
I took a chunk of rock that wasnât covered in blood and laid out a simple map on top of it. It was a map created by catching several runaways and digging up information on the spot.
Looking at it, it seemed like I could go back if I just took care of three or four more places.
âWhat is it?â
I was about to grab the map and move to the next location, when I felt a large figure approaching me. It also has a much more powerful energy than the guys Iâve been killing so far.
The only person who could unleash this kind of power was the corps commander.
âProbably a Dullahan.â
There are only two corps commanders left, but the Elder Lich would not have approached them alone like that, but would have mobilized the undead to surround them from the start.
ã ¡Quaaang!
âI finally found it.â

As I expected, the knight appeared and stopped right in front of me, destroying the oddly grown trees like corn.
The black armor seemed to be somewhere between medium and light armor in thickness and size, and there was nothing on the shoulders that should have been there. The âthing that should be on the shoulderâ was sandwiched between the left arm and the side.
âAre you the one who deals with the disloyal people who claim to be the devil?â
âThatâs right. Itâs me. Why?â
I aimed at eternity and asked back. Dealing with the corps commander here is irrelevant. However, the blind spot was that if even the Dullahan died when only two corps commanders were left, they did not know what the remaining Elder Lich would do.
Elisier said that there is a high probability that the reason the Elder Lich is still quiet is because of the Dullahan.
âI did not come to fight, loyal one. âHonestly, to those who moved for the Demon King-â
The guy stopped talking. It seemed as if its body was shaking and examining me carefully, and then a sigh came out.
ââ¦â¦ âWas it human?â
âIt doesnât really matter whether Iâm human or not. âWhy donât you start by explaining what you were trying to do?â
Dullahan seemed to think about it for a moment, but as if he had made up his mind, he put away the sword he had drawn.
âThatâs right. It doesnât matter whether youâre human or not. What is important is that you serve the Demon King, the true monarch and ruler. Thank you for opening his eyes. You have great insight. I recognized your loyalty from the moment you took action for the Demon Lord. âJust as your eyes are not wrong in serving the true monarch, mine are also not wrong.â
Clap, clap, clap. The guy clapped leisurely. It was absurd. I was very curious about what was going on in my head.
âPut down your sword and kneel down, fine human being. In recognition of your loyalty and honorable behavior toward the Demon King, I will personally grant you a token of loyalty. âYou are a knight who deserves this.â
â⦠â¦.â
I was wondering why you suddenly came all the way to the other side of the Demon Kingâs Castle. Even taking into account the fact that if you only look at my actions, I seem to be a pro-Demon King faction, I was truly crazy in a way you couldnât even imagine.
No matter how good my acting was, I felt very uncomfortable receiving something from the demons. While thinking about how to handle this, I came up with a good idea.
âI told you to just shut up and do only what you consider loyal or honorable, right?â
If Aria has a kind personality that makes her feel like a brat, the commander of the 1st Corps said she has a personality that is fanatically obsessed with honor and loyalty. All I can say is that it is comparable to that aria.
He said that during the last battle, even though he had mobilized his entire corps, it was not honorable for several people to attack one person, and had an argument with the warrior. If so, it was a worthy attempt.
âYou are out of your mind. Who are you to leave the Demon King alone and give him a token of loyalty? âDo you want me to serve you instead of the Demon King?â
ââ¦â¦ !â
âGiving something is solely the right of the ruler. Why do you decide that on your own? Is that what you think of loyalty and honor? âGoing forward and acting on your own?â
Dullahan froze in place as if he had been hit on the head. He nailed it right away.
âSeeing as you do such things on your own terms, I guess you also want to become the devil king like everyone else, even though you only talk about loyalty and honor?â
âKaaa!â
The guy fell to his knees on the floor with a scream that was close to the sound of metal. Then he slammed his shoulder on the floor and started sobbing.
âNo! Not like that! I only serve the devil! I amâ¦â¦ I amâ¦â¦ !â
The ground was shaking and the ground near Dullahan was digging out as if a crater was about to form. I stepped back a long way to avoid scattering any debris.
âThis is real.â
Iâm just saying it roughly, but I never thought it would be that effective. His personality was exactly what Elisier had said about him being so crazy that it felt like his brain was a little strange.
The Dullahan slapped his shoulder to the ground and threw down his helmet, blaming himself until his entire armor was covered in dust, and then he trudged out of the dust-filled crater, his limp body flailing.
âThatâs right, humanâ¦â¦ As a knight serving him, I committed a disloyal act that I should not have dared to commit. This sin can only be paid for with the neckâ¦â¦ Where exactly is the devil? ⦠!â@@novelbin@@
A groan filled with sorrow came from his helmet in his hand.
âElisier would be eating dessert with Rosaria in the club room.â
The two of us are probably still cleaning out the refrigerator.
ââ¦â¦ Are you saying that we are fighting on the same side as the commander of the Demon Kingâs army?â
âHow did it happen? They didnât care one bit that I was human. âIn fact, they said they liked me because they said I had excellent eyes for seeing.â
âPuhahahahaha! âThatâs his behavior!â
Elisier held her stomach and laughed. Rosaria and Laura once again looked dumbfounded. As always, Priscilla was busy clinging to me and teasing me. Instead, I felt less desperate than before.
âIâve encountered the hero a few times while fighting, so I know roughly what his personality isâ¦â¦ âI didnât know you were that stupid.â
âI agree. âItâs the personality I set for myself, but I never even imagined that it would become that extreme.â
After sticking her tongue out for a moment, Laura put down her teacup and asked a question.
âHoney, is things going well?â
âItâs going so well that itâs almost a problem. As the rumor spread so quickly, the number of surrenders without a fight increased significantly. They say that those who call themselves devil lords are telling them to fight because they will die if they are caught, but when I see those who surrender, it doesnât seem to have any effect.â
âI knew it would be like that. âItâs behavior befitting a demon.â
âIsnât fighting until the death befitting a demon?â
âIf all demons were like that, they would not have become as powerful as they are now. Didnât they say that strength is everything, but that the weak completely obey the strong? Once you think the power gap is clear, you quickly give up the idea of attacking. Of course, there is an exception when dealing with humans.â
Just as I was nodding my head in understanding, I heard the sound of someone walking down the hallway. There were two in number, and judging by their strides, they were Leona and Aria.
âLeona and Aria are coming.â
ââ¦â¦ âIt means that now is the time for us to face the Sword Saint.â
âHa, itâs that time again. âRecently, Iâve even been wondering if the Sword Saint was set up to be that strong for no reason.â
â⦠â¦.â
Elisier and Laura sighed deeply, and Priscilla also stood up with a sullen expression. Not long after, a tattered Leona and Aria entered the club room.
âGyodae, Gyodae! Get out quickly! Uhâ¦â¦ âHer Highness the Crown Princess, and Priscilla Lang?â
Leona stopped shouting in informal language and carefully looked at Laura and Priscilla. The two of them didnât pay any attention to that fact and left a message saying they would return and headed to the Teolle Teolle training ground.
Aria sat down on her sofa with her knees somewhat together, and Leona flopped down next to her. I took out cold drinks from the refrigerator and tossed them one by one.
âAh! Thank you, Mira!â
âI was just thirsty. Thank you.â
âIs sparring worth it?â
Leona finished her drink in one go and sighed as she placed her empty bottle on her table. Aria was next to him, holding her bottle in both hands and sipping like her squirrel.
âI feel like Iâm going to die. âI understand why you said youâve been watching her fight with teaspoons and toothpicks for a while now.â
âMe tooâ¦â¦ It was really hardâ¦â¦.â
Looking at Aria, who had a smiling face for quite some time, making her singing voice, it seemed like she wasnât usually working hard.
âOkay. I think I know how hard she went through it. âSeeing her clothes in such a mess.â
The two then looked down at each otherâs clothes and were startled, as if they had been scalded by fire a beat later.
âIâm sorry! âI should have washed up!â
âIâm sorry! Sorry! All I wanted to do was restâ¦â¦ !â
Then, the two of them stood up in a hurry and tried to leave, so I used magic to make them sit back on the sofa and bring them each more drinks.
âItâs okay. âI donât care.â
âButâ¦â¦ Weâre not okay. It must smell like sweatâ¦â¦.â
âThereâs no smell or anything?â
It is true. Maybe it was because they were the protagonists of the romantic drama, but they both had a faint floral scent, let alone a scent. Although her school uniform was tattered, her skin was still spotlessly clean.
â⦠â¦.â
â⦠â¦.â
As soon as I said those words, Leona and Aria shrunk closer and looked at me, shivering.
âMimimi, mummy. Are you really in charge of it? Really?â
âJi, did you really say that? âNo, right?â
âIt wasnât intentional. âI felt it when I passed by to give you a drink earlier?â
The twoâs faces turned pale.
âHey! You should say that in advance! âIâm not even mentally ready yet!â
âYes, thatâs right! If only you had told me that would happenâ¦â¦.â
âIf you had told me, you would have let me take charge? âSmell?â
At my question, Leona and Aria, who had been talking passionately with bright red faces, froze at the same time. Only then did she seem to realize how her words would sound.
âWell, thatâs itâ¦â â¦.â
âIâm sorry, Iâm sorry, Iâm sorry. Please forget⦠â¦.â
Both of them looked as if they were going to explode at any moment, lowered their heads and wiggled their thighs. It wasnât that I was openly sniffing, and I wondered if it was something to be ashamed of.
âItâs okay, Mira. Because I can respect whatever your preference is. How about it? Would you like to try it?â
Rosalia, who was covering her mouth and whimpering as she watched the tragedy unfold before her eyes, put her arms behind her head and put her silver-white hair to one side, as if to give her a good look.
Her pure white nape was fully exposed, and a playful yet bewitching smile appeared on her face.
âI already know? âIt smelled like milk.â
âMilk?!â
I felt it the other day when she buried me between her breasts, saying she was comforting me. Even though that wasnât my intention.
âYeah, really? The scent of milkâ¦â¦.â
In response to her answer, Rosalia looked at her as if she had just exploded, wondering where her energetic figure from before had gone. She hesitated, unable to find a place to put her. Then she quietly muttered.
âPervert⦠â¦.â
âAre you in a position to say something like that to me?â
She has no conscience despite what she has done.
