AIMEE
"Oh, hey baby." I spoke to my daughter Aurora. She just woke up from her nap and was giving me her toothless smile. "Did you sleep well?" I caressed her belly and she stretched her little arms and legs.
She was a cheerful baby. She had brown hair and her eyes were changing and picking up the same color of Leo's eyes.
Till the last moment, we didn't know what the baby's gender was going to be but we already knew the names. If it was a girl, it was going to be Aurora and if it was a boy, then it was going to be Axel.
But then we got our little princess. And we couldn't be more happier. She was healthy and well, that's all that mattered to me and him.
She was only six months old and already spoiled by Leo. I was only her food supplier and he was everything else.
Just like now, she was looking for him. Her eyes roaming around and a sob was threatening to break out of her tiny lips.
"Shh, baby. Daddy's not home now." I took her in my arms, walking around the house with her but she wouldn't calm down.
Leo was at work and he was not going to be home for few more hours.
She started to cry and my heart hurt for her. Something I hated the most, was when she cried.
I gave her toys to play, I gave her food maybe she was hungry but no, she wouldn't calm down.
"You want to see daddy? Should we go and see him?" I spoke to her softly and kissed her chubby cheeks. Her big eyes were glossy and her small little chin trembled.
"Okay, let's get you ready and we'll go." I dressed her in warm clothes and took the bag with all of her belongings with me.
It was 2pm and Leo was definitely at his office.
I dressed up as well and took the car keys and we went to the car. I placed her in her car seat and we drove off. It was not a long ride and Aurora calmed down a little bit.
We parked in front of his building and I took her out of the car in her seat. Her eyes were still little red from crying, but she was more relaxed.
Marcel who was still a loyal security guy, was inside by the door and was having a heated conversation with Willow. She was a new employee that replaced Michelle. Her curly hair framed her face and her eyes were narrowed at Marcel.
"And don't tell me what to do." She pointed her finger at him.
"You're the one who's testing me the whole time. I swear..." Willow noticed me and Aurora and she squeaked happily and ran towards us. Her heels clicking on the marble floor.
"Ohh look who's visiting." She looked at Aurora and caressed her legs.
Willow was a really cheerful and joyful person. We usually saw each other when I visited Leo and she was the nicest person here. Her dark curly hair was long and fell down her shoulders. Her light brown eyes matched her skin and she was dressed in a white shirt and a black skirt with black heels.
"Hey Willow, how are you?" I asked her. She sighed and placed her arms on her hips.
"As long as I have to see him everyday, I'll have a constant headache." She pointed to Marcel behind her who just grunted and walked towards us.
"Now I'm the headache?" He spoke and she spun around to face him.
"Yes, you are." He stepped closer towards and looked down at her. Even though Willow was a tall woman, Marcel still towered over her. Maybe I shouldn't be here, the tension was high and I smiled of how intense their interaction was.
"I'll go now guys. Have a nice day." Willow turned to me.
"Will you visit again soon? I'd love to see both of you again." She looked at me with pleading eyes and clasped her hands together.
"Yes of course, Willow." She nodded and gave Aurora a kiss on her small foot.
"Bye Marcel." I said to him and he nodded while saying goodbye as well.
I started to walk down the hall to the elevator and heard Willow and Marcel arguing again.
As we arrived on his floor, I stepped out and headed to his office. I greeted Hayden and knocked on Leo's office door.
I opened it and his eyes lifted to me. A big smile formed on his lips, he immediately stood up and walked towards us.
"How is my princess?" He took Aurora out of her seat and prepped kisses all over her face. She giggled and buried her face in his chest.
"Hey baby." He came closer to me and gave me a soft kiss.
"I'm sorry we came here without telling you but she wouldn't stop crying and I had to bring here here to you. And I'm exhausted." I rubbed my eyes. I haven't slept all night. Leo was the sweetest and every time Aurora woke up, he would take her in his arms and get her back to sleep. Or if she needed food, he would prepare her the bottle. He never let me get up myself, but last night she wouldn't fall asleep.
"It's okay, Zaria. You don't even have to tell me when you want to visit. I'll never say no to you and my princess here." He hugged me with his one arm and kissed my temple. I stayed in his hold for a while, both me and Aurora needed him, just to hold us for few minutes.
"Go and lay, take a nap. I'll keep Aurora." He looked at her. "Isn't that right princess? Mommy should rest." She giggled out loud and wiggled her body in his arms.
I gave both of them a kiss. "Her food is in the bag, if she gets hungry." He nodded and I went to the sofa and placed the bag on the floor next to it. Leo was sat by the table and Aurora was in his arms, her eyes roaming around and looking for something to grab.
This was happiness. Seeing them together, my heart was full. Just us together, having small intimate moments to ourselves. It was all I could ask for.
I laid down and as soon as my head fell on the pillow, a sleep consumed me.

"Wake up, mommy." Small soft hands tapped my face and giggles filled my ears. Leo spoke again.
As I opened my eyes, I saw Leo crouched down with our baby girl in his arms. She was moving her hands around and smiling at me.
I sat up on the sofa and rubbed my eyes. Leo sat next to me and he massaged my head with his free hand.
"I ordered food. I didn't know if you'd be hungry after you wake up."
"I'm starving actually." I patted my stomach and leaned into his touch. Both me and Aurora were cuddled up next to him and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere.
These past few months have been tiring and exhausting but I wouldn't change them for anything. Aurora was a blessing in our lives and she was our little princess.
Everything evolved around her and my parents always visited since they wanted to spend as much time as they could with her. And so did my grandparents. Leo's parents did visit but they were more distant. His siblings visited us on our wedding day. And yes we got married, when I was eight months pregnant. It was a quick decision and we didn't really thought of it that much.
It was a small wedding just with our closest relatives and friends. It was held in our back yard and it was a blast.
I couldn't have asked for a better wedding. It was spontaneous but amazing. Leo organized everything in few weeks and everything went well.
And then after few weeks our baby girl arrived. The birth was not easy but thankfully at the end, everything went fine.
"Dad wanted us to go there for a dinner tomorrow. He said that you'll watch some important boxing match." Leo hummed.
"Yes he called me as well." Dad and Leo became like best friends. Mom and dad constantly invited us for dinners and lunches.
Mom loved cooking for us and for everyone so she always held dinners at their house.
"Okay I'll tell them we'll go." Leo's phone rang and after his conversation with whoever called him, Hayden stepped inside the office with two bags in his hands.
We thanked him and he went out. The food was here and I quickly dug into it.
Aurora was laying on the sofa between us, playing with her toys.
After we ate the delicious take out, I took her in my arms and held her close to me.
Leo's eyes were glued to us and his gaze softened. A smile plastered on his lips.
"I want another baby." He spoke out of nowhere. I playfully rolled my eyes.
"It's too soon now. Do you see how I look?" I pointed to my under eye bags. I looked like a zombie. My hair was also probably disheveled because of the nap.
"You look fucking amazing." He pushed a strand of my hair to the side. "Whenever you want, I would just love to have another baby running around the house."
I wanted that as well but maybe after two years. It was too soon now.
"Would you want another sibling princess?" He looked at Aurora. She just smiled and chewed on her gummy toys.
"Let's go home. I want to spend the whole day with you two. I'll tell Hayden to reschedule the meetings for tomorrow." He took her in his hands and I followed after them.
