Joslyn's pov

"I'm bored!!" Gavin whined for the umpteenth time. It had been a month of since the start of the holidays and he still had two more months.

You might think that he would be having the time of his life with the school holidays but you are wrong, super wrong.

He had been complaining about the fact that they are so bored and have nothing to do. To be honest, even I didn't know what to do for the most part.

I had little to no work due to I don't even know why. There hasn't been much work on weddings. I have no clue but oh well.

Jerome was constantly over at my house so it made things much better. We were still going strong, occasionally having media bombarding us.

It was pretty tiring hearing Gavin whine about how bored he is. You know, since the holidays started, I have been working from home since not everyone is free to make sure he stays out of trouble and I have been hearing him whine.

As much as I wanted to go on vacation, it is not as easy as it seems. Both Alden and Bethany had still school so I needed to make sure they were both not behind their studies and having to make arrangements for them.

However, I decided to go plan a vacation as a surprise for them. It definitely would be tiring and difficult, but it would be worth it seeing the smiles on their face.

Behind their backs, I plotted everything. I debated on asking Jerome to join but decided not to. But I did told him about the surprise and he was supportive of my decision.

It was a long overdue trip for us as a family. It had been a long time since we had a trip together, let alone a vacation.

I just hope everything would work out.

Third person's pov

"Who's sock is this?"  Joslyn heard Alden yell from his room. She comes to see a sock being thrown out of his room. A superman sock was chilling there on the floor and she immediately could recognize who's it was. Gavin's.

"GAVIN REN JAMES!! GRAB YOUR SOCKS!" She yelled at the stop of her lungs, catching his attention.

"Now who's ketchup packet is this? From McDonalds?" Bethany shouted from her room. Why do we have so many weird things? Joslyn thought to herself, sighing as she continued to pack a few more items.

Slowly, everything began falling in place as everyone zipped past their things and packed everything into their luggage.

In a week, they would be flying to Japan, specifically Tokyo for a week. It would be their first time going there and couldn't contain their excitement.

Joslyn had only been there once for work but it was very rush and she didn't have time to actually admire everything there.

Everyone was very excited to finally leave the country. They rarely live the country for vacation and this would be a memorable experience for them.

All they had to do was wait. Wait. Wait for the day to come.

"STOP EATING GAVIN! ALDEN HELP ME TAKE THE LUGGAGE! BETHANY STOP GAVIN FROM EATING! WESTON CHECK IF WE LEFT EVERYTHING!" She screamed at everyone while they all diligently followed the orders.

It was the day of the flight. They all had been really excited since they were surprised with the trip.

Flashback

Joslyn decided to surprise them during dinner. She knew that they would freak out in a good way- excitement.

Let's just say they were way more excited than she thought. When she told everyone about the spontaneous surprise trip, they all showed their excitement and happiness in their own ways.

Bethany immediately texted her close friends, Weston ran around the house like a mad person.

Alden tried to remain cool for the most part, you know older sibling things but of course it was hard while Gavin jumped up and pumped his fist in the air.

Joslyn couldn't help but laugh at their reactions, especially the two younger siblings.

At least they were elated with the surprise.

Flashback over

"Come on, we are going to be late!" Joslyn said as loud as she could muster. The shouting just now really affected her voice a lot.

Everyone came tumbling down, grabbing last minute items and chugging them into the boot. Today, their chauffeur, San was driving them to the airport and they would be taking the private jet Joslyn owned.

She rarely asked San, mainly her younger siblings since she was capable of driving. During the trip, they all chirped about how excited they were.

Since San is Japanese, he actually shared his experiences and the fun places to go in Japan, peaking everyone's interest even more.

"I can't wait!!" Bethany squealed.

Finally they had reached Tokyo after a 11 hours flight. "Ahhh! My butt hurts!!" Weston whined, rubbing his sore butt.

"Come on, let's go" She gestured them over as they did those airport things. Taking luggage, scanning our passports, etc.

Now, she was trying to find the driver she booked to bring them to the hotel. "Is that it?" Alden pointed out a woman holding her name, a grin making its way to her face.

She nodded as she grabbed her siblings hand's and walked towards the lady who greeted them.

"こんにちは (hello in Japanese)! I am your driver, Jana" Jana exclaimed. She was glad that she requested an English speaking driver, if not they wouldn't know how to communicate.

"Alright here's your stop! さようなら(bye in Japanese)!" Jana said before driving off to who knows where. Hotel Paradise was their destination. They were all glad to finally reach Japan.

11 hours of flight time plus finding the routes of  exhausting for each of them. All they had in mind was to lie in bed and have a nap in peace.

Joslyn had booked the largest room they offered which was basically an apartment with five bed rooms, 3 toilets, a kitchen, living room and a balcony.

It was perfect for the five of them and enough space for luggage and what not. The view from the rooms was also amazing.

"Okay guys pick your own room and you can rest for 2 hours. We are leaving at 1pm sharp for lunch okay?" To which they nodded.

She was super tired. The jet lag really got to her. There was a big time difference, 17 hours to be exact. While it was now night time in Los Angeles, it was the afternoon of the next day in Japan.

An hour later, she woke up much refreshed. As she knew she couldn't go back to sleep the moment she woke up, she took the time to get ready.

Took a shower, did some light makeup and changed into a white long sleeve top with jeans. To finish of the look, she paired the look with boots.

The weather was not too cold, not too hot, a perfect weather which was great since they didn't need a lot of luggage space.

Since it was their first day, it was a very chill day, just shopping at places near the hotel and trying new food.

Since she still had half and hour left, she decided to be productive and do some work while waiting for 1pm to hit.

This is going to be fun trip as a family, she thought to herself.
