ââ¦â¦What is this situation?â
I was dumbfounded as soon as I woke up in the morning. It was because Leona and Aria were sleeping on either side of me, each using one of my arms as a pillow, completely unaware of the world.
The pillow I had brought was rolling around the bed aimlessly, and somehow they had each grabbed their own blanket. On top of that, their hands were intertwined on my stomach.
I had roughly expected that they wouldnât go back to their own rooms and would try to sleep in mine. I was awake when they tried to check whether I was asleep or not. There was no way I could sleep through the commotion they caused while climbing on top of me.
I only pretended to be asleep because I missed the right timing to say that I was awake. If Aria hadnât pressed her face against mine or if Leona hadnât insisted on sleeping with me, I would have gotten up.
âFirst, letâs get out of here.â
The most urgent thing was to get out before Silvia saw and misunderstood the situation.
First, I carefully pulled out the arm that Leona was using as a pillow and placed her head on a pillow that was rolling around nearby. Then, I did the same with Ariaâs arm, setting her head on another pillow. Both of them continued to sleep deeply, oblivious to the world.
With my now freed arms, I untangled the hands clasped tightly over my stomach. I laid them gently on the blankets and was about to move my body whenâ@@novelbin@@
âLeona, are you hereâOh my.â
I was trying to sneak out when Silvia opened the door and entered, and our eyes met.
Her golden eyes, identical to Leonaâs, alternated between looking at the two sleeping soundly beside me. I sighed inwardly as I saw her round eyes gradually turn into a smile.
âI couldnât find my daughter in her room, so I thought Iâd check here... Did you have a good time?â
âThis is a misunderstanding.â
âI know. I was just joking. If you really had a good time, none of you would be so spotless, would you?â
Usually, when a mother finds her only daughter sleeping next to a strange man, sheâd be furious. It seemed, however, that Silvia was rooting for Leona. As for Aria, since sheâs someone elseâs daughter, Silvia probably couldnât say much.
âSince itâs almost morning, could you wake them both up? Iâll go down and prepare breakfast.â
