During a long time in bath, I was wondering about something. The food in this world... is not so my taste. When I chose the food in the palace's event, the foods is the same at my house. I hope it will be different but nope. It will never happen. Are my taste is too high for this world to prepared it for me?
Drowning myself in the large bath tub, I am thinking. Thinking on how can I create the same taste as my old world...? I know. Getting out of the bath tub, wearing my clothes and I head out to see my mom.
"Mom, can I go out to the town?"
"Why, do you need something? If you do, better you ask Oliver to buy it for you."
"No, I want to see for myself the materials i want to buy, so can I go alone?"
"If you want to, then you may go but you need someone to accompany you. It's that okay?"
"If you say so, then I agree." My mom called Alisha, our maid to accompany me and after that she gives me a pouch of coins so that I can use it to purchase any things.
Right now, both of us were on the way to the town. When we arrive, as usual people give the glare but also I don't care. I came here to buy things not to create trouble. I ask Alisha about stores that sell foods ingredient. She then brought me to the green market.
The green market has all ingredients need by people to cook foods. When I enter the market, I am shocked as the interior is the same as a supermarket in my old world. Lots of store sells a lot of material. I enter one of the stores and I see a lot of spices.
"Good morning miss, what do you want to buy?" The seller ask me and I said to her that I just want to look around first
"If I found the thing, then I will buy it." The spices in the store look like it never sells a lot.
"The spices here look like there will be no people want to buy it."
"Exactly because spices only limited for medicinal uses. Not only that, only high grade spices that were uses. This type of spices, there aren't people who willing to buy it you know."
"Ehhhh, spices are used for medicinal purpose only!!" What the heck? Seriously......
"Yes, that's the truth. Miss, you look so surprised with it. Everyone knows that spices are used for that. Other than medicinal usage, I think spices have no other uses."
I am speechless and the spices are the only beginning. After looking around, asking people in the green market, now I know how dire the food situation in this world. Not to dire for this world but it is for me.
This world doesn't have chocolate, my favourite sweets, and lots of thing but first and foremost there is no rice in this world. I mean there is rice but...
"How much is one bag of rice, mister?"
"One bag is 2 large copper and five small copper. But if you want to buy bulk for your animals, I can give discounts for it."
"What, for animals??
"Yeah, isn't that the reason you buy it? To feed your animals. You know right that rice is animal's food..."
And... that's the reason why I need to think twice before I buy rice.
Uwahhh...... the rice that I needed in this world is used for animal's food. Then, what can I eat right now, I really need rice. Rice is my life... T ^ T......
I need to brace myself to prepared food in order to taste my old world foods back. Yes, Maria, you need to face any hardship so that you can taste all the missing food.
Right now, I will enter back the green market to buy all the important things. I don't care what people will said, it is my money after all. After finish buying the things, I went to the George smith shop to ask if he made custom wok.
When I arrive, I ask George about it. He said he will try but
"What the shape of the wok that you need, Maria?"
"One of the shape is rectangle, half sphere with handle on it and chopstick. Can you that?"
"I think I can do that but what are chopsticks anyway?"
"Its like a metal rod but it is thinner and smaller than a normal rod"
"Okay, I can do that. But when do you need it"
"As fast as possible. Can you?"
"I think I will be done in a moment, can you wait?"
"Yes I can." And I wait for like one hour and he's done. When he shows me the products, it's the same as I imagine it to be. I paid for it and keep it at the same place as other, at the magic space. Everyone have it though not only me.
Now all that I needed to cook is prepared and enough. So, both of me and Alisha are on our way to go back home. Alisha never asks me about things that I buy. She just stays there and accompanies me along the way.
When we arrive at the house, I straight went to the kitchen. I ask mom if I can use the kitchen. At first she scared if I got hurt from slicing thing but I assured her that the chef is there looking after me.
Now, it's time to COOK!!!!
