"Utterly disgusting."@@novelbin@@
"Haha. For once, weâre in agreement."
At the Red Tower Master's mutter, the Black Tower Master chuckled and nodded.
The two, along with other archmages, were handling the aftermath of the recent dungeon break. Fortunately, they were assigned to the most contaminated area, which meant working near the monsterâs corpse.
Ordinary people wouldnât understand, but the higher the contamination, the more dangerous it was. However, these two were Tower Mastersâmembers of the Mage Association, known for being mad about magic.
They wouldnât miss the opportunity to study the body of an unfamiliar creature up close.
"Iâll have to throw these clothes away later. The smell will never come out."
"Looks like Iâll have to do the same."
Of course, academic fervor and revulsion were different matters. The Red Tower Master scrunched his nose at the smell of his clothes.
In front of him lay a monster, with a third of its upper body vaporized. Although it had been dead for over twelve hours, purplish blood mixed with chunks of flesh was still oozing from its viscous fluids.
Originally, the Saintess and Lady Mira had intended to purify the battlefield aftermath as well, but the Tower Masters had persuaded them to leave research samples to minimize future damage.
As a result, measures were taken to contain the contamination, and they left. Thanks to this, they had more than a week of valuable time.
