The next day when Shen Qingyue arrived at work, she found that various types of flowers were placed on every desk in the open office, and even the potted plants in the corners had been replaced with flower arrangements. She looked puzzled and asked her assistant what was going on.

The assistant replied, “These were all sent by a Mr. Chi. He said it’s to improve your working environment.”

Shen Qingyue was surprised herself upon hearing that. Could it be that Shen Jun and those people had made arrangements? She gathered her thoughts and replied calmly, “You have no abilities of your own, so you come here in a fit of rage? How pathetic. Shen Yiyan, please learn to handle things calmly. Don’t act like a fool.”

Seeing Shen Yiyan in this state, she truly felt sorry for her past self. She had been cornered by such a person, leaving her with no way out.

Wei Jiu’er took pleasure in Ling Bing’er’s misfortune but pulled her back, saying, “Hold your tongue. Don’t make a spectacle in front of others.”
